Alec relaxed, leaned under my touch on his face, and took a few deep breaths as I instructed him.
Slowly opening his eyes and looking at me with a much softer gaze, the moment felt good as we both calmed each other down in one way or the other. I just felt the urge to hug him tight at that moment but stopped myself knowing it won't be the right thing to do
I saw him and then my hands and slowly removed them from his face and looked away "So what happened? What's the emergency?" I asked looking into his eyes for an answer
"Jace and Izzy went to talk to the Seelies, while I was instructed to look after Clary by Mother but she snuck out of the institute. I was with her and her mundane friend just a few minutes ago but then I heard something outside and went to check and as I turned around I saw Clary and him taken away by people" he said huffing with his hand still on mine
"And now Jace is mad that I let Clary slip out and we can't find her and he's mad at me now and I can't wrap my head around it," he said as he took a deep breath
"You IDIOT!!" I punched him in the shoulder and hugged him tightly sighing
"I thought something happened to you guys at the institute an attack or something. You scared the shit out of me Alexander" I said as he embraced me too in the hug. I realized my actions and slowly parted away
He had this expression of both happiness and worry on his face by the sudden hug and confrontation
"Now, listen to me I know you're worried that something might happen to Clary, but don't worry I know a way to reach them. And don't think much about Jace, he'll calm down the moment he finds a way to get to her. Okay" I explained and comforted him patting his shoulder as he took a deep breath
"Here" I took out a bottle from my bag and handed it over to him
"Thank you" he drank some and closed the bottle giving it back as we sat down for a minute "I don't why I called you-you were out with Magnus regarding your family matter," he said running a hand through his hair
"You were worried, and in trouble, and seeing you I think you both might have gotten into a rift regarding Clary and you just needed someone to listen to your point of view. It's okay Alec, Situations like these happen all the time" I said squeezing his hand a little as looked over and smiled back
"Come on now, You go on while I find a way to track them the other way, " I stated as he got up and stopped for a second while I got to make a call
"Veronica" he called out
"Yeah," he came and hugged me as I smiled a blush covered my cheeks and my ears became red hot red.
"Thank you," he said as I patted his back lightly while blushing
"Anytime Alec" I stuttered a bit and said as he went back to his usual self smiling and walked away both of us were now smiling as I dialed a number
"Luke, I need your help Clary's in danger," I said as the guy on the other side picked up the phone
"I know I'm on my way there. I'm texting you the address." He said over the other line as I nodded and rushed back to the group
"I got the location/We got the location," we all said at the same and a smile formed on all of our faces as we rushed over to the place
It was the Jade Wolf Chinese Restaurant over the port, We all separated as Izzy went looking for Simon while Alec, Jace, and I went looking for Clary and came across Luke Jace and Alec tackled him as we ran back to the meeting point.
"Let's go," Jace said as Simon started walking and he was stopped by Isabelle
"Simon whatever you don't make a fast move," Isabelle said getting into formation
"We're surrounded," Alec said drawing his arrow as I got my sword out and my other hand ready with magic
"Everyone get back that's the alfa" Jace shouted as we saw a wolf coming out of the restaurant with green emerald eyes he pushed us back as I stumbled a little onto Alec by the push
My hand was resting on his jacket as he turned and I nodded "Push before you see mockingbird" I exclaimed to Jace as he scoffed
"Sorry, didn't know someone would lose their balance while fighting," he said as I snickered and turned around looking out for the wolves with my blade in hand and my magic coming into form into another
"Jace to the right" Clary alerted as Alec shot an arrow at the wolf heading our way
"No don't" I shouted as Alec's arrow injured Jason and rushed to his side all of them looked at me in shock
"He's on our side," I said as everyone kept staring at him
"Just focus on the Alfa for now guys he's the real problem right now. One scratch from him and we're all dead" I demanded as they all looked away focusing on the alfa as I took Jason away and returned back
The Alfa soon charged at us as another wolf jumped from above tackling him as he charged at the Alfa
"He's challenging the alfa," Alec said as I saw where he was pointing
Simon said in between "Or maybe cutting in line to kill us, I'm a vampire guys they don't like me so..." he started talking in his usual self
"Shut up Simon, just stop talking. Luke doesn't do it" I said to Simon as I called out to Luke,
The fight ended and we moved closer to see what happened while hoping that Luke was okay.
