Walking outside, Hisoka stopped by the mini garden bridge that needed to be walked over to enter or exist the main house entrance and peered down at you and Maleeka.

It was rather an aesthetically pleasing cliché sight of you in Hisoka's eyes.

You had on a white summer dress that came to your knees, denim shorts secretly hiding underneath to shield your jewels from the guards when you bent over. Your long hair was plated and separated on either side of your shoulders.
And protecting your beautiful face, was a summer straw hat. Pairing with red garden gumboots.

But to make things cuter, Maleeka was in a blue jumpsuit with a white inner. Her braids, and red boots that matched the colour of her hair.

Both mother and daughter gardening. Well, Maleeka was more in the actual garden soil than on the edge digging up the existing plants.

"Had I known my front garden was going to be destroyed by you, I definitely wouldn't have opened my home to you again." Hisoka amusingly commented to get your attention.

Pushing your sun hat up to look up and have Hisoka in your view, you mischievously narrowed your eyes at him in playful annoyance.

"It looks bad now because it's a mess. I promise it will look amazing in the end." You assured.

"How come you are at home today?" Hisoka let the garden topic go to tackle the serious question.

Shoving the small spade harder than usual into the soil, "Because I took time off from work." You answered rather on edge.

Picking up on your tensed body language, Hisoka released a light sigh before sitting down in the garden next to you. Not really caring for the dirt.

"What's wrong Y/n?" He seriously asked. Knowing full well that you don't take time off from being a doctor because that meant you having to stop helping others in need. He knew you as someone far too passionate for patient care to just want to take time off.

Shoving the spade deeper into the soil so it could stand up right on its own, you took off your sun hat and heavily sighed.

"I'm just stressed and uncomfortable Hisoka." You began to unpack.

"About?"

"The wedding. Trying to get my hours and surgeries done at work and focusing on wedding preparations is just stressing me out. Don't get me wrong. The stress coming from the wedding is happy stress. But I'm overworking at work to make more money because I don't feel comfortable spending yours."

"And if I could help it, I'd just sign the wedding certificate right here in this messy garden with you and Maleeka because a massive wedding is just...A lot. And your home is so big! Inside and out. The amount of stuff it'll take too convert it into a wedding venue and chapel is hectic!" You released all your long over due stress onto Hisoka. But just like a month ago when he first proposed, he only smirked at you with soft eyes. Attentively listening.

Humming thoughtfully, "I was wondering why I didn't see any money being used from my account this entire month despite seeing things being bought and built." Hisoka said that more to himself than to you.

Sighing for you, Hisoka gently took your hand to hold in his. "Then why don't we just sign the marriage certificate right now? Weddings are for guests anyways." He suggested with ever so much warmth oozing off his voice.

Definitely melting at his sweetness, you shook your head in disapproval. "No! I can't have you being so sweet and understanding about this! Or encourage that! Only god knows how many guests are invited, or inviting themselves. And preparations have already been made by Orihime too. We can't just cancel that. Everyone is expecting this wedding to be massive because of your title. I don't even know what I'm going to wear!" You faffed frantically, squeezing his hand.

Smirking even more, Hisoka gently tugged your hand closer to him so you could shift nearer to his face.

"Well, I can help you with the last part because I can tell you how I envision my bride to look." Hisoka commented with a heavenly undertone.

In response, you arched your eyebrow at him rather surprised and curious. "I'm listening..."

"I see you in a white wedding dress that has a massively long train trailing behind you as you walk towards me. Nothing too blinged-out or fancy because I don't want it to distract others from your beauty."

"This dress is flowly with several elegant layers. But the last layer over it all will be a simplistic floral lace design. From the train it'll connect to your arms."

"So, it'll be see through lace covering both your arms entirely. Modest yet still ever so tempting to the eye. But to break up that modesty, your entire back till your small, will be exposed. Completely uncovered."

"And I want it like that because I envision a long thin chain, covered in tiny diamonds. Hanging down your back. And at the end of the chain, will be a hallowed-out outline of a card that says 'Joker's' Being perfectly showcased against your skin."

