"Y/N, babe, I love you but please get down!"
Marco watched with smug amusement as you stuck your tongue out at Ace atop the crows nest, the older male panicking and standing below you in case he needed to catch you. On his arm, Sabo giggled at his fathers struggles and encouraged his mother, earning a look of betrayal from the Portgas. Pops laughed and caught your attention by calling your name, the grin on your face matching his own.
"Come, lass, dont stress the boy too much."
You shrugged and jumped off the crows nest, inducing a yell from Ace as he tried to catch you but it didn't seem you needed it. Avoiding his awaiting arms, you flipped in the air and smoothly landed on the ground with your legs crouched. Never in a million years did Ace think he would be the responsible one taking care of the reckless one but here he was, with the woman who just so happened to be his wife.
"Pops!" Y/N strolled over to stand in front of him with a small grin, "Where are we going next?"
"We just left an island," Thatch sweatdropped as he offered you a glass of water and you gratefully thanked him. "how do you already want to go to another island?"
"I still have a lot to see," You replied, "now that I no longer have to bare the burden of Daimyo or princess, I can be as free as I want!"
"Gurarara! Just like your father!"
"Could you not worry me like that?" Arms circled around your waist and pulled you back into a chest as you turned your head slightly to the side to look at the freckled man. You smirked in response while giving a snarky remark that earned you a firm pinch in the side, almost leading to the two of you arguing lightly if not for the little boy that ran in between the two of you and pushed against your legs.
"No fighting, Mama! Papa!"
"Of course not," Crouching down and opening your arms the little boy eagerly jumped into your embrace. Ace scratched the back of his neck with a sigh and sent Pops a look which just told the old man all he needed to know, his son wanted advice on parenting and it was just hilarious. He nodded back at Ace with a 'figure it out' expression on his face before turning to stare at Marco by his side. At first, the blonde didn't notice Pops's gaze until Thatch elbowed him and gestured to the old man with a cautious look.
As soon as Marco witnessed the mans expression, his shoulders sagged and he sent his father an irritated look already knowing what was about to be said.
"How has Ace given me grandchildren before you?"
"Pops, I dont want kids, yoi."
"Atleast get a wife."
"No thanks, I already have everyone else here to take care of."
An arm looped around his shoulders and a certain brunette wiggled his eyebrows at his brother. "You just loooove us, dont you, Marco?"
He crossed his arms, "Dont rub it in my face, just because you're married."
"Come on!" Thatch laughed, "I bet we could find you a great lady-"
"No you wont," You said absentmindedly while throwing your son in the air as Ace watched carefully with a smile. Marcos eye twitched at your words and he was just about to question you further only for you to continue while directing a smug look at him. "because he's gay."
"What?" Pops blinked.
"Oh, crap, no way!" Thatch laughed, "It makes so much sense!"
Marco turned to him with a glare and sharpened teeth. "What do you mean it makes sense?!"
In response his brother looked away so he approached you instead with a frown. Really, since when was Marco gay if he didnt even know himself? Pops was still trying to process what his daughter had just told him, looking into memories to try and connect the dots but he just couldn't quite find anything. It didnt make sense.
"What are you talking about, y/n?"
You looked at Sabo with a look that expressed false surprise, "What do you think, Sabo?"
"Chicken."
"That's right, maybe he is only attracted to chickens?"
"Y/N, if you dont put Sabo down, I will kick your-"
"Only joking!" An angry phoenix is not something you'd like to deal with at the moment, mostly because you know he'd kick your butt and embarrass you in front of the entire family. You quickly changed your answer to something you truly suspected Marco of being. "My guess is you're Asexual, but yet again thats just a guess."
"Ah, that actually makes more sense." Ace nodded along with Thatch and Marco shot them an annoyed look. Meanwhile, Pops was now even more confused. What in the world did Asexual mean?
"Marco, what does that mean?"
The Phoenix sweatdropped, "Uh..."

