Supergirl and Iris walked after Alex into the conference room of the facility, seeing that the woman was so angry, a reason the two best friends didn't know why. "Alex? Why are you fighting me so hard on this?" Supergirl asked and Alex looked back at the two.
"You realize that Purity is just toying with you, right?" Alex asked.
"If we have the chance to save Julia, we have to take it," Supergirl said.
"That is such a nice motto, Kara, but it's not very practical," Alex said.
"Excuse me?" Supergirl asked.
"No matter how much evidence piles up saying that you are wrong, you always hope," Alex said.
"That's my job," Supergirl said.
"Purity is evil. She is a Worldkiller. And there's two others out there just like her, endangering lives, and your feelings are costing us time," Alex told her.
"Okay, my feelings have saved lives countless times," Supergirl said but all Alex was smile annoyed before she tried to walk away. "Alex...wait. Listen to me," and Alex looked back at them. "I am used to you being pragmatic, but since when have you become so hard and cynical?"
"Well, not all of us are bulletproof, Kara," Alex sternly said.
"I know," Supergirl said.
"So, cynicism, that's what's keeping the rest of us alive," Alex said.
"It seems like it's killing you," Iris spoke up. "The Alex I know, Kara's sister, my friend, she has compassion for others."
"I am just trying to do my job. Now, we've tried it your way, we did. But now we're gonna do it mine," Alex said before she walked off.
The Legion's Ship
Wearing different clothes, out from his uniform from the morning, Mon-El was in the bridge of the ship with J'onn and Winn. He had the battery connected to the power source, trying to connect it the right way. "Okay, try it now," Winn said and Mon tried to power it up. But right as it powered up, it powered down. "Um, you know, is there like a user manual or something that we can take a look at for ideas?"
"Sprock!" Mon muttered to himself right as Imra walked in.
"I gather it's not going too well," she said.
"Uh, not at presently, but we will get there," J'onn said as Imra walked up to Mon.
"Brainy and I took a look into that Thysteria rock, but it was a dead end. Did you get the battery working?" Imra asked.
"No, but I'm handling it," Mon said.
"Okay. Did you try recalibration it?" Imra asked.
"Yes, Imra," Mon sighed. "I'm handling it."
"Okay, look, I may not be a twelfth-level intellect, Mon-El, but I'm sharp. And as I said last night," Imra began, causing Mon to look up at her. "There's no need of telling me anything twice. Ever."
She then began to walk off, while Mon looked at his friends embarrassed, not wanting them to know something was wrong between him and his wife. Seeing as how it was their business. "Imra, please don't do this," he said, looking back at her, who turned back to him.
"I'm just doing exactly what you told me when I joined the Legion. I'm just speaking the truth," she said before she walked out and Mon sighed.
He stood up while Winn looked at J'onn awkwardly. "Uh, I'm...I've got to check on the crystal," Winn said.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'll be right there," J'onn said as Winn walked out. He then looked at Mon who unplugged the battery from the power source. "You still wanna carry on working?"
"There's no point," Mon said as he shoved the battery in J'onn's arms and walked off.
The DEO
Back in the cell room, Alex approached Purity, who was laying back on the bench while Supergirl and Iris stayed back and watched. "Where is Reign?" Alex asked but got no response. "We have the Kryptonian crystal from your apartment, and we know it's gonna lead to your headquarters. Where is Reign?" But still no response. "You're not so chatty now, are you? That makes sense. Because I'm not your audience. I'm just looking at a bug under glass."
And Iris felt uncomfortable with the comments, not understanding how Supergirl wasn't.
Suddenly, Purity chuckled, sitting up on the bench, looking right at Alex. "To use your own words, you think you're smarter than me, stronger than me. You think I'm powerless to your science," Purity said before she scoffed.
"I see right through you, Alex Danvers. It's a gift I have, to see inside people...to know them," she then stood up from the bench, and looked at Alex dead in the eye. "You want to hurt me because you're hurt. You want me weak, because you're weak. Someone cut something out of you, and you feel the hole every day. A hole that you dug in yourself. And it's not getting any better now, is it?"
"Okay," Supergirl muttered before she and Iris walked up next to Alex, to get her out of the room. "All right, all right. We're done here."
"Where is Reign?" Alex sternly asked.
"Alex," Iris muttered.
"See the rage. That's your loneliness," Purity said.
"Shut your mouth!" Alex yelled.
"Let's go," Iris said, trying to pull Alex away from the cell.
"You had your chance at happiness, and you threw it away," Purity said but Alex just stormed out of the room.
"Alex!"
"And now you're just a broken little doll."
"Alex, wait!"
Purity chuckled to herself before she sat back down on the bench while Iris and Supergirl looked at each other. "I'll go," Iris said before she ran after Alex and Supergirl looked back at Purity.
"She was right about you," she said, storming up to the glass. "You're just a thing built to destroy. And I'm gonna make sure you don't hurt anyone else."

