Earlier That Day...

Doflamingo's Pov

"This book is useless. It should not be in the library, to begin with" The thought of throwing the book across the room was there but I only ended up placing it in my desk drawer until I decided what to do with it. It belonged to her and while all traces of her should have been erased I tried not to think about it. There were more important things to take care of at the moment. Elizabeth would be visiting again tonight and while I could not pinpoint what illness I was suffering from I needed to push it aside for the night. Speaking of her I still had to prepare for the party.

"She requested a cake last night. I wonder which flavor she is fond of more" Elizabeth was not seen often eating sweets although her parents were not filling the cabinets with them either. Poor thing was being shorted of having a life worth living. It was a shame and as I thought it over, I decided making a strawberry cream cake would be perfect. They had supplied enough fruit for the task just this morning. I had not asked them to do so and they should have known I refused to eat fruit but for this task, I was glad they had been sent.

Walking towards the kitchen I decided to pause in order to check on my little doll and see what trouble she had been up to. Since I was not currently in my room I tapped against a nearby mirror before it began to ripple. "Just what are you up to my little doll?" It took a second or two but as the glass became clear little Elizabeth could be made out. She had been sitting on the forest floor crying although I did not believe she had noticed them as there was no attempt made to wipe them away.

"Who upset her?" I knew from the few interactions that she was a sensitive one but I did not like these tears of her. They were ruining her pretty face although it could not be helped now. I watched for a couple more minutes before I realized little Elizabeth was going to sit there all day if something did not occur to snap her back to reality. "I have just the thing. Fufufu" There was still time in the day to prepare her cake so as I walked forward, I eventually found myself standing in front of the door to my sewing room.

It had been locked during Elizabeth's visit although I unlocked it before stepping inside. The room was in need of a cleaning but I ignored it as I pushed open the window on the far wall. Elizabeth needed to make her way home so as I thought of a plan, I set my sights on a pile of feathers. They would work. "Time to go back home sweet little doll" Grabbing a handful of feathers I tossed them into the open space before attaching my stings to them in order to guide them to where they were required.

"My life is terrible!" She was not in the right state of mind however instead of her words causing me pleasure they did the opposite. It was an odd feeling. I had never felt something quite like it although as I tried to push these feelings away, I noticed my free hand was balled into a fist. My stings were still making their way towards where Elizabeth sat but my mind was questioning why my hand had formed a fist. I had stopped the action once I had noticed it although it was still odd. Maybe I was sick. I would need to look into it further at a later date.

"Now, where are you, Elizabeth?... Ah, there you are" As I let the first feather slowly float towards her, I allowed it to settle in front of her. When her head tilted up, I watched her pick it up and start looking it over. It twirled between her fingers but when she noticed the others falling her tiny form stood up from its spot. "There we go my little one. Go home where you are safe" I could have left her after knowing she was returning to the house but decided against it. I made myself a comfortable spot on the edge of the window all while keeping an eye on her.

In time she did return to the house and I slowly stood up but before I shut the window, I heard her say something. It was faint although I still managed to pick up on it. "I'll see you tonight, Doffy" Those words were repeated a few times in my head before they caused my grin to widen. She was right where I needed her. "Fufufu. This game should be fun. Fufufu. Tonight, will truly be special no matter what"

Later That Day...

Elizabeth's Pov

"This door is beginning to tick me off. I don't see why the tunnel is only open at night... wait no it was opened this morning" All my thoughts were focused on this bricked-up wall although I felt like I was about to lose it. I had my feet trying to push it out of the way but it was useless and only tiring me out. "Why are you in my way? Move stupid bricks" My parents were in the next room so I was keeping my voice low however it wasn't going to stay that way for long. "I'll show you who the boss is here"

Destroying the house wasn't the original plan but as I made my way over to the entrance of the basement, I started to dig through the box of tools my father had left there. He was supposed to take it down although I figured he got sidetracked. Oh well, that wasn't my problem. I was just glad I didn't need to venture down there. As I stared into the box, I thought over my options and settled on a good ol' hammer. If there was anything that brick then I was going to find out. Carrying my weapon of destruction back to the living room I returned to my spot on the floor before I glad the hammer one last look.

