Luke's POV
We had all heard her screaming and crying then the silence. Brandon wasn't answering our texts so I was elected to sneak into the room. I silently picked the lock and slowly opened the door. Pixie was sound asleep on Brandon's chest. She was hugging Gabe's stuffed wolf tightly. It looked like he'd taken our advice about the sponge bath and more. The sheets had been freshly changed and the hamper was full. I snapped a quick photo then, quietly picked up the hamper and headed towards the door.
"Milseán?"
One word and my heart was racing. I swallowed hard and turned to look at her. "Hey Pixie. I was just grabbing the laundry, I didn't mean to wake you."
"For someone who's claimed by the God of Mischief and Lies, you really suck at lying," she said with a slight grin.
"How did you know about that?" I asked. She pointed at my arm. "Oh yeah, those," I said sheepishly. "He claimed Marc too."
She smiled again. "I think that's a good fit for both of you, milseán." I stood like an idiot just holding the laundry hamper, afraid to leave that room and never see her smile again.
"Pixie," I asked, my voice cracking, "do you still love me?" Her eyes filled with tears. Fuck, I'm such an idiot. I made her cry. "I'm sorry, I'll go." I reached the doorway when I heard her.
"Yes."
I turned around and smiled at her. "I love you too, Pixie. Nothing in this world or any other will ever change that." She nodded and laid back down. It was a start.
I closed the door behind me and went to update the guys.
