It's been four days since the night at the bar and nothing has been the same since then.
Vee seemed to avoid Mark, or at least Mark thought so.
In reality, the older just wasn't as bubbly as usual around Mark.
Mark tried to talk to him about that a few times but he always ended the call, saying he needs to go or that he couldn't meet up with Mark.
The young boy felt like shit.
He liked Vee.
He really liked him and since he knew that Vee liked him more than just as a brother, it was hard for Mark to concentrate on something other than this.
He obviously didn't feel disgusted or angry.
Just.. weird.
He took his phone from the bedsidetable and decided to write him.
It was 1 am, which means Vee must be home by now.

Are you alright?
Yes.
Vee why are you
avoiding me ?

The young boy stared at the screen until Vees status turned from 'online' to 'offline'.
Vee didn't reply and something about that made Marks heart shatter.
He felt like he got rejected and he didn't knew why.
"Fuck you Vee.." He whispered to himself, locked his phone and turned around to put his phone away.
He was tired but he wanted to talk to Vee so badly.
He didn't thought that it would end in the older ignoring him
"I don't like being awake anymore.." He said and after a few more minutes he finally fell asleep.

"Mark ?!"
The young boy woke up with a racing heart and banging on his door.
"Mark ?! Are you alright?"
He got up and walked over to the door.
He opened it a bit and looked into the brown, puffy eyes of Vee.
"What are-"
"Mark .." He said, pushed the door open and pulled the younger in his arms.
"I'm sorry."
"Vee, what's going on ? You're scaring me."
"I didn't mean to make you feel like you mean nothing to me."
"Vee are you drunk ?"
"No. Maybe but that's not the point."
"Where do you come from ?"
"I was at the bar drinking and overthinking about.. about us !"
"Vee.."
"No Mark I am really sorry."
"Vee please stop. Come inside and -"
"Mark listen to me. I may be drunk but I know what I feel."
"Don't do this to me."
"Mark, I know that you're grieving and I know that I'm just a friend to you but I can't keep my feelings for you as a secret anymore."
"Vee.."
"Mark, please give me a chance.."
...
"Give me a chance to love you and make you happy."
"Vee.."
The older held Mark tightly by his shoulders and looked into his eyes for a bit before he finally broke eye contact and looked down to the floor.
"I'm sorry Mark.. forget what I said."
He let go of Marks shoulders and turn around, ready to leave.
"Vee.." Mark said and stopped the older from leaving by grabbing his wrist and turning him around.
He didn't hesitate and with his hands on Vee's cheeks, he pulled him in for a kiss.
Their lips crushed on another but none of them moved.
Vee froze in shock and when Mark pulled away, he stared into his eyes.
"You kissed me."
"I did."
"You kissed me." He repeated with wide eyes.
For a second they just looked at each other and finally Vee pulled him in for another kiss, pushing him inside his condo.
It was an innocent kiss, making both boys feel good but Mark broke it again.
"We should go to bed now. You can sleep here." He said, unsure on how to react.
"I can ?"
"Of course. Just sleep !"
"Don't worry, I won't do other things than sleeping next to you when I'm drunk."
"I won't do other things than sleeping next to you either way right now." Mark said with a smirk as he handed Vee some clothes.
"Drunk or sober." He added.
"Bet ?" Vee said with a smirk, making Mark laugh.
"Shut up and just change your clothes. Good night."