Meanwhile, Winn walked into the lab to check on the crystal. "Okay," he muttered but frowned when he saw nothing had changed. "Really, nothing? Come on-" He suddenly looked over in the med bay to see Iris and Alex.
Alex was clearly having some kind of panic attack and Iris was trying to help her calm down. But when Alex yelled at her to back off and ran out, Winn walked into the med bay. "Hey," and Iris looked back at him, seeing she just seemed so stressed. "What happened?"
"Something with Purity, and just," Iris started but took a deep breath, as if trying to calm herself down as well. "I keep trying to help everyone, and be hopeful, but it's just so...consuming-"
"Hey, it's okay," Winn said before he engulfed her in a hug, and she stuffed her face in his shoulder while he rubbed her back comforting.
"I'm just so tired," she whispered, and he knew she meant emotionally tired and not physically.
Suddenly, the broke their hug when their attention was drawn somewhere else. Towards the lab with the crystal. It was glowing. The two walked in together, examining it confused. "Now, who turned you on?" Winn asked.

Back in the cell room, Supergirl continued to glare Purity down while she chuckled. Until she began to speak Kryptonian.
"The three will walk across the land and the blood of the weak will water the new world."
"Rao defies you. I defy you and I will bring you low."
Out of nowhere, the system powered down, which caused Purity to smirk and Supergirl to stare around her confused. But once she looked back at Purity, it was too late. She screamed out, causing the sonic blast to escape her mouth, shattering through her glass cell, blasting right at Supergirl.
The hero was sent back across the room, where she was slammed into a wall and dropped to the ground, unconscious, unable to stop Purity from escaping.

As soon as she got out, Purity caused havoc. She blasted DEO agents, she destroyed windows, all with a smirk on her lips.
She eventually found herself up the stairs, in the room where the crystal was, and where Iris and Winn were, trying to stay still while the entire facility shook. They stared at Purity straight in the eye, but her agenda wasn't on them. It was the crystal.
Once she took it from the pedestal it was on, it shocked a blast that hit Iris and Winn, sending them to the ground. They breathed heavily, Winn making sure Iris was okay, while Purity walked off.
DEO agents tried to stop her, but couldn't. And soon enough, she flew out of the facility, with the crystal. Iris shaking got up from the ground, glass falling out of her hair, her head pounding from the attack, but then something occurred to her. If Purity got out, then that means...
"Kara," Iris muttered before she ran out of the lab.
She ran through the facility, until she got to the cell Purity was in. She opened it to find an unconscious Supergirl surrounded by glass. "Kara!" She ran over to her, pulling her in her arms, shaking her like a dead person before Supergirl finally gasped awake.
"I-" she muttered, looking around her, realizing what happened. "I'm here, I'm okay," and she held onto Iris's hand.
The Legion's Ship
Meanwhile, Mon-El was on the bridge of the ship, looking at some things on the controls, when he saw J'onn walked back in. "I thought you left," he said.
"I did, but, uh, only to get these," J'onn said before he showed Mon two alien alcoholic drinks. "Come on," and Mon walked up to him while J'onn sat down on the steps he stood. "It's sort of a Martian moonshine. It's kind of spicy. It has a consciousness-enhancing quality to it."
"This has a label," Mon said.
"Oh, yeah. They sell it in the alien bars. Doing quite well," J'onn said.
Mon chuckled before he sat down next to J'onn. "Cheers," he said before they both took a sip from their bottles.
"You know, I, um...it's been a couple of centuries, but I was once married. Seventy-seven years, in fact. So I'm quite familiar with the martial spat," J'onn told him.
"Yeah, it's, uh, it's not what you think," Mon said.
"It might help to talk about it," J'onn said.
"Yeah, thanks, but, um, I don't think so," Mon said and J'onn smiled.
"You keep a lot of secrets young man. Usually, they're to protect others, so your intentions are good, but it really might help if you share the load," J'onn said and Mon sighed.
"Well, Imra and I have a complicated history," Mon told him.
"Hmm."
"We didn't exactly choose to get married to one another," Mon continued. "So she's from this important family on Titan. And Titan was the head of this faction of planets that were very against Earth and it's allies. So, in the early days of the Legion, we needed to do something symbolic. You know, to show what we represented everyone."
"You united the planets when you got married?" J'onn asked.
"There it is," Mon said with an awkward smile.
"Wow," J'onn muttered.
"And I was still mourning Iris," Mon continued. "Imra and I were friends and partners, and I was fond of her. I respected her. But I knew that marrying Imra would help so many. It just seemed like the logical thing to do. And then, with time, I mean, I...our pretend marriage became more real and our feelings deepened, and I grew to love her. I was content. But with Iris, I mean," he then chuckled while J'onn smiled at him. "There was nothing logical about falling in love with Iris. I mean, she was...she was a Earth perfectionist, her best friend a Kryptonian elitist who hated me, and I was this completely self-absorbed misogynistic. Not anymore," they then both laughed. "But what I felt for Iris, it was...it was just — like a fairytale. But being back here is, um...I've had to keep a distance from Iris because, whenever I'm around her, these old feelings rush back. And then I have to hide it from Imra. But lately, there's just been all this friction between us cause of...I know it's my fault, and I just...I don't know what to do."
