Roy:
I'm gonna show Jade my favorite place to relax. It's awesome! She's probably gonna say something mean about it, but I kinda like that about her. I think.
"So, where are you taking me?" Jade asks as she follows Roy through a hidden park trail.
"Just wait. It's worth the mystery." Roy grins.
"Ugh! Fine."
(Soon Roy removes some tree brush revealing a beautiful river.)
"Woah! I didn't know Gotham had rivers. Sewer drains, but not rivers." Jade exclaims.
"Yeah well this runs from the ocean. It's protected and maintained by some naturalist club. Not many people know about it. Cool huh?" Roy says as he relaxes on the sand.
"Ok, it's cool." Jade admits, laying next to him.
"Sigh. So relaxing. I like to come here to..."
"Get out of doing chores." Jade interrupts with a smirk.
"Funny. And kinda true." Roy replies.
"So does Richard and Wally know about this place?"
"Naaa..."
"Then why did you show me?" Jade raises a brow.
"I don't know. I guess because you seem sorta trustworthy."
"I know! Stupid." Roy continues.
"No. It's not stupid. Not very smart, but I get it." Jade grins.
"What do you mean by 'not very smart'?"
"It's just that I'm not always the best person."
"Oh. Yeah, me neither. I try though." Roy says.
(Suddenly Jade leans towards Roy, staring at him.)
"What?" Roy replies, turning towards Jade.
"I'm just looking at you." Jade laughs.
"So you do laugh."
"Sometimes. But not very often."
"I'm glad I got to hear it." Roy grins.
"Why?"
"Because. It's a nice laugh."
"You're weird."
"Maybe."
"Hey, what time is it?" Jade asks.
"Uuuh...four o'clock. Why?"
"My dad is gonna kill me, that's why. I should go." Jade says, quickly standing up.
"Sigh. Ok. See ya later."
"Sure. And Roy."
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for showing me this place. I'm glad you did." Jade smiles.
"Me too. Maybe tomorrow we could hang out?" Roy says.
"After school?"
"Of course, unless you plan on ditching."
"I could, but just for one day." Jade smirks.
"Cool. I'm in."
"Great. Bye." Jade grins before running off.
"Bye. Sigh. This is gonna be a weird relationship. I can feel it. Maybe it'll be interesting though." Roy says to himself.