"You better not let me down" Holding the hammer to the brick I made a few mock swings until I was satisfied my hammer would hit it directly in the center. "Here goes nothing" Taking a deep breath I lined up the hammer before I put all the strength into the swing. Now, I had expected to hear a loud crack or bang although neither of those things happened. "Are those... strings?" I watched in amazement as the brick was moving to the sides revealing the tunnel but just as quickly it had begun to stitch itself back together.

"It's not brick at all... Ouch! What the fuck?" My finger had only brushed against the strings although as I felt a sudden pain, I fought to keep my voice down to keep my parents from coming into the living room. Looking at the finger I noticed a small bead of blood was pooling to the surface although I didn't understand it. "What the heck cut me?" I had only touched the strings and in my mind, I refused to believe they would have been that sharp. Turning my sights on the little door I took in how the brick was back in place.

"Elizabeth! Supper will be ready in half an hour! Go wash up!" She was bound to come in here if I didn't move so I closed the door and moved the couch back in place. The hammer was put back in the box before I took myself up the staircase. I could have just washed my hands although after the day I had I wanted a nice hot shower to wash off all the filth. "Mother!? Did they fix the water!?" On the first day, we moved in the water in the house was shit brown but I thought the plumber had come over to look at it the other day. "Yes! Just don't stay in there for too long! I pay for the water in this apartment!"

"Okay!" I'd be using as much water as I wanted but she didn't need to know that. Making my way into my bedroom I picked out a nice pair of pajamas and set them on the bed for later. There wasn't much time before supper so I hurried into the bathroom to have a nice relaxing shower. Turning on the water I made sure it was clear. "Perfect" Since it still needed time to warm up, I stripped off my clothes and placed them in the clothes basket. I felt a chill run down my spine as I waited but I didn't think much about it as the bathroom was quite cold.

Once the water had gotten to my liking I stepped in although the strange feeling I got wasn't going away. It was as if I was cold but that shouldn't have been since I was under the hot water of the shower. I let myself think over it however when the strange feeling refused to leave, I turned off the taps. "Why the hell does it feel like someone is watching me?" My eyes scanned the bathroom but no one was there. Hell, there wasn't even a closet or window here so it was strange.

My shower had been ruined so I returned to my bedroom and changed into my pajamas. "Elizabeth, are you ready for supper!? Hurry up it's on the stove! Your father and I are going out for the night!" I hadn't expected them to just leave so suddenly and before I could even react, I heard the front door slam shut. That was lovely, I'd be stuck here for the night while they did whatever weird thing, they were going out to do. "They better have left me something good to eat"

Making my way into the kitchen I peeked into the pan left on the stove although immediately felt like throwing up at the sight of it. "What even is this?" I hadn't eaten much all day however there was no way I could stomach this. Looking in the fridge there wasn't anything either so I decided to take a breath and think over my options. It had taken a minute but I slowly turned towards the living room as an idea came into my head. "Doffy makes good food... I wonder if the passage will be opened?" I'd never know unless I tried and besides if it wasn't then I could always take a hammer to it.

With the key in hand, I moved the couch once again and bent down to unlock the little door. Once the door was pulled towards me, I smiled when I saw the brick was gone. I was about to start my journey through when a smell caused me to stop. "Hmmm~ Something smell good. I wonder what he's cooking?" The smell alone was causing me to drool and my stomach was already growling as I made my way through the tunnel. "What does this tunnel feel smaller?" It was more difficult to move this time around but still, after a couple of minutes, I found myself on the other side.

However, as I looked around, I didn't see Doflamingo. "Doffy? Where are you!?" I may have yelled a little louder than necessary but as someone spoke up behind me, I nearly jumped out of my skin. "I know my eyesight is bad although how is it yours appears to be worse than mine? Fufufu. Welcome back Elizabeth" Spinning on my heels I noticed Doflamingo had been sitting on a chair in the corner of the room. I was surprised I didn't see him earlier but the room had been dimly lit so I would blame it on that.

"Hi, Doffy. I missed you"
