As a certain sorcerer walked down the busy streets of Ninjago city. As the Children laughed; Everyone seemed happy despite the invasion happening. The people who were happily passing out candy, greeting trick-or-treaters, and above all having a jolly good time. It Was, unfortunately, interrupted, when they saw Matias. People ran off the streets, closed their windows, and locked their doors, pulling the children inside. Of course, Matias was used to this, since as part of the sorcerers that invaded Ninjago city, and took it over in a hostile takeover o their reactions to him walking down the streets were completely normal in his option. He sighed as he walked, wishing Zephyr would've told them what he saw, and what his plan was. But then again he was always left out of the planning aspect of things. He Didn't know why he was always left out. Zephyr always told him he was an important member of the team, and he had a very important role. But he always felt like, in these situations or within like a few times of being forced to get the items that zephyr requested, he and Ava get. He felt like he was an errand boy, and he felt like ava got a little more respect from zephyr than him. It always seemed, he always got the short end of the stick while Ava Got the good missions, and The good tasks, while He felt like half the time the items, The spell caster requested, were just things to make coffee. He shook his head. He didn't need to worry about that, He had much bigger things to worry about at that moment, other than worrying about himself, and his status on the team. Shaking his head, reached his hand down into his pocket, and he heard the paper rustle within his pocket. That was good, he didn't lose it thankfully.
He ran his fingers, over the piece of paper as he slowly brought the piece of paper to face him. He heard the wind rustle around him, and he saw the beautiful autumn leaves going around in the wind almost like they were flying. He brought the paper to eye level, and soon he read over the piece of paper, and his eyes scanned over the paper. The items seemed somewhat normal. It was like, ingredients that they usually use when they have to do a more powerful type of spell casting. Although, He was a little worried. Besides The plan Of luring The elemental masters to zephyrs island, they could use Harumi for their plan. His other plans didn't always have the best track record of working. He soon halted to a stop, looked around at his surrounding, pressed the button for the crosswalk, and impatiently waited for The walk sign to turn on. Matias sighed, as he tapped his foot, and almost felt like a million years had passed, and it felt like it was taking forever. Looking around, he saw a few citizens. Who either hadn't seen him, didn't care, or believed they were safer from him inside their cars. He saw people driving around the streets, obeying the traffic laws, and going up their day in a normal fashion. There were some kids, and the people had bigger and larger pickup trucks. Even though it didn't seem safe to him, at least in his option, He saw kids in costumes, In the back of the trucks. The Hatch or whatever it's called was closed for the kids' safety. But Mattis still didn't think that was very safe. Because if he were to hit a bump or something in the road, there was no doubt in his mind, that a kid would fall out and could get seriously hurt. He couldn't and felt like he would never understand, how an adult would feel like it would be safe to let their children ride in the back. Although it wasn't his problem, He for some reason got a strange feeling inside him. One said, That he needed to help and make sure those kids would be safe. As the spell caster was about to walk, over he stopped himself and shook his head. He had a mission he had to do, What was he thinking? He couldn't go and help those citizens, he was an all-powerful spell caster, part of the elite group that took over Ninjago city, and stole
the Throne From Harumi. He wasn't a good guy, he was a bad guy, and bad guys don't go and help the citizens. That wasn't something a bad guy does. At least that was what zephyr told him many years ago. "I need to focus on the matter at hand, and not get distracted," He says as he scolds himself, as he took another look at the piece of paper, to start to think about where in Ninjago city these items would be. He scanned the items, and then he sighed. Back when they were on an island, Finding these items that were listed on the list. But now since they were in the big city. Where everything was spread out, and nothing was close to each other. He felt like he would never find the items he requested. "There has to be somewhere I can find these items" He looked around, and then he walked down the sidewalk side, down the streets, as people started to walk down the streets as he was walking down. It seemed like everyone felt it was safe to come out once he was walking away. He heard people talking about him, and he heard people whispering. He was used to this, back when he was in school, he was always bullied for his interests, and it was almost like like everything he did was wrong. The only person he trusted, and felt like She was his only friend was ava, and It didn't even feel like They were even friends anymore, and that saddened him deeply, as they were very close when they were younger, They did everything together, and they were joint at the hip you could say, but that all changed When Zephry came into the picture, and sometimes he wished He never did.