"You know, if you think keeping secrets from your wife is hard, you should try keeping secrets from a Martian," J'onn said and Mon scoffed a smile. "My wife and I would, uh...would bond and literally share our thoughts and feelings every night. Marriage is sharing, Mon-El. Everything. You are not a criminal because you have complicated feelings. If you truly love and honor Imra, maybe you should let her in."
Suddenly, J'onn's phone began to beep so he pulled it out. But his face completely changed and Mon noticed it. "What is it?" He asked.
"Purity," he answered, deep anger filling his tone.
The DEO
Supergirl walked towards the round table with Iris and Alex where Winn was. "You've found her?" Supergirl asked.
"Yes, indeed," Winn said as he began to walk around the table when J'onn and Mon-El walked in, both of them suited up. "Hey, perfect timing."
"Where is she?" Mon asked.
"She is in the subway, though there have been no reports of any attacks yet," Winn said, facing the screens.
"There will be soon, though," Supergirl said and Winn looked back at her.
"You guys should head out," Iris said.
"Same team as before, right?" Mon asked and Iris glanced over his way.
"Well, if, uh, if you can come, they could use you," Iris said but as he stared at her, she swore she saw a flicker of sparkles in his eyes. Like they used to be.
"Yeah. Absolutely," Mon said and she gave him a small smile before looking at Supergirl again.
"I'm not underestimating her again," she said.
"Ever," Alex added.
"Uh, speaking of...Presents," Winn said before he slid over a case of ear pieces. "I sent Cisco from STAR Labs some old sonic technology and he was able to revamped them to cut out the frequency that she hit you with before. Would've done it myself except he-"
"Gets it done way faster," Supergirl added, very aware how fast Cisco gets things done.
"Yeah, but will they work?" Mon asked and Winn looked at him. Scoffing.
"Wait, you really asked me that? Uh, it's like 95% sure," Winn told him.
"Good work, Agent Schott," J'onn said and Winn smiled.
"Anytime," he said. "Now, go do superheroic stuff."
"Let's go," Iris said but Mon stopped her.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm going to be on the sidelines. In Guardian's van. Like I always am," Iris said before she began to walk again, but was stopped when her phone started ringing. "Hold on."
Ruby Arias is calling...
The heroes, with their ear pieces in, walked on while Iris turned back towards the round table, answering the phone. "Ruby?" She asked when she answered the phone, but was immediately answered with a distraught and crying Ruby on the other end. "Hey, hey, Ruby. What's going on? Tell me where you are? Are you in trouble?"
But Ruby answered her no, that she was not in trouble. But in fact that she was alone. She was at the ice skating rink with her mom when suddenly she disappeared. Ruby was all alone at the rink. And she was scared.
"Okay, um," Iris looked back to see Supergirl and everyone else were about to leave. And she needed to go with them. "Ruby, I'm currently can't come get you. But I'm going to call Lena, okay? And she'll come get you immediately, okay? I promise. Oh, and Ruby? I'm proud of you for calling even though you're scared. Okay? Okay, bye." She then hung up the phone to find Winn's worried look. But she just took a pair of the ear pieces and walked off.
Subway Station
Riding on a subway, Purity had dark sunglasses on so no one could see her eyes, and she had a coat wrapped around her while she held her crystal close to her chest. But it was when Purity started to hear an alien language chanting in her head, over and over again that she got up from her seat, causing other passengers to eye her oddly.
"Yo, kiddo, you all right?"
She slowly took her glasses off, revealing her eyes, and she closed her eyes, a shivering feeling consuming her. It was like she knew She was coming.
Right on cue, Supergirl crashed through the roof of the subway, landing right behind Purity. Her expression wasn't as warm and welcoming like it was before. It was stern and serious. "Purity?" She asked.
"You've finally learned my name," Purity said before she turned back towards Supergirl.
She then began to send sonic blasts towards Supergirl, but it had no effect. Supergirl smiled before she showed Purity her ear pieces, letting the Worldkiller know she couldn't hurt her.
Once that realization dawned on Purity, Supergirl flew right at Purity, crashing them out of the subway. They landed far away from the subway, in an empty tunnel on the railroads. Purity slowly got to her feet while Supergirl smiled at her.
Just then, Mon-El and Alex surrounded Purity as well. She tried to send them sonic blasts as well, but it had no effect just like Supergirl.
She turned around to find the Martian Manhunter had phased through the wall, joining them all. He gestured to the cuffs in his hands, and from that, Purity screamed out, a sonic blast escaping but it still did nothing to them.
They all began to get closer and closer to her, and Purity didn't know what else to do. So she screamed into the ground, which cracked the railing. The ground opened up and they all fell through, landing in a subway station.
