Hiiiii! :D So I thought I'd celebrate the fact that I just wrote three chapters of this story in less than a day. Enjoy!

Chapter Fifteen
"Look at that skyline," Marcel smiled. "That there, that's progress. More hotels, more tourists, more fresh blood. And the humans? I taught them to look the other way."
I sighed, sitting on the iron railing and looking out at the skyline along with the boys. This city was truly beautiful. And not the normal kind. The sinful kind. The kind that vampire-obsessed teenagers and people with strong imaginations dream of. Perhaps that's why I loved this city so much.
"And what of the witches?" Klaus asked, glancing over at me. "In my time, they were a force to be reckoned with and now they live in fear. How do you know when they're using magic?"
"Maybe I've got a secret weapon. An ace up my sleeve. Something that gives me complete control over all the magic in this town."
"Hmm. Is that a fact?"
"Might be. Or maybe I'm just bluffing." Marcel reached into his pocket, pulling out a piece of vervain and pressing it on his tongue before swallowing it. The plant made a sizzling sound, and I sighed. He hadn't quite built up a complete immunity yet.
"You take vervain," Klaus stated.
"Burns like a bitch," Marcel sighed. "But I figure I should limit the number of things I'm vulnerable to," Klaus nodded in reply. "And don't be mad about that chaperone thing. I told my guys to look out for you, that's all. That's what we do here, look out for each other."
Klaus nodded again, and they both looked out into the skyline again before someone caught my attention. Camille, the bartender from Rousseau's. The girl that Marcel seems to have a little crush on.
It appears that he didn't want Klaus to know that, though, seeing how he acted as if he didn't know her at all.
"Mmm, new blood."
"A bartender," Klaus stated. "Walking alone at night. She's either Brave or dumb."
"Let's see," Marcel smirked. "Brave, I let her live, dumb, she's dessert," He grinned, then hopped off the railing and landed behind her.
Klaus and I stayed in silence before he suddenly turned to look at me. "Come on."
"What?"
"You know you want to," He smirked, stretching his arms out.
I smiled brightly, and was in his arms within seconds. "God, I missed you!"
He laughed, hugging me tightly. "Just me? I'm flattered."
I smiled. "I mean, of course I missed Bekah... And Elijah, a little. But you're my special little guy."
He rolled his eyes. "I'm far from little if I'm older than you, Jo," his smile suddenly vanished. He looked behind me, sighing a little. "Evening, Elijah."
Oh, god. Kill me now.
I turned to face him, and saw an unreadable expression form on Elijah's face before he looked back at Klaus. "Niklaus, Rose."
"What an entirely unwelcome surprise," Klaus muttered.
"And what an entirely unsurprising welcome," Elijah said. "Come with me," he ordered, turning to leave when Klaus refused.
"I'm not going anywhere, not until I find who's conspiring against me."
"I believe I just found that out for you," Elijah stated.
Uh-oh.
*
Klaus and I followed quietly behind Elijah, but I could see that Klaus' patience was wearing thin.
I felt bad for leaving Diego behind after what Klaus had done, but I needed to help my family. Klaus was the closest thing I had to a brother, and he was in trouble. So, like always, I felt that it was up to me to get him out of it.
I understood why Diego didn't like Klaus, any normal person would have gotten a bad vibe off of him and ran the other way the second they laid eyes on him.
Good thing we're not normal people.
"Does this have something to do with the witches?" I asked, directing the question more so at Klaus, though that didn't stop Elijah from answering himself.
"It does," he stated. "And it's about to change the course of this family."
I rolled my eyes. Sure, NOW he cares about family.
We reached a large cemetery, and Elijah walked in while Klaus followed behind him, seeming even more annoyed than before. "What are we doing here?"
"You wanna know what the witches have in store for you?" Elijah asked. "Follow me."
In short, he was telling Klaus to just shut up and go with him.
We reached a tomb a few moments later. It was a rather large one at that. Elijah pushed open the gate, holding it open for Klaus and I. He stared me in the eyes as he did, but I quickly looked the other way. I heard him sigh, but didn't care.
"Sophie Devereaux," Klaus stated, staring silently at the girl standing on the other side of the tomb. "What is this?"
"He's all yours," Elijah said, standing back behind Klaus and I. "Proceed."
"You know, you're famous in this town. Both of you. Witches tell bedtime stories about the powerful vampire Klaus and his best friend, the only Hybrid in the world."
I smirked, elbowing Klaus in the shoulder as he smirked. "Surprise, surprise," I laughed.
"We know Marcel was nothing but an orphaned street rat, until you made him who he is," She narrowed her eyes at me specifically, most likely recalling the events of the past few months. "And now he's out of control. He does what he wants, kills who he wants. I'm gonna stop him. And you're gonna help me."
"Yeah, right!" I shouted, the anger returning. "We control your people because you left us no choice."
Sophie was about to retaliate, when Klaus spoke again. "This is why you brought me here?"
"Hear her out," Elijah said.
"I don't need to hear her out," Klaus said. "I assure you love, there is not a thing on this earth that will matter enough for me to waste even thirty more seconds of my time," That earned him a swat on the back of the head from me. "Aside from you, love," He smiled, then looked back at his brother. "Elijah, what madness is this?"
"Klaus," I heard a voice. Hayley? The werewolf? She had a thing with Klaus, I think... "You need to listen to them."
I was about to look back at Klaus and say that they were lying, when I stopped. I heard it. A heart pumping. Too small to be one of ours, and too slow to be a child's heart. Was she... No. It couldn't be. It's not possible.
Unless... Activating Klaus' werewolf side made him exempt to the no pro-creating rule. Just like I was.
I was thinking too hard to say a word, but when I looked at Elijah, he nodded. He knew. This was what Sophie was talking about. The reason why Klaus would help her.
Klaus laughed. "You're all out of your minds! If you think a liquor-fueled one night stand-no offense sweetheart-means a thing to me!"
Hayley looked down, seeming slightly saddened by Klaus' words. She's probably upset that the father of her child was acting this way towards her. I would be. And because I was sympathetic towards her, I yet again hit him on the back of the head. "Be nice!" I growled.
He sighed in frustration towards me, then looked to Sophie.
"Marcel may be able to keep us from practicing real magic in this town, but as keepers of the balance, we still know when nature has cooked up something new," she said. "For example, I have a special gift," she paused. "Of sensing when a girl is pregnant."
Klaus was stunned. "What?" he whispered. He seemed a little angry.
"I know it's impossible..." Hayley said, seeming scared of his reaction.
"What are you saying?" Klaus whispered.
"Nikalus..." Klaus looked to his brother. "The girl is pregnant with your child."
'What else could go wrong' I said. 'It's all gonna be fine' I said.
HAH.
