Derek's body flies through the air before hitting a wall with a loud crack. His body hits the ground causing him to groan as a fully transformed Lena walks towards him and lifts his head up by his hair. "If you hurt my brothers again, I'll kill you. I swear I'll kill you all!" Lena growled out in such a cold tone that it reminded Derek of Peter. Lena lets go of Derek and walk away, passing Isaac's unconscious body. Boyd and Erica keep their distance out of fear and amazement at how easily Lena had thrown Derek around like a rag doll. Lena stops at the door of the warehouse and looks at Erica. Lena's eyes were filled with heartache and betrayal as the memory of the night before played through her mind. After the confrontation between Scott and Erica, Lena had left Beacon Hills High School with the blonde. It was an hour later when both teens had entered the warehouse that Derek had picked for his new home. Lena had Erica sit down and remove her coat so she could check her arms. Lena knew that they both had accelerated healing, but she couldn't help but worry for the blonde. Once Lena was sure Erica was ok she looked up at the blonde to speak, but soft lips met hers in a slow and passionate kiss. Lena pulls away from Erica in utter surprise, "E..Erica, we can't....I..," Lena couldn't help but stutter, still being surprised at Erica's actions. "Why not? Are you really going to wait for a girl who's too scared to let people know she likes girls?" Erica asked as she moved her arms around Lena's neck. "I'm not scared to let people know I like you. I would scream it out to the world," Erica whispered as she stroked Lena's cheek. Lena couldn't help but want that kind of love where her partner would proudly show off their love. As Erica's lips met hers again, Lena didn't pull away. Instead, she kissed the blonde back, pulling Erica's body closer to hers. Lena was so distracted by Erica's lips that she didn't notice that someone else was in the room until it was too late. Lena felt a sharp pain in her neck then her world went dark. It wasn't until Lena had woken up and finally answered her brother's calls that she found out what had happened, and it filled her with utter rage that Derek would dare to hurt her brothers and that Erica had been a part of it.
That night Lena went with Stiles to get his jeep fixed. Stiles could tell that his sister was very upset, but no matter what he tried, she wouldn't talk to him about it. Stiles knew something else must have happened with Derek's pack other than them knocking her out. Lena's phone rings like crazy, and she looks at it, seeing Erica's name on the screen, but she just puts it on silent. "I need some air," Lena said, then walked out of the repair shop. Stiles was about to follow her when he noticed the mechanic doing something to his jeep. Stiles jumps up and runs over to the mechanic, "Hey! Hey? Wh...what do you think you're doing? All I needed was a starter," Stiles explained. "Yeah, but it looks like your whole exhaust system has got to be replaced here," the mechanic explained as he continued to work on the jeep above him. "Why do I get the feeling you're slightly over....estimating the damage?" Stiles asked in annoyance. "It's probably gonna run you around like twelve hundred parts and labor," the mechanic estimated. "Are you kidding? This thing doesn't have a catalytic converter. And yes, I know what a catalytic converter is," Stiles explained. "Do you know what a limited-slip differential is?" the mechanic asked, finally looking at Stiles. Stiles thought for a second, "No...," Stiles said in a defeated tone. "Yeah, coming on more like fifteen hundred," the mechanic said, then went back to work. Stiles sighs, "Okay. Just finish. I'll be back here, seething with impotent rage!" Stiles said in aggravation as he walked away. Stiles goes to open the door to the waiting room when he feels something slimy on the handle, causing him to pull his hand away and look at it, "Oh. Nice. It's real sanitary. Quality establishment, you're running here," Stiles said in annoyance, then opened the door and headed into the waiting room.