Saying that, Hisoka lightly tugged you closer to him so he could gingerly caress your cheek with his fingers. And as he did, Hisoka stared hypothetically into your eyes. Definitely getting lost in them..

"It has to be like that because looking at you from the front. They will be captivated by your beauty. However, when walking to me. Your back will be to them. And I want them to be reminded that you belong to me. They need to feel that disappointment of knowing they can't try their luck with you anymore." Hisoka possessively whispered with a darkly rich voice. Immediately making you shudder from such thoughts of your Fiancé. Thoughts that excited you.

If there was one thing you loved about a Hisoka. His possessiveness would be the cherry on-top of the cake.
Although he did dial down on the possessiveness big time in comparison to high school. The times he did express it was rather romantic.

"W-Wow.. that actually sounds...perfect?" You whispered with a surprised undertone. It's not everyday a husband gets wedding dresses right.

"I think you might have to come with me and tell the designer what dress I want." You seriously said.

Huffing with pride, Hisoka removed his hand off your face to take his phone out of his pants pocket.

"I already got your dress made."

Looking down at the phone, you gasped at the picture he was showing you.
How he described it was exactly like the picture.

Money truly can get you what you want.

"H-Hisoka! This is seriously mine?" You grabbed the phone and stared harder at the picture in disbelief.

"You sure you don't just want to take over and do everything?" You pouted.

Chuckling, satisfied that you liked the dress, Hisoka took his phone back and put it away. "I only care about the bride. Sorry." He playfully rejected your request.

Even though you dropped your shoulders in disappointment. You couldn't help but lightly blush at Hisoka's words as you rested against his chest. "Meany..." You murmured.

"Y/n."

"Mm?"

"Planning a wedding isn't stressful when there's endless money available. Just use my card."

"But Hiso-"

"But nothing. Whatever amount you use is insufficient because that money will easily be replenished every few days. So stop worrying and being stubborn." He boarder line demanded with a stern yet assuringly kind tone.

Biting your lip to keep quiet, you glared pensively at your future husband.

Marriage was about sharing the load after all. It meant that you didn't have to shoulder everything anymore. And you had to accept it. To be frank, you genuinely could use a break. Hisoka now had to barely ever work to make millions. Billions by the end of the month. Where as you had to work everyday for hours nonstop to make a few millions at the end of the month. Barely a few.

Just like Orihime said, take advantage of the fact your future husband is a billionaire, almost trillionaire.

"Hm, I'll accept your money under one condition." You said with an mischievously undertone.

Arching his thin right eyebrow at you, "What is it?" He humoured you.

Leaning forward to plant a quick kiss on his lips, "You got to help Maleeka and I with the gardening." You said with a warm grin.

Groaning unsatisfied, Hisoka looked down at the soil next to him. "Maybe you should just work those extra shifts at the hospital for money after all." He murmured in disgust - show casting his lack of commoner lifestyle living.

"Mum's right. You are mean daddy!" Maleeka stood up and crossed her arms unimpressed by Hisoka's answer.

Chuckling lightly, Hisoka took off his watch and rolled up his white crisp sleeves.

"Sunflowers?" He enquired as he delicately rubbed the edge of the yellow petals.

"Yes! It's mum's favourite flower! It makes her happy."

"I didn't know that was your favourite..." He mumbled.

Picking up the small garden shovel, you got back onto your knees and started to dig out the old plants.

"Believe it or not, there's a lot of things you don't know about me still."

"To be fair, I did only know you for a few months out of seven years. And most of the the time we were, busy." He malevolently said as he placed his hand over yours - stopping you from shovelling. Which was an indication he was actually going to help out.

"Shush Hisoka, Maleeka is right here." You whispered through your content blush.

"And, you have the rest of your life to get to know me." You said, hinting that you never want Hisoka to leave you or make you leave again..

A hint which he definitely got because in response, Hisoka just gave you a thoughtfully short corner look in silence.