"You did what ?!"
"I kissed him." He admitted to his friends
"Why ?" James asked.
"I don't know.."
"Mark.."
"He told me about his feelings.."
"TOLD YOU !"
"Yihwa.." James shushed her.
"Well after the night at the bar he was acting weird. We had a little quarrel and he ignored me. I felt.. rejected ? I don't know why but my heart was hurting pretty badly and suddenly he stood in front of my door, drunk, telling me about his feelings."
"Mark ? Is it possible that you like Vee ?"
"Kamphan..I'm grieving."
"Grieving doesn't mean that you can't fall for someone."
"But.."
"Mark, I know you're holding on to Nuea. You love him and no one can take your memories. But you have to live in the future, Mark. You're not abandoning or forgetting him for living in the world of the living. It hurts but Nuea is gone and he won't come back, but he would want you to live your life and be happy."
Mark tried his best not to cry but couldn't help himself.
"Excuse me please." He said and got up, running towards the toilet.
This didn't happened in like three months.
He always left the room the second he felt like crying to avoid others to see but now, it was too late.
Other students saw him but they didn't really care anymore now that Nuea was gone for months.
For the others, it was just another dude that died.
They felt pitty for Mark for a few days but life goes on, right ?
He stepped inside one of the cabins and tried to muffle his sobs with his hand.
"I'm sorry Nuea.." Mark whispered through tears.
"I am so sorry my baby."
"I think I like Vee. I swear I didn't mean to.. I am so sorry." He whispered over and over again.
"Maybe Nuea send him because he saw that Vee's a good guy."
Silence.
Mark wiped away his tears and opened the door.
"Yoo ? What are you doing here ?"
"My partner goes to this university. They forgot their maths homework so - here I am. I didnt mean to eavesdrop, sorry. But I saw you running in here, heard Nuea and Vee and instantly knew that you're in this stall here."
"I see.."
"So you actually like my brother ?"
"I.. I don't know, I-"
"You're confused, I get that. Mark whatever it is between you and my brother, please don't hurt his feelings. He's been through a lot and I don't want him to suffer again. Don't put his feelings above yours and your grieving but please care about him and his feelings."
"I'm sorry Yoo. Your brother really means a lot to me."
"Don't cry P'Mark." Yoo said and pulled Mark into a hug.
"Yoo ?" Another voice called.
"Baby, hey. One second, I need to comfort Mark."
The young boy giggled.
"Mark this is my boyfriend Tawan. Baby, that's Mark, a friend of Vee."
"Boyfriend ?"
"Yes. Hi, it's nice to meet you." Tawan said.
"Nice to meet you." Mark answered wiping away his tears.
He turned to Yoo and whispered.
"You always talked about a partner?"
"Hm ? Oh yeah." Yoo began to chuckle and turned to his boy.
"That's my boyfriend Tawan. They go by he/they. That's a bit new to me so I try to call them by his they/them pronouns as much as possible."
"I see." Mark said with a smile.
"Oh fuck sorry, you're here to give this to Tawan. Sorry for holding you up."
"It's fine. I saw you crying outside and I figured that Yoo must know you since he instantly turned to follow you."
"Oh.. Well uhm.."
"Are you feeling better now ?" The smiling boy said.
Tawan seemed like such a sweet, caring person.
"Yes. Thank you Tawan. I need to go back to my friends now. Tawan, it was lovely to meet you. Yoo, please don't tell Vee, okay ?"
"I won't I promise."
Mark nodded with a smile and left the restroom to go back to his friends.
"You feel better now ?"
"Yes.. Kind of."
"I'm sorry for making you cry."
"I didn't cry, shut it." Mark laughed, making his friends giggle.
"You guys are right. Nuea would want me to be happy. It's just.. hard ? I know.. It's been nearly nine months now but I lost my boyfriend. My soulmate. The love of my life. I can't forget that in the blink of an eye, yet I know that I feel something for Vee. I'm not sure what it is and it's definitely not love. At least not yet. But it is something and I need to accept that because I don't want to hurt him and I don't want to hurt myself."
"I'm proud of you Mark." Fuse said.
"You know - you two don't need to be boyfriends right now but you need to talk about that and get to know each other and your feelings and maybeeee go out on cute dates ?"
"Yihwa he just accepted his feelings. Don't over do it, god.."
"You're no fun James." She said making the others laugh.
"Anyways - I'm proud of you aswell darling." She said and grabbed Marks hand.
"Please do yourself a favor and talk to Vee as soon as possible." Kamphan added.
"I will.."