Stiles sighs and wipes his hand off on his coat when he sees a photo of the mechanic on the wall. The mechanic was wearing a lacrosse uniform in the picture, "Figures," Stiles said, then walked over to the windows where he could see into the garage as he pulled his phone out. Stiles tries to text, but for some reason, he couldn't get his fingers to move. Stile's hands begin to shake, causing him to drop his phone as he grunts, trying again to move his fingers, but they wouldn't budge. Stiles looks into the garage when he notices the same lizard-like creature that attacked Allison was on his jeep. "No. Hey. Hey! Hey! Uh," Stiles yelled, trying to warn the mechanic. The creatures claws the back of the mechanic's neck and hisses as it jumps off the jeep. The mechanic falls to the ground, and Stiles turns to run into the room but ends up falling to the ground. Stiles does his best to pull himself along the floor towards his phone. The creature cuts a wire, and the machine holding the jeep up in the air slowly starts to descend onto the mechanic. Lena wiped the tears from her face as she stood outside the garage where Stiles couldn't see her. Lena didn't want her brother to see her crying, knowing he would worry about her. Lena's ears pick up what sounds like a cry for help coming from the garage. Lena runs into the building to find her brother on the ground. "Stiles!" Lena yelled as she ran to her brother's side when she noticed he was looking into the garage. Lena's eyes widen as she sees the jeep about to crush the mechanic. Lena runs into the room but is sent flying into a wall by the lizard. Lena groans as her body hit the hard concrete. The creature hovers over Lena and brings its claws down, aiming for her neck, but her hand flies out, catching the creature's wrist. The creature hisses as Lena's silver eyes meet his green ones. Lena bares her canines at the lizard then slams her foot into its chest, making it stumble backward. Lena tries again to run for the mechanic as Stiles closes his eyes, unable to watch. Lena's claws just barely scraped against the machines holding the jeep when the lizard's tail wrapped around her ankle and sent her flying right through the glass door of the waiting room.
Not long after the creature had disappeared, Lena and Stiles had ended up sitting on the back of an ambulance as their father stood in front of them. Lena leaned against her brother, completely done with the day. Stiles puts his arm around his sister, "I told you, I just....I walked in, and I saw the jeep on top of the guy and Lena unconscious on the floor, that's all," Stiles explained as his right hand shook. "What's wrong with your hand?" Noah asked. "Nothing. Can we just get out of here now?" Stiles asked. "Look, if there's something you both don't think you can tell me...," Noah said, but Stiles interrupted him. "You think we're lying?" Stiles asked in annoyance. "No, of course not. I'm just worried about you both. Now, if you and your sister saw someone do this if you're afraid that maybe they're gonna come back and make sure you both don't say anything about it...," Noah explained, but Stiles interrupted him again. "We didn't see anything. At all. Can we go now, please?" Stiles asked. "Sure. But not in your jeep. We're gonna have to impound it. Sorry kids, evidence. I'll see you at home," Noah explained as Stiles and Lena looked at him in disbelief. "All right, well, at least make sure they wash it," Stiles said with a sigh. An hour later, Lena stood in her bathroom leaning against the sink as flashes of the mechanic's face and his screams played through Lena's mind. Lena's hands shake as she turns the water on and splashes some on her face. Lena looks up into the bathroom mirror but sees Peter's face instead of her own. Lena's heart begins to race as she slowly reaches up, touching her face, and Peter does the same, completely in sync with her. Stiles was in the kitchen drinking some milk when he heard his sister's screams and the sound of glass breaking. Stiles drops his glass, causing it to shatter on the floor as he runs up the stairs and into his sister's room. Stiles found Lena slamming her bloody fist into her bathroom mirror over and over again. Stiles runs to his sister's side and pulls her out of the bathroom, neither siblings knowing that a certain strawberry blonde had done the same to her mirror.
The next day at Beacon Hills High School, Lena, Stiles, and Scott sit on some steps as students walk around the hallways. "I'm so sorry about the other day. I'm trying. We'll get through this. Uh, I know, because I love you. I love you more than....oh, my God. I can't....You and Allison just have to find a better way to communicate," Stiles said as Lena laughed. "Come on, you're the only one that we can trust, and Lena refused when I asked her. Is she coming to the game tonight?" Scott asked. "Yes! Okay, message complete. Now, tell us about your boss," Stiles said. "He thinks that Allison's family keeps some kind of, uh, records of all the things that they've hunted. Like a book," Scott whispered. "He probably means a bestiary," Stiles explained. "What?" Scott asked in confusion. "A bestiary," Stiles repeated, but Scott still looked confused. "I think you mean bestiality," Scott said, making both Stiles and Lena want to hit him. "Nope, pretty sure he doesn't. It's like an encyclopedia of mythical creatures," Lena explained. "How am I the only one who doesn't know anything about this stuff?" Scott asked. "Because you're the only one who doesn't watch or read anything interesting," Lena explained. Stiles pats Scott's shoulder, trying to comfort him, "Okay, you're my best friend. You and my sister are creatures of the night. It's kind of like a priority of mine," Stiles explained. "Okay. If we can find it, and it can tell us what this thing is...," Scott said, but Stiles interrupted him. "And who," Stiles said. "We need that book," Stiles, Scott, and Lena said in unison.