The Alfa had died as Luke emerged from behind the crates and all the remaining wolves started howling as we got closer
"Luke what happened, what's going on I don't understand," Clary asked worried and in confusion
"Whenever a wolf kills the Alfa he becomes the new Alfa" Jace explained as the werewolves changed their forms
"And right now they're accepting Luke as their new Alfa" I exclaimed as Jace eyed me
"How do you know?" He asked
"No time to explain Jace," I said as Luke called out for both Clary and me, Clary rushed to his side while I stood there looking at him
"Who brought you here and because of whom it came to a point like this," I asked both Luke and Clary.
"I thought I told you to bring them to me safely," Luke said and looked behind as I got my answer
I turned around and saw Alaric standing on one of the crates as I shot him a glare "You Bastard" I cursed seeing him as Alec and Jace stopped me
"Veronica no" Luke called out but it was too late I was already gotten out of the way and rushed over to Alaric overthrowing the rest of the werewolves in my way as I pushed him down the crates onto the floor.
I tackled him to the ground throwing punches left and right "Because of you Luke's in this state. What if he had died in that fight then what? You call him a friend and don't care about that?" I snarled and got him up pushing him back into a crate
"We don't keep secrets from each other, especially in the force. And you betrayed us all Alaric" I said as I wielded my magical side Luke called Jason out as he changed his form bowing to Luke and pointing him toward me
"Control" Jason ran to me before Jace and Alec could and grabbed me by the waist stopping me from hitting Alaric any further
"Jason, leave me. JASON!!" I shouted but he didn't ease his grip on me as I jumped around
"You need to control yourself, even if he betrayed everyone you can't punish him," he asserted
"Just let me go once and I'll show this guy what betrayal looks like" I glared at Alaric as Jason hurled me over to the other direction and let go
of me
"Hey, control your magic, calm down" Pulling me around he held my shoulders and demanded I look at him
"Get it in control," he said as I looked between him and Alaric and took a breath, and calmed myself down.
Seeing this and my closeness with Jason. Alec shot him a glare and looked away as he was getting jealous of him
"Veronica," Luke called as I went in and hugged him tightly embracing him as he hugged me back and kissed my forehead as Clary watched being a little jealous but in a nice way
"You scared me, I can't see you get hurt" I whispered
"I know" he whispered back as we broke the hug and he looked over at me and Clary
"I promised both your mothers that I'll protect you both with my life" he stated as we both smiled looking at each other and back at Luke as Clary and Simon went to hug him while I stayed back
"Don't pull a stunt like this on me again, please. I was scared for you." I said crossing my hands as Jason came forward and wrapped his hands around my shoulder and gave me a look.
"You okay?" I asked Jason
"A little," he said as he shifted a bit and I nodded
As Clary and Simon hugged Luke he smiled at me and nodded and lost consciousness as I rushed to his side "Luke, shit" I said as Jason and Simon held him as Jace came forward and got it from there
" He's deeply hurt, he needs a warlock," Jace said
"He needs Magnus we need to take him there," Clary said as Alec quickly pulled Jace away stopping him from meddling in the down world's business but Jace being Jace he remained adamant seeing Clary
Jace, Clary, and Simon were ready to take Luke to Magnus I stayed back as they put him in the car and he called out " I'll be there you're going to be fine Luke. Just hold on" I said resting him as Clary and Jace saw me
"Aren't you coming with us?" They both asked
"You guys go ahead and call me if you need something I'll be there after you, just need to handle a few things here," I said as Jace nodded and Simon drove off.
Alec and Isabelle were pretty mad at Jace for going and I could understand as they needed to report to Maryse about today's mission.
"Here," I said bringing my hands forward as Jason looked skeptical "Show me your arm idiot," I said as he smiled
"You know you didn't have to do this," he says as I heal his wound
"I'll be with you guys soon you can go ahead I'll finish this and be there " I gave Alec a slow blink and nod smiling as he still waited for a few minutes with Isabelle as I healed Jason and turned to face Alaric
"Oh, No you don't get to get close to him love," Jason said holding his hand up in front of me
"Jase,"
"I know but you're not going there. You are going back with your friends " he demanded as I looked at him and then at Alec as he stood there with his arms folded watching me and Jason
"We'll handle him in the morning once Luke gets better right now it's useless and I don't want you to lose control over your magic," he said explaining to me as I looked from my shoulders to him and nodded
I rolled my eyes as he grinned
" but you, you don't get anywhere near Luke or you'll not like it, " I said pointing to Alaric as he nodded saying sorry and I walked ahead with Jason smiling
"And don't think you won by stopping me, stop smiling I can see it "
"Who said I thought of winning, I'm not smiling " he turned around on cue to face me as I walked to Isabelle and Alec
"See you in the morning, take care"
"See you too. Take care" I said as I created a portal to the institute and we all stepped inside reaching the institute
