Tears Freeway

Liquid roads slide
Over rosy hills and darkened valleys
Nary a glance at passersby’s
Every passenger of the same mind
Departing in the darkness to hide
Majestically merging upon the solemn freeway
Pain wracked faces on a shared ride
Melancholy mingling within each cab
Swiped away by trembling hand.
