Jay called me for the hundredth time today, asking me if everything was set up in the shop. Today was the day. Today was the day when Jay was gonna propose to Rena. He had everything prepared and I could tell that his nerves were getting worse but by the end of tonight, everything was gonna be magical.
I set up the last few garlands around the "Marry Me?" sign and and sprinkled some of her favourite daisies on the floor. After packing up the rest of the stores and adding a few scented candles and floral incense around, I stepped out of the store and waited for Jay to arrive.
After a few minutes, he was there, wearing a lose white button down and ankle length trousers. His hair was slicked back and you could tell he was nervous. I mean, who wouldn't be?!
"Vienna! Oh gosh thank you for everything!" He hugged me and I smiled at him. I just wished everything was perfect. I showed him the set up and he loved it. After giving him the keys to close up, I got in my car and sat in there in silence. Thinking about Rena getting engaged was making me so happy. I played on some music on my phone and started the car.
I was picking Theo up from his club and we were going to go to a lookout point to have that conversation that had been keeping me anxious that whole day. I wiped my sweaty palms on my jeans and started to drive. After an approximately 10 minute drive, I reached at his street and saw him waiting outside, looking sexy as ever. Oh my god why does he have to be so hot?
I took a deep breath and pulled up close to him. He waved at me from outside the car and got into the passenger seat. "How are you today?" He asked.
I smiled softly as I drove and shrugged. "I'm good, I guess! Just had to set up the shop for my colleagues proposal. I just hope everything goes well. How was your day?"
"Not too bad! Just a lot of paperwork." We kept the conversation going, not talking about the 'talk' cuz I was too anxious. I really wanted to but at the same time, I was feeling so shy. I've never ever felt like that before. We reached Mt Buller, where there was a lookout point and got out of the car.
"This is sooo gorgeous! I've never been here before!" I looked around in awe and ran a little closer to the fence to look down. The valley was full of trees and the chirping of birds filled the air. It was beautiful. "Come look at the trees!!" I said excitedly as I pointed to a huge tree that was taller than the sky!
Theo walked closer to me and slipped his hand in mine making me blush furiously. "It really is" he looked at me and I giggled like a child.
I saw a little grass patch next to the fence and decided to sit there with Theo. "Not gonna lie but I've been really anxious about this conversation" I looked in my lap and he put his hand around my shoulders, pulling me closer to him which was very comforting.
"You don't have to anxious, love. We don't even have to talk about anything if you don't want to. I like hanging out with you regardless." I smiled and shook my head.
"I really want to! It's just...scary..."
"What intrigued you about all of it?" He asked.
"I guess-I uh... I liked the idea of being taken care of? A-and I liked t-the dynamic. I saw Caleb and Neve last night and Caleb was in uh little space and I don't know...I just felt like that was really cute and I wanna feel like that too." I stuttered. I couldn't stop thinking about the way Caleb acted and I just wanted what him and Neve had.
I've never felt...loved before. Yes, my friends and family love my but not that kind of love. I wanted to feel wanted and I wanted to be there for someone too. And from what I've read, this isn't all about sexual stuff and that was nice.
"Thanks for telling me. That was a very good answer. And I get how you feel. There's nothing more I crave than being giving someone the love they deserve and getting the same in return." I smiled at him and he rubbed my shoulder.
"Um I never actually thanked you properly for being there when...you know...that happened." I cringed at the thought and clenched my fist. Ever since those two men tried to...I have been feeling not so great about myself but I've hid the way I felt cuz I didn't want people thinking I was weak. The only touch that made me feel protected was Theo's and I hadn't even known him for long but it just felt right.
"You don't have to thank me, Vienna. If you ever want to talk about it or just need someone to be with you, I'm always gonna be there." I nodded and looked at my lap.
"So, h-how does this thing work? What do we do?" I asked awkwardly changing the topic. I heard Theo let out a little chuckle.
"Well, someone's a keen bean. But, let's take it slow. This is all about trust and I want you to be able to trust me before we go any further. I'll introduce little things to you and give you a few rules that you have to follow but calling me daddy and more intense stuff can wait. Does that sound good to you?" I blushed just at the thought of that and nodded my head. I liked how he was going slow and letting me think things through. "If you wanna go slower or faster at any time, just let me know okay?" I nodded again, not being able to speak and he lifted my chin up with his finger.
"First rule, always answer in words."
I melted. His voice was commanding and stern at the same time soft and nurturing. I bit my lip and my eyes just widened a little. I couldn't believe this was actually happening. Oh lord.
"Yes, Theo." I blushed and he leaned in to kiss my forehead. I probably looked like a tomato.
"I know you've never been in littlespace before and you're probably confused what it even feels like but you'll know when you slip. I've seen a few little traits in you and it's adorable."
"What do you mean? I've been little?" I quizzed.
"Well I don't know about that but I've seen the way you act and little things you do. Your mannerisms change slightly and I feel like you'll settle in perfectly. Just keep an open mind and see how you go." My mouth formed an o shape and I blushed.
"I never knew that...I do feel fuzzy every time you use that voice. It makes me feel different." I admitted and he smiled at me sweetly.
"Does it, now? You'll hear a lot of it, that's for sure," he chuckled and I giggled along with him.
"C-can I know all the rules?"
"Yes of course. But before that, I wanted to make sure of something. I'm a very monogamous person and to put it straight, I don't like sharing. If we're gonna give this a try, I want to be the only person you're seeing, if that makes sense. And You'll obviously be the only person I'm seeing. I hope you're okay with that?" He sounded hopeful and he looked at me, expecting an answer.
I hadn't even thought of seeing someone else after meeting him, if I was being honest. "I wasn't even thinking about that. I like you and I don't wanna see anyone else." I said and he sighed. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I liked what we had and I didn't want anything else. Being exclusive sounded good to me.
"Thank you, I really appreciate that. I like you too and I don't even like the thought of you with someone else" I laughed at that and shook my head. He was being possessive in a good way and it was kind of hot. "So as for the rules. They're pretty easy to follow.
1. Use your words.
2. Make sure you eat 3 meals a day
3. If somethings bothering you, talk to me. Even if it's a small thing. I don't want you to be sad or upset about anything.
4. No swearing
5. No lying
6. Always use your manners. Say please and thank you to not only me, but everyone.
7. Drink at least 5 cups of water a day
8. Give me lots of hugs."
I chuckled at the last one and hugged him as he said that. "I understand! They don't sound too bad. Except the swearing and water. Do I get punished if I break them?"
"Yes, love. I'll give out the punishments as we go. Don't worry, I won't do anything that you're uncomfortable with."
He was being so nice. Even though I was anxious about this whole thing, I had a really good feeling about it. He made me feel safe. All these rules weren't even really rules. They were just things to keep me safe and healthy and I liked that. I didn't really take care of myself and this was just helping me with that.
"Thank you! Can I have some rules for you too??" I asked and he smiled at me before nodding. "I like cuddles and I wanna be cuddled a lot. I also want you to get me icecream anytime I want." I said as sternly as I could but he just laughed loudly.
"The first one, yes. But the second one, I'll decide if you deserve the icecream. Things like that are rewards. If you are a good girl, you'll get all the ice cream you want." He chuckled and I whined. It was worth a try. When he said good girl, my heart skipped a beat. I don't know why that work made me feel so...so...warm.
"Ugh fine! Can we get icecream right now?" I asked hopefully and he sighed with a smile.
"I guess you've been really good today. Let's go get your favourite gelato. What flavour are you feeling like today?"
"BUBBLEGUM!" I replied without wasting a second and he laughed.
We walked to my car and I let him drive us to the gelato place.
