star waited in the family waiting room, waiting for her parents to arrive while she waited for lennon to get out of surgery.
she had called her mom a thousand times to make sure they were driving over safely and were okay too, she just really couldn't deal with loosing them either.
lennons fiancé was still in florida, and star had called to let him know since he was flying to visit lennon and her family in less then 2 days, yet he did everything he could to get on the soonest possible flight.
"star? baby? how are you feeling?" she heard her moms voice, making her pounce up and hug her and her father.
"mom i feel like it's my fault. what if i was the reason she crashed? she was on the phone to me, what if i distracted her and that's why she crashed?" she asked
"baby, no, shush it's not your fault at all. we had a call from the police, they told us her car wasn't at fault. it was the other driver." her father said
"where's rudy? i thought you were with him tonight? at a party or something?" her mon asked
"i was leaving that's why lennon was coming to get me. hun and i got into an argument so i just didn't wanna be there" she said
"does he know what happened? is he gonna come see you?" her mom asked
"no. i doubt it. i don't wanna see him right now anyway" she groaned as she felt her eyes start to grin up and water again.
"carter family? for lennon?" a doctor walked in.
"yes, that's us?" the three shot up from their seats.
"hi, im doctor anthony. lennon is currently stable, she has fractured ribs causing a puncture in her lungs. we've fixed everything, including checking on her baby in surgery and she's currently resting up and awake. you can come see her if you're wanting?" the female spoke.
"what? did you say baby?" stars mom said
"can you um. take us to her? right now?" star said impatiently. she saw by the doctors face that she realised she wasn't meant to alert the family about that just yet, staying quiet as she led them to lennons recovery room.
"mom? dad? star i'm so sorry" lennon apologised
"are you serious? why are you sorry?" star almost yelled
"i-i crashed moms car. of course i'm sorry" lennon said looking at her.
"no baby, it's not your fault. don't worry about it okay?" her mom said
"i uh, also have soemthing to tell you. i didn't exactly know till now either" she said
"you're pregnant?"
"i'm pregnant"
both lennon and their mom spoke at the same time
"i'm sorry you had to find out this way. i wanted it to be a big surprise when it did happen, but now i guess it's a known thing" lennon almost laughed
"did the doctors tell you how far along you are?" star said
"i'm about 19 weeks. even they were shocked, because i'm not showing as i should be" lennon smiled
"austin. can i call austin?" she said, coming to realisation that she needed to let him know.
"probably not. he's currently on a plane over here." star said
"what? he's coming in 2 days. oh fosh, he's gonna freak when he finds out i'm pregnant! i can't wait to tell him" she smiled
"i can't wait to be an aunt!! this is the worst and best day i've had in so long" star laughed.
"oh don't you worry. me too"
suddenly stars phone started to ring, making her confused. she looked down to see it was rudy, pressing ignore. then it rang again. ignore. and again.
"fuck sakes. i'll be right back" she sighed, walking to the hall.
"what rudy." was all she had to say
"hey baby, can i come see you? i really need to apologise. i'm sorry for everything i love you okay, i didn't mean to hurt you" he said.
star could tell by his croaky voice he was either crying or had just woke up.
"i'm kinda busy rudy. my sisters in hospital so it's not a good time." she said
"is she doing okay? i'm sorry i could t take you to find her. or he'll take you home in the first place" he sighed
"you were the reason i was leaving, asshole! sorry if you forgot about your wee moments with your wee fuckbuddy ollie, but i sure didn't." she whisper yelled into the phone.
"i told you olivia was just a friend. what makes you think any of that"
"stop lying to me rudy! i'm sick of this shit." she said
"i love you star! i don't want you to be angry at me anymore" he said
"bullshit." she hung up.
"hey is everything okay?" her mom asked, walking out of lennons room c
"yeah. yeah not problem here. you just found out you're gonna be a grandma! get back in there!" she said, smiling through the tears that were about to burst out.
"hey, no what's going on?" amelia, her mom, asked
"it's nothing crazy, rudy and i just got in a fight like i said earlier." star said
"what was it about?" she says her down
"mom, seriously, it's not like we're in high school anymore, it's nothing major i'm sure we'll get over it" she sighed, trying to smile to make herself feel better slightly.
"it doesn't matter. no matter how old you get, im always gonna ask about your boy problems. whether if it's dating, married or a wee fling" she laughed
"i know mom. i love it and i hate it" star almost laughed as she hugged her mom.
"he was just being an asshole. he was invited to this party by his ex, olivia, invited me along and left me with some friends all night while he hung out with her. he kept lying over and over and when he brought her over to introduce josh, abby and i to her he introduced me as a friend." was what she makes to spill out before her voice started breaking.
"oh that little shit!" she said
"he keeps texting and calling me because when i got abby to drive me to where she crashed he heard me say she was in an accident" she said
"so now he's guilty. pffft. whatever" her mom said
"i don't wanna speak to him. and we're planning to fly out to LA in less then a week to live together. so i don't know what i'm gonna do till then." she said.

star pushed back her flight to LA about a week, and stayed home with austin, lennon and her parents while she got better. lennon still needed a few more weeks to heal until she could fly back to florida, and austin was staying with her the whole time.
star hadn't spoken to rudy that whole almost 2 weeks, and she wasn't feeling bad about it at all. he had his many attempts at apologising, and she hadn't given in at all. yet. she knew she was going to eventually but she just didn't know when. she also knew he had gone back to LA on the flight they meant to take together, thanks to madelyn telling her that chase picked him up. madelyn also knew everything that had happened, and she was almost jsut as pissed as star.
today finally came the day where star was flying out, and she didn't want to leave her sisters side.
"i love you so much. call me when you land, okay?" lennon said, kissing her sisters head.
"i love you so much. i hope you and bubs and austin get home safe, and i'll call you everyday. i hope you know i'm moving in with you when you give birth" she said
lennon laughed at her little sister, so did austin.
"i'm not kidding. i'm not ready to have my own kids so i'll be the cool aunty" she smiled
"oh that sounds scary" lennon said
"okay hurry up and leave would you! you're gonna miss your flight!" lennon rushed her
"okay okay!! i love you! i'll see you in a few months!" she said as her mom pushed her out the door, driving her to the airport in star dads truck.