Silence that made you wonder whether he might be getting cold feet. The normal response would be to say 'I'll love to spend the rest of my life with you.'" But that was wishful thinking.

Hisoka was always a man of a very few words. A man of action. And his actions didn't indicate that he was getting cold feet. For goodness sakes, the man designed and got your wedding dress made for you. Clearly there's no indication of cold feet.

And so forth, for hours on end, the three of you indulged in menial commoner work of gardening, which actually turned out to be quite fun.

Thinking about it, this had to be the first time a family bonding day was created. The endless of conversation that complied of truly getting to know each other and catching up on the missed events throughout the seven years, to the comfortable silence.

Seeking refuge underneath the shady tree during breaks - sipping on minty ice drinks, while covered in dirt, had to be your favourite version of him.Because by then, Hisoka's superior complex, and intimidating demeanour was completely shattered, and replaced with an extremely casual and comfortable chatter-box self.

Even in high school, there wasn't a day Hisoka spoke to you as much as he did now. And not just sex talk like how it was back then. It was proper deep conversations.

Ending off on a playfully high note. Through each other's silly banter, you winded up pushing Hisoka in the garden pond. Blaming it on the rain that made you slip.

"Ew, you know there's like frogs and fish in there right?" Maleeka commented through her giggles.

"Hm, do you think your mother did this on purpose or it really was the rain?" Hisoka darkly asked.

"Oh, she definitely did that on purpose. You shouldn't have teased her appearance."

"Hold it..." You murmured, whipping your phone out to snap a picture of a wet Hisoka.

Sighing deeply, "So hot..." You couldn't help but admire through the lense. Admiration that Hisoka heard and indeed flattered him.

Walking to the edge of the pond, in a blink of an eye, the Joker managed to pull you in with him.

"H-Hisoka!" You yelled in fear as you crawled up his body to prevent your own to be in the pond longer than it needs to be.

Purposely tightening your legs around his waist to hurt him - which was futile because he practically was made out of steel. You deeply scowled at him. Being wet by the rain was one thing. Being wet by pond water made your pressure shoot up. Even though it was crystal clear water, the fact that there is frogs swimming around was unnerving.

"Out of all the things you have come across in your life. You scared of pond water?" Hisoka teased, finding your reaction highly comical.

Frowning deeper, "Hisoka! If you wore a dress and shorts - where there's gaps for things to swim up. You would scared too!"

With a coy smirk, Hisoka supported you high up by comfortably holding onto your thighs.

"Hm...interesting." He lowly groaned.

Inching his face seductively closer to you, Hisoka pressed his cold lips against your now burning ear.

"I know what other things can swim up you." He huskily whispered just so only you could hear.

Instead of blushing, you smirked at Hisoka and brought his lips inches away from your own. Now grinning mischievously.

"Show me what other things can." You spoke while teasingly brushing your lips against his.

Slanting his head to the side - positioning himself to ravish your lips. The passionate make-out session was interrupted by Maleeka yelling like a parent again.

"Why can't the two of you get enough of each other!? Everyday I see the two of you kissing."

Breathlessly chuckling against Hisoka's lips, you glared at Maleeka from the corner of your eyes.

"Missy, I'll answer that question when you come back from Orihime's. Didn't you say you were supposed to meet her to faff over maid of honour and flower girl things behind my back?"

With widened eyes, "Oh snap! Yes I forgot about that. Though, she's actually coming here. I should go inside to dry off. It's starting to rain hard now. But this conversation isn't over missy!" She cheekily commented back before running inside.

Refocusing back on Hisoka, "Do you think she really does mind us?" You asked rather concerned.

"Never. You can tell by her eyes she's happy to see us together. She merely just loves acting like the mature parent, and uses these opportunities to shout at us." Hisoka casually answered.

"Hm, I should discipline her for that." You genuinely thought as a mother.

Amusing huffing, "Please. If you want to discipline her about that then you going to have to start acting the like mature parent. Which means no public displays of affection so casually."