"Auntie!" Sabo ran towards the white haired woman who freaked out and ran away from him. It was truly amusing to see an emperor run away from a little boy in fear of receiving his affection. Eventually after getting too lazy to run any longer she bolted towards Marco and hid behind him. The tall blonde quirked an eyebrow at her while Sabo halted in front of his uncle, smiling and waiting patiently for the man to move, and he did.
"You know what, Marco?" Atlantis asked, accepting her fate while glaring at the blonde. "You can suck my nonexistent-"
"Whoa, Atlantis!" Ace laughed as his son wrapped his arms around Atlantis's legs and giggled. While the boy was distracted he took it upon himself to whisper in her ear with a warning that had her paling. "Don't swear in front of my kid, or I'm telling Shanks about the things you say."
"You damn little-"
"What did I say?" Ace smirked and roughly clapped her back, "I'm sure he'd love to know about how smooth and beautiful his hair is."
"Sabo, your dad sucks, doesn't he?"
"Yeah, he does." Another voice joined in and Ace's face stretched into a grin. "That's why I kinda left, you know?"
"Uncle Sabo!" The younger Sabo yelled, quickly abandoning Atlantis much to her relief and somewhat offense. Clearly Sabo junior had a favorite and it wasnt her. The revolutionary crouched down and opened his arms for his nephew, a large smile on his face as soon as the boy wrapped his arms around his neck. Sabo junior giggled and squished the elders cheeks together, making different expressions form on his face with amusement. "Uncle Sabo, Big bro Ayomide is making me food!"
"Is he now?" He nodded along with the boys conversation and looked over to the red haired man who had his hand on his hip and his lips quirked up to the side. "Is he making some for me too?"
"Of course, anything for the two Sabos."
"Ayomide?!" Atlantis scoffed, "What about my coffee!"
"Make it yourself."
"I-"
"Tough luck," You patted the captains shoulder, laughing when the older woman sent you a look of anger and picked you up, throwing you over her shoulder and walking towards the ocean, jumping overboard together. Ayomide facepalmed while Thatch contemplated jumping after you, knowing you had eaten a devil-fruit hence the reason why you were able to jump back in time. The damn emperor was going to get you killed.
Fortunately, Atlantis seemed to remember giving you the devil fruit since she swam up along with you as you crossed your arms and glared at the woman.
"Hey," She snickered, "you're looking nice."
"Don't flirt with my wife!" Ace yelled while looking over the rails only inducing an eye roll from Atlantis as she yelled back.
"I just cant help it, Tokis genes are hot, Ace!"
"You cant be saying that!" A sudden voice sounded as you were thrown back into the water while Atlantis guffawed at the Red Force along with the red-haired man waving down at them with a pout. "You're married!"
"What the hell are you doing here?!" Atlantis lazily reached back down with her hand and picked you up by the scruff of your shirt, you arose coughing and panting for air with Ace panicking about your safety while his brother reassured him with a laugh and his son began to wail slightly in fear for his mother.
"I wanted to see you!"
"Having two emperors here is enough, but three?! Piss off, Shanks!"
"Is that anyway to talk to your husband?!"
"I'd like it if you wouldn't talk to me at all, right now!"
"I didn't even do anything!"
"Ace, help!" Suddenly, you felt like the third wheel and called for Aces help but he could only sweatdropp, so instead Marco transformed into a phoenix and swooped down to grab your shoulders with his claws. Atlantis ignored the scolding slap on the back of her head she received from the mother hen before glaring at Shanks who was openly laughing at her, holding his stomach and pointing at her.
She will gladly admit that she used the force to throw him overboard his own ship.
"Hah! Whos laughing now- Oh crap, thats a sea king!"
Meanwhile you were just trying to calm down your son with Pops's boisterous laughter in the background and Ace scolding Atlantis who was glaring at Shanks while Sabo sat next to Ayomide just watching the chaos unfold.
Perhaps bad stories can have good endings after all.