He wished he could be free, live another life, and be able to get away from all of this. He didn't like hurting people, he didn't like what they did, he thought it was completely wrong, and whenever he does something bad, he feels like, he could hear people whispering into his ears, and he could hear the chimes of people whispering in his ear scolding him for everything he does. He sighed sadly, as he pushed those thoughts away. He didn't want to think of any of this, he knew what he needs to do, and he knows what is expected of him. Even though it's things he doesn't want to do but he knew he had to do whatever Zeprhy says, or there would be consequences. Pushing away a piece of his hair, he tried to get his focus on what he needed to do. Looking around he saw the different shops, and he saw all the different faces, and how the people all looked very happy. All the shops were brightly colored, and Eye-popping things would attract people to the store. He didn't really care for all the cutesy things that were being used to attract customers. They had either bright colors, or babyish colors, and he almost rolled his eyes. "I Can't believe people, Actually go within these stores. They Look horrible" He muttered. He strode past all the stores giving his silent judgement, when suddenly
He raised an eye, as he saw The giant Blue cup, with White markings on the rim. In the middle of the cup, The cup had a face, and it had a Cutesy face, It almost looked like one of those cutesy anime faces. Now something about Matias, was he Never had coffee, He never had any caffeine. It might've sounded weird but Zephry never Allowed him to have coffee. He said Cofee, wasn't good. And he should never drink it because it's not good for him, and because of that He always avoided coffee. But Looking inside the shop, and seeing everyone inside looking calm, and some were at tables and drinking their Things, they were calm. And everyone looked like they were having a great time. He looked inside the shop, and he knew he had things he knew he needed to do the things on zephyr's List. However when was the last time he ever did anything for himself? Making his decision, he grabbed the door handle he opened the door, as the bell rang singling he was coming inside. When he closed the door behind him. He saw everyone staring at him. He gulped, and took a deep breath, as he slowly walked in, he saw all the wooden chairs, the matching Wooden tables, and the wooden floors. There were some bright rugs on the floor, he saw the place was decorated, and some cats were playing on some Cat things, and that was when he realized this was a cat cafe. But he didn't mind he liked cats. He smelled coffee and bakery goods. And it smelled delicious. He looked around, and he couldn't believe how this place looked so cutesy. Yet He was okay with that, even though he Hadn't been okay with it before. He walked up to the counter, and he saw the employee looimg at him, fear was obviously in her face but She hid it very well with a smile. A smile was present on her face, and he saw she had a work outfit on, the outfit was green, and then black pants, with an apron, and a Cap on her head. Matias looked up and when he did he saw there was a menu above him, and when he saw there were a ton of options, for him to choose from. He took a few minutes to look it over, and then looked at the person. "What would you recommend I Get?" he asked. The Blonde women get confused, and almost looked shocked That he asked. The woman didn't even know what to say, and she almost looked like she was at a loss for words. And he almost felt like, the other people were staring at him now more, than when he first walked into the store. Taking a few deep breaths the girl looked at him, adjusted her hat, and then smiled.
"Well, Do You like A stronger coffee or would you rather have something a little sweeter? Matias thought about that for a few seconds. He wasn't exactly sure since he never had coffee before, or a frappe or anything like that, he put a hand to his chin, To think about it. Suddenly a voice spoke from behind him. "Why don't you try An Cold brew?" When he turned around Matias was at a loss for words, the girl that had spoken, was a beautiful girl. Her face was somewhat heart-shaped, she had beautiful green eyes, bouncy long Blonde hair, and she looked pristine. Nothing was out of place, her outfit was clean and pressed, her shoes were shiny, and everything looked like it was all in place, and nothing was out of place. He didn't know why but his heart was racing, and his palms were sweaty, he felt shaky. He didn't know what this feeling was. But he found there were no words that were coming out of his mouth. The girl blinked and asked if he was alright. And Matias quickly shook his head and blinked a few times. "Yes, Yes I'm fine!" he said quickly. As he coughed, then turned to face the employee ready to order his drink. "I'll have a cold brew," He says. The girl nodded, and When the girl said the total Of the drink Matias was confused and was about to ask, the girl from behind him, offered to pay, and Along with it ordered her to drink. Once that was done. she pulled him by the arm To a table in the corner so they could have some privacy.
Once they were sat down at their seats they were sloient, and matias was confused on. How She wasn't scared of him, or even angry at him. For wjats been happening for the past few weeks. He took a deep breath, and waited to hear what she was gonna say, when he turned and saw the girl was leaning back in her chair. Matias cleared his throat, and then spoke."So, you from around here?" he asked. As the girl then haad a shy expression on her face, as she went and twirled her blonde hair. "Oh, I just Moved here a few days ago, I'm new to the city" matias nodded. As he took that in. now it made sense on how she wasn't scared of him like the rest of the patrons were. He nodded, and then he smiled. "So Do You, have any hobbies?" He asked. The girl's face turned into a smile, and soon smiled brightly. "Oh, i'm a painter, i dance, You know normal things" She says as she leaned down and grabbed something from her purse. It was a small rectangler Box. He must of been looking at it strangerly because the girl chuckled, and said: "What? Never seen a phone before?" SHe teased him. As the spell casters face went bright red.