"Excuse me, since when public displays of affection is seen as immature?" You crossed your arms dissatisfactory.

"You only see teenagers publicly getting physical. Not adults."

Rolling your eyes, "Well that's stupid. Just because people don't like each other as much anymore when they get older doesn't mean the rest of the world must follow in the norm of parents not being affectionate with each other in public. If anything that helps the child express love. And not struggle with it like most of us back in the day because of our loveless and parentless relationships we had with them." You said rather passionately. Overly passionately.

But you were right, and Hisoka actually did agree.

Recalling a few months back when you lost your memories. The night the two of you spent laying on the grass underneath the stars. The Joker confessed for the first time about his parents murders when he was young. And because of the violence he witnessed, and being parentless. He grew up the way he was. Unattached. Despondent. Incapable of loving and feeling genuine kindness. Raw. Unhinged. Well, until he met you and learnt how to care for someone. Yet alone be a father and take care of his family. A family he never imagined existing.

"You are stressing and projecting." Hisoka quietly stated while walking to the edge of the pond to sit you down on the shallow bank, while he stayed in the water in front of you - still in between your legs.

"What do you mean?" You asked, loosely unwrapping your legs from his waist, letting it gently sway in the water.

"We aren't going to be them." He referred to your parents and his.

But you definitely weren't convinced by his words, and he noticed that.

"We aren't going to hurt each other nor die? I don't know. That seems to sum us up perfectly actually.." You mumbled underneath your breath.

You weren't referring to the emotional and mental hurt Hisoka put you through, and what he felt too.

Similar to your parents, it was the physical abuse that might turn into a bigger issue eventually one day.

After all, whenever you and Hisoka did fight, things always got physical. You take a swing at him, he takes a swing back at you. Equal rights, equal fights. And by far, Hisoka was no pushover.

It wasn't just those fights though. The one that bothered you, in fact, reminded you about your dad and mother, was how physically abusive Hisoka got towards you when you lost your memories. That night in Paris, after seeing Chrollo.

Hand wrapped around your neck deathly tight, choking the life out of you as he slammed you all against the bathroom furniture. Ignoring your pleas that he was hurting you. Ignoring your gargling of blood. Not caring that air was incapable of being exchanged.

He was genuinely so angry at you to a point of wanting you dead.

Listening to the gentle whispers of trees swaying and rain drops splattering, you subconsciously held your neck - reminiscing on that night in Paris.

Based off that morbid stricken face that paled your skin. Hisoka could immediately see that your eyes were replaying that night he hoped you would never think about again.

Slowly pulling your hand away from your neck, Hisoka began to gingerly plant several kisses all around your wet skin. Each past bruised area, he gently kissed that spot.

Growing sucked in by the serene sounds of nature crying, tears managed to spill simultaneously from your eyes too. Perfectly being masked by the rain.

Looking up at the now dark cloudy sky, blissfully letting the rain sting your eyes. You focused on the hypnotic kisses Hisoka was giving you. Hot salvia against the cool rain made your skin burst with tingling sensations.

His lips were so delicate in comparison to the violent hand strangling your neck a few months ago.

This man was truly a Gemini. One ugly side, other beautiful. He had the ability to push you away and hurt you. Then woo and reel you back in like a bee starved of pollen.

The toxic kind of traits that made you keep coming back to him.

Featherly trailing up your neck, Hisoka began to kiss behind your ear. Hitting your sweet spot.

"..No more hurting." He reassured you. Words so ghostly and vague, they almost disappeared inaudibly with the sounds of raindrops

Gingerly gripping his wet hair, you positioned him to look at you.

"Please?" He heard your cracked voice pleading to him ever so desperately.

"Please don't hurt me again Hisoka..I don't think I will be able to handle another hurtful situation."

Hearing you ask that of him definitely evoked a stabbing sensation in his core.
Things like this just reminded him of his failures as a man to you.

Bringing you in for a hug, Hisoka stared absentmindedly at a puddle forming on the grass just behind you.

"I'm not going to hurt you anymore Y/n."
