ONTO THE STORY~!
Hailey stood there, Frozen still as she looked at the camera in front of her, Her phone having a display of Jakes camera as he was looking at her with a fully serious expression. Her face went completely white for a moment before starting to turn slightly pink. Zander could hear this all from the room next door. He didn't intervene, he already told her he wouldn't mingle in her business.
"Uhm... Hail-"
Hailey hung up, But instantly regretted it. She slightly started to hyperventilate, quickly getting butter fingers as she scrambled to keep her phone in her hands, but ends up dropping it off the bed. before she could pick it up, Zander ran into the room. He assumed she was panicking due to shock, and tried to calm her down. Unfortunately, She fell asleep due to the adrenaline wearing off of her sudden panic. Zander sighed, and then calls Jake himself. Jake didn't pick up though and this caught Zander a bit off guard. He tried to text Jake next
'Oui, Doofus, Pick up the phone'
Zander then tries to call again, No answer. He tries again, Not a single ring before it is hung up. Zander decided to wait until Hailey wakes up, but she didn't until next morning. Zander decided he'd straighten Jake out for ignoring his texts and calls. Hailey wasn't doing well, She was in deep regret, and heavily apologetic which was normal after her panics, but not to this extent before.
After a while of being at school, searching for Jake, They couldn't find him, anywhere. Not even around his old friends or the club. Hailey felt stinging pain in her heart because of this.
Did...Did I waste my chance... h-he hates me now, doesn't he... He probably thinks I was... toying with him...
Hailey thought to herself, the tears started to form in her eyes and Zander quickly noticed, Hugging her in a comforting manner. Zander suddenly got a text
'down'
Zanders eyes widened, but then formed a confused expression. The text... was oddly rushed, and it was from Jake. Why would he just say... Down? Zander shows the text to Hailey, Who was just as confused. It wasn't like Jake to rush his texts, alongside not pick up his phone. They started to get worried.
Suddenly the schools lights went out, causing everyone to panic slightly. Authorities were rushing onto the scene, and some of security even grabbed Hailey away to take into custody. Zander was appalled, and tried to stop them, but was shoved aside.
Hailey was stuck in shock, unable to process anything... But one thing was clear... She saw some of the security guards run... down... Suddenly Jakes text made sense.. But why would he... be down there again after what happened yesterday? At one point, The security got slightly distracted, giving her an opening to break free and go downstairs, she even saw Sean go down there... but why?
After sneaking her way down, She watches as search parties flood the basement, wearing head lights so they could see... and the sight made Hailey sick... those stepping sounds... some of sloshes of the floor... they weren't leaked water... She held her mouth closed as she saw something... A necklace...
Jakes... Necklace.
Tears flood her eyes, She quickly ran to it and picked it up. She held it against her chest, she couldn't stop the tears from pouring down her face.
"No no no no...This can't be happening... Your not gone please... We just fixed everything... Jake... Jake Please....Jake Sterling you...You..."
"F o u n d . . . Y o u . . ."
Hailey whipped back, and she... saw what made those groaning noises when she was here... the loud clanging... the stomps... the whizzing... The... stretching... She looked the monster in the eyes, or... what looked like eyes. White, purplish glowing death skulls for pupils. Her body ran cold and her eyes had gone wide as the figure took a heavy, metalic and rusty step towards her. She heard some sort of... squish noise when his leg had moved. It sounded... wet, and mangled beyond repair.
Hailey took a step backwards, her fear seemed to satisfy the creature. The giant had started to softly, yet also eerily chuckle as it watched her.
"You can't"
Hailey flinched, hearing his voice more clearly then before, yet... it still sounded like it's vocal cords were pierced and punctured to ground beef. Her fear only grew as she was now backed against a wall. The figure continued to walk towards her, and it started to reach out to her.
"F e e d"
It spoke, Causing Hailey to shake, quiver, and tremble. She looked down, and to her left, she saw a loose pipe which had been mangled to the ground. It was her best chance, so she took it. She picked up the pipe quickly, and slammed it into the monsters face, causing it to flinch and stumble backwards before regaining its footing and glaring at her again.
"I love it when they fight back~"
Hailey trembled even more. She decided to then run, going as fast as she could through the darkness of the schools basement. After a few moments of running, she heard the monster chase her, however, proceeded to stop, Hailey turned back, but then tripped over something... something heavy. She fell onto her face, wincing in pain.
She looked up and made out... a body. Quivering, Shaking, Crying even. She crawled over and saw her peach haired friend laying there, He seemed injured as his hand was paralyzed from the amount of blood that was spilling from it. Haileys eyes fill with panic. She whispers
"Jake?! Wh-What are you doing here?! You're hurt...!!!"
She tried to help him up, giving his necklace back to him. Jake held onto her as they both got up, He couldn't speak. Hailey looked around, noticing the security guards were all distracting that... monster. She quickly helped Jake through the area and tried to find light, and she did. She found a very feint light and ran for it. Jake tried to keep up but stumbled occasionally, Causing Hailey to slow down a bit.
"I know it hurts Jake, But please, We're almost there...!"
Jake solemnly nodded, grunting in pain as they both draw close to the exit, But suddenly...
CLANG.
SPLATTER.
CRUSH.
Hailey felt the weight on her shoulder fall off, crashing onto the floor... Hailey turned her head to see the monster having tossed the same pipe she used on him... and when she saw what it hit...
"Jake?! JAKE!!!!"
She screams, Kneeling down... The pipe was lodged through his body, through the stomach. Blood spilled from his body, The pipe was stained with it, and Jake's body had made a crushing sound when it had pushed against the pipe. Jake was wailing, screaming and crying in pain as Hailey was screaming, Fearful for her life, for her loves life.
"JAKE PLEASE DON'T DIE ON ME! PLEASE GET UP...! WE CAN STILL GET OUT OF HERE PLE-"
Hailey was cut off, The figure grabbing her head and bringing her up. The lights suddenly sparked on, Revealing the monster...
"S a y G o o d n i g h t L i t t l e C h i l d."
Hailey screamed louder than ever before as The broken down fleshy monster took off its metal mask to reveal a skewered head, meat and blood mixed into a head covered by a rabbits mask.
She saw flesh throughout its entire body. It was all skewered, Merged with rusty metal, even some bones, Some BROKEN bones were seen sticking out of the meat. The sight disgusted Hailey, and she cried for Jake, Someone to help her. She begged, But the figure had brought its hand to her neck, and snapped it.
"NOOOO!!!!!!!"
She screamed at the top of her lungs.
