(Spooky stuff ahead, in my opinion this is like a really scary creepypasta compared to some other ones, so if your sensitive to this stuff, yeah just a warning.)

Hey soo, a quick note, if you don't know what the backrooms is, it's basically this:
With that spooky monster in mind, it's a creepypasta where when you clip out of reality, you end up there. Yellow wallpaper and gross carpet.
Stuff about the backrooms will be bent and shaped to fit the story and you will not have a CLEAR romantic interest with either cookie, so chose which u want :D
Also I don't think I'll actually put the monster in here, but idk you will just have to see.

2nd Person
It was another normal day in the kingdom.
Birds were singing, flowers were blooming, and you just got a wish from the tree of wishes.
Gingerbrave just sent you, Espresso, and Latte on a big expedition. you had to go past controlled bounds outside of the kingdom to find something. A new resource or whatever..? You weren't really paying attention, and only followed Latte's instructions.
You all walked into the woods of the kingdom, making small talk with the three.
I wonder why Gingerbrave chose us group...?
You encountered a few monsters, nothing bad. Everything was fine
...until you got lost in the woods somehow.
1st person!
"But we haven't been here." Espresso said, clearly getting irritated.
"No, But we have! I've seen this rock before!" I argued.
"We didn't take any turns to reappear here! Its physically impossible!"
"But I remember this area!"
"Oh really? Prove it!"
"What do you want me to do? Slice open my head and search through my brain!?"
"That would be ideal, yes."
Espresso and I fought while Latte examined the area.
She looked over to us. "You two need to calm down!" She put her hand on her hip and glared at us. She took a step backward without looking, and suddenly...
she was gone.
The two of us froze in shock.
"Latte?" We both asked.
"UHMM LATTE??" I began to panic
"Wasnt she JUST there?" I asked espresso, pointing at the area where I last saw said cookie.
"Yeah. Obviously."
He walked over to the area where she stepped back and examined a rock.
"It seems this rock is...glitched..? Broken..? Incorrect..?" He pointed at it. He reached out to grab it, but then pulled back. He was just about to get up "I say we go get he-" I kicked him in the back, and I watched his character fall into the ground.
"ha lol." you stood there for a moment
"I see what's happening here. Best option would be to just leave." You attempted to walk away..
Will they ever get out?