He put a hand behind his head, and now along with his other emotional he felt flustered, and he had No idea why. "No, actually What exactly does this 'Phone' do" The girl laughed, as she went and pulled her phone so it could be in the middle of the table. The case was a cute pink, with a art design all over it. He thought it was pretty cool. He watched as he put in some sort of code, and then it unlocked the phone, ans matais jumped back. "What spell did you cast to make it open?!" he asked. The girl chuckled, and shook her head. "No Spell, You see with a phone. Its password protected so No one could get inside your phone but you" She explains as he nodded, ans slowly started to calm down. This was all a new concept to him. He never used one of these 'phones' before since Zephry told him, and Ava That there was no need for any type of technology since they had spells that would help themout more then any phone could. And he blived him, he didntr have any reason not to so he never used a phone. He was brought out of his thoughts when he heard: "this this the home screen, You can have wallpaper in the backroom to make it your own personizaltion!" the man nodded as he looked at the background, and when he did he saw a beautiful painting in the background. And he could'nt help but ask. "Did you paint that painting? Its beautiful" the girl blushed and nodded. "It took be about a month just to get everything right, but i turned out amazing". Matias nodded, amnd agreed with her. "I'll say, your an amazing artist" The girl looked away and blushed. "T-thank you, that very sweet of you say" Matias nodded, and they both became silent and just starred into each other's eyes, and he breathed a sigh. He loved looking at her face and he couldn't believe how beautiful she was truly. She was like a goddess, and he felt like there wasn't anyone else in the world but the two of them, and for the first time in several year he finally felt happy.
He felt so sheepish because he had never spent alone time with a girl before, sure he talked with ava, but she wasn't really his type. Not to mention, They weren't very close anymore zephyr got into the middle of their friendship, and The one time He tried to scold ava for revealing Herself to harumi in the dream world, Zephyr attacked him for that, since he was the one who thought was okay. He felt like he got the short end of the stick, and during times he didn't think he was being treated a fairly as Ava. He sighed sadly ans the girl saw his saddened expression. "Are you Okay? You seem Sad" Matais quickly shook his head, and nodded frantically. "Yes, I'm Fine I'm just think about My Dog..... Penny". the 's face turned into one of concern and she never looked liken she was going ton judge him. "What happened" She asked softly, as matais knew he needed tro make up a lie, even though he didn't want to lie to this girl but knew he had to. "Oh, With all the chaos Going on. My pupper is lost" He said as he turned away. The girl looked ver sympathetic, and put a hand ontop of his. "I am so sorry, I know how hard it is to lose a pet. It is one the worst feelings in the world" She says, as matias's face went bright red, but tried to hide it. He nodded. "Yea, i just hope i find her, she is my very best friend" He let a lie slip though his mouth. And the girl smiled. "Well, how about after this. I Help you try and find Your Pup" She asked. Matias's face went even more red. He would get to spend even more time with this girl, and get to know her. He'd love that! He just felt bad he was lying to her. However, before he could respond to her He saw Child Harumi, and Garmadon walking down the street, and his expression turned sad. He would miss the opportunity to spend time with her, because he had to go and follow Garmadon and child Harumi. With sadness in his voice, he sadly shook his head. "I would love that, but I told my Mom I would visit her today" he started to explain, as the girl Looked sad but It looked like she also understood. "Oh, Okay" she said softly. Matias started to stand up, and head out of the restaurant. But as he was about to go though the door, someone grabbed his hand. He turned around and saw the girl, who had a soft smile on her face. "Here" she says as she handed him a slip of paper. "We might not have time now, but I'd love to see you again, and Get to know you better" She says. Matias's face went into a bright smile, and he nodded. "I'd love that!" he says. As she nodded, and waved him goodbye as he was soon was out of the store, and into the streets.

Hello, everyone i hoped you enjoyed that chapter. I enjoyed writing it, i know we are in Nov and Halloween has ended but we didn't have any ideas for thanksgiving so. We came up with the halloween special. I know this wasn't very halloween themed, But Matias deserves to be happy for once!