..but felt slightly bad. "UGH!" You huffed. "Stupid feelings."
"God damn it." You cursed as you fell into the rock, arms crossed.
You felt a strange sensation like you just..noclipped out of reality?
The next thing you knew, you were laying on yellow moldy carpet. You looked around and saw Espresso also on the ground, and Latte looking around in fear.
You got up from the gross carpet, smelling the stain of an old hotel. Buzzing of the fluorescent slights remaiining the only thing you could hear besides Lattes distressed breathing.
"What the...Latte..where are we?" You asked
"I-I read something about this place...in one of the many books I have read in my life..I thought it was simply a horror story..."
She took a few deep breaths.
"This place reeks of digesting smells." Espresso complained.
"That's not the worst of our problems, Espresso." You argued
"Well I'm sorry I wanted to simply point something out"
You both started arguing.
"Does your neck hurt to look down on other cookies all the time!?"
"Well it doesn't change the fact I'm better than them."
"SHHHH" Latte said.
You both went silent as of lattes request, as strange whispering noises were heard from everywhere around you.
"I hear something. Like...distressed people whispering..?" Latte commented.
"yeah I hear it too."
Latte thought for a moment.
"I say we use a simple maze solving method. We use bits of something to mark where we've been and leave trails" Latte walked up to a nearby wall and touched the wall with her hand.
"Hey, Y/n" Latte looked at me. "Do you have that stick you put in your pocket?"
"Oh, yeah-" I held it out and she swiped it from me. She wrote on the wall with her nice handwriting in big letters START
"Now we know where we started. We go from here!" She said, smiling proudly at her accomplishment. She begun walking, and I trailed behind. I didn't even bother to look behind me to see if Espresso was following. I just assumed he was.
I heard no footsteps behind me, and I suddenly got worried.
"Ugh this place smells awful"
I panicked for nothing. he's still as ignorant and annoying as ever.
Latte continued using stuff to her advantage. We turned corners, walking to dark corners, but nothing happened. Latte made a line using the stick from the start. Somehow, her spoon was lost during the phasing between worlds.
"So Latte, what do you know about this place?" I asked.
"Well..Not much, as I thought it was a horror story or just some joke. I didn't think It would be real.."
"Well, look at where we are now." Espresso sighed.
"Hey, Espresso, I'm sorry but can you not be annoying for like 2 seconds? Thank you." I turned back to face him, and glared him daggers.
I turned back to Latte and she started explaining. We all walked together through the place, turning corners and inspecting areas.
"They called it...The Hallways? No..The..The..Oh Yeah! The Backrooms! Its a place you end up in when you noclip out of reality. I don't remember much of what I read, but there are multiple levels, and you could expect anything in here. We have to escape somehow or we are trapped"
She turned to me and did her signature move of putting her hand on her hip and smiling at me.
Suddenly, something happened that I could have never expected. I felt my expression widen.
"D-Do you know if anything is in here with us." I muttered.
"Wel..It said something like...'God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby.. 'cause is sure as hell has heard you.' S we have only to assume, yes. Why do you ask, dear?"
We didn't respond. I didn't say a word. I couldn't say a word. We both saw it, and just stared at the area behind Latte.
"Well, now you tell us.." But of course, Espresso could say something. His usual snarky comment.
Latte looked around in confusion. She saw nothing, But we knew what we saw.
"I saw..something.. move in that dark hallway..?" I muttered.
"Oh! Dear, Im sure its nothing." She smiled. "Cmon, we gotta find the next level or exit." She made a hand gesture to follow her. Both me and Espresso hesitated and looked at each other. He sighed in annoyance and started following her.
"Hey! Wait don't leave me!" I whined and sighed in defeat, following them. "ugh fine"
"There's a simple maze solving method we could use." Espresso said, pushing up his glasses.
"Well, now you tell us" I said mocking him from earlier. He scoffed and started explaining.
I couldn't listen. I couldn't focus. I tried to tune into the conversation, but i simply couldn't. I could hear faint words, but i couldnt make anything out. And so with that, I tuned into the sound of the fluorescent lights. It was loud. I couldn't get the noise out of my head. My vision started to blur. the noise begun to seriously hurt my ears. I covered my ears with my hands. It wouldn't stop. It felt like i was going insane. I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my face.
"Y/n! Get a hold of yourself!" I heard Espresso say. My ears rung as i tuned back into them. I shook my head back into reality. I accessed the situation. I put my hand to my cheek.
"Espresso! You slapped me!"
"Well you were going crazy like an idiot"
"Im going to literally punt you into the sun!" I said aggressively while pointing to my foot and making a kicking motion.
"You two! Can you just be kind to one another for just a second?!" Latte hissed. We all argued around.
"Well you always assume I'm dumb!" I pouted at Espresso.
"Thats because you are!"
"Espresso! Y/n!" Latte tried to defuse the situation.
"Im pointing out facts." he started, pushing up his glasses and sighing. We all paused and waited for him to finish what he began saying. "And that fact is...your a little bitch."
"Espresso! Be nice!"
"Why you little!" I went to go attack him, but froze mid action
*SCREEEEEEEEEEEECH*
"oh shit" i said quietly
We all paused, all of us still and saying no more. We all flipped our heads in the direction of the noise and then back at each other.
well that finally shuts him up.
"should we investigate?" I asked latte.
"Yeah, obviously"
"Hey, dimmwit i wasn't asking you."
"Pleaseeeeee you two. Try to get along. Lets go check it out."
We followed Latte as she tried to determine the source of the sound. The entire time, i was silently arguing with Espresso.
"you smell really bad when mixed with the moldy carpet smell," you whispered
"you always smell bad, with or without the carpet."
I looked at him with a shocked and offended face. I elbowed him in the gut and ran up next to latte, smiling at her innocently.
I turned around and saw Espresso holding the area where i punched him. I shot him an evil smile before starting up a conversation with Latte.
We eventually lost our direction and couldn't find the source of the noise.
I noticed the absence of snarky comments and looked behind me to see if Espresso was really there.
"hey, idiot? Did you finally shut u-" you froze.
he was gone.

writers block is KILLING ME. buttttttt i really enjoyed this one bc the backrooms is random and anything could happen in there! I can be creative! Wooo! maybe a part 2?
