The sky was cloudy next morning and the ground become wet and slippery because of the whole night heavy pour. The grasses glittered with the droplets and people inside the temple engaged themselves in their daily routine. In the courtyard Chityakanta gazing towards the sky and sighed. Her maid served her the hot tea. Because of the cloudy atmosphere the weather turned cool and the rain didn't stopped the whole night it added the atmosphere to be colder than usual.
"I still can't believe Lakshya and Sumeska suddenly disappeared from the temple. Lakshya was injured, how come she took her like that?"
Nandini looked at her mother in law. Only if she could tell the truth. The people she is worrying about almost planned to climb the ladder to get power and position. Comparing to Chityakanta, Sumeska is a black hearted schemer. To get power she would do anything. That kind of person, if she let them go then no matter how long it would take but they will back to hunt and revenge. She held the te cup and sipped in it.
"Aunt Sumeska is Lakshya's mother and also the head wife of merchant family. She knows what's good for her daughter. And since the temple seniors told her that Lakshya couldn't recover and probably survive a week, I think it made her heart hurt and wanted to find the solution. In hurry she might left and forgot to inform mother" Nandini said slowly.
Chityakanta nodded finding the reason acceptable "sigh, that child is quite talented and skilled. It's a waste of such talent to die so early. She didn't even get the chance to live fully"
Nandini showed concern expression and nodded "mother is right, such a good lady to die early without experiencing life is unfair. She need to live and survive to see how wonderful life can be"
"You are flattering my dear" Chityakanta smiled "you never opposed my words. Did you always find it reasonable enough?"
"You are my mother, of course your words stands higher than anyone. I never get the chance to feel the love of my mother back in maiden life but it's getting fulfilled once I married. So I won't leave any chance to feel and live it. And also mother is kind to me and I can't express how grateful I am for that" Nandini smiled.
The royal life is hard. Because even though you have mother in law but she couldn't be a normal life other ordinary families. Because the royals hold much position and powers in their hand. The status of in law has high position and can't be offended. So it's hard to get the warm feeling from your in laws if you married in royalty. For Nandini it's kind of different. Chityakanta holds great power in her hand. She is not only the former queen but now her position is higher than queen and since her son ascended the throne, she became empress dowager but still she never showed off her status and position yet she treated Nandini like normal and common woman.
"My child, you are generous. You take care of everything I could ask for. Besides my late husband has chosen you to be the daughter in law of Samrat and I never doubted his selection. Besides that's not only the point. You have such a charm that no one can help themselves but admire you" Chityakanta patted her hand lovingly.
"Mother you are so kind. I must have done something good in my last life to be able to get such a loving family with wonderful people" Nandini couldn't deny the fact. So whatever she said is true. Whatever she couldn't obtain in general mansion she can get it here in her husband's home.
They chatted for a while clearly enjoying the moment of mother and daughter in law.
In the afternoon after having meal, Nandini visited Soumiya who is still resting and in process of complete healing from mind and body. Soumiya was sitting on chair gazing outside the window. It has been more than a month she is away from home. She missed her mother a lot. Her mother used to make her favourite foods to make her happy. But all of a sudden a cruel beast came snatching everything from her. She couldn't help but feel hatred in her heart. It's like something burning and she couldn't find any solution how to stop it.
What kind of mistakes she did because of which God has been punishing her cruelly. Is this fair on her part? She couldn't help but complain.
"Princess Soumiya" hearing her name being called Soumiya startled. She was so engrossed in her own thoughts that she did not realised someone is in her room. She turned around and found Nandini standing on door step holding a busket in her hand.
"Your highness" Soumiya got up "please come inside. I apologise for being aloof"
Nandini walked inside with a smile "it's fine, I hope your health is goo" she placed the busket on table before sitting down.
Soumiya nodded "I am good. The seniors are really kind and take care of every needs. I am grateful for such kindness"
"You seem to have some thoughts. What were you thinking?" Nandini asked.
Soumiya smiled "I really don't know what should I say your highness. I always lived a happy life and never encountered such cruelty and suffered so much it has been so many days that I left Mihap. I miss home, my parents. I don't even want to imagine what they are feeling right now. Mother and father always dotted on me. Taking care of everything I needed in life. I was so happy on that day but suddenly that beast showed up out of no where snatching everything from me" as she said tears started to roll down from her cheeks.
Nandini stared at her with concern. Such a young child. Though she reached her teenage but still she has not completely entered the maturity level to build a strong mentality to fight the hard situation. Besides for a pampered princess like her to suffer such injustice is a great hit in her soft heart which will leave a deep marks forever. A young girl to face the cruel side of reality and being apart from her loved onces will definitely fill her heart with hatred. And this is the fact Nandini did not want. Hateful heart will always lead people to another path of life where they will never find the light of happiness. To stabilize the hatred and turn it into a strong determination is another thing that a young mind yet to learn. So she couldn't let Soumiya's mind to get spoilt with hatred and lead her to dead end.
"This is what we call life princess Soumiya. If we want happiness then we also need to learn the sadness too. Anyway, I heard from general Kulya that you like to eat snacks. So I have prepared some for you. I hope princess will forgive if there's any lack in taste" Nandini said and smiled before reaching out and opening the lid of the busket. She pulled out a plate of Chorafali and placed it on table. Seeing the plate Soumiya's eyes lightened instantly. She remembered this is her favourite snacks her mother used to make it for her.
"Have a taste" Nandini pushed the plate to her.
With trembling hand Soumiya grabbed one piece of Chorafali and shoved it in her mouth. The moment it get inside her mouth she felt the familiar taste and her eyes brimmed with tears again. This taste was exactly how her mother used to make. She looked at Nandini with wide eyes.
"Is it not good?" Nandini asked.
Soumiya swallowed and shook her head "it's really good, I mean too good. It's just....it taste like my mother made it" her heart felt sad. Now she missed her mother more.
Nandini smiled "of course it will because it's made by your mother herself"
Nandini's worde gave a good shock to Soumiya as she looked at her with jaw dropped and wide eyes. She couldn't believe what she heard. Is it really? But how?
"I guess of you turn your head to the side then you can get your answers" Nandini replied her unasked question.
Soumiya's heart started to race and she immediately looked at the side. Tears started to flow as she saw the two people stand on door with teary eyes. She couldn't hold back as stood up and ran towards them.
"Mother, father" she almost shouted.
Nandini watched the young child running towards her parents. The couple cried and hugged the little girl in their arms. It's such a emotional scene that evoked some emotions in her heart. Soumiya finally meet her parents but in her case... Her heart tightened at the thought. She couldn't. She never had the chance to get spoil by her mother. She never get the chance to complain for snacks to her mother. The only thing she could do was....
Miss her...
Note:-
It's quite emotional. It made my heart ache of my empress.
No matter how powerful a person can be, there are still something thay couldn't get. Some things they couldn't change. And it's reality.
Soumiya's incident proved that even though we live a good life, it doesn't take a second to change happiness to sad.
My girls, let me remind you...
Never try to live life like a princess. A title and position of princess is dependent. So it won't change your thoughts and effects your actions. Rather, live like a Queen because a queen does not need anyone's support to hold for. She does not need a king to give her the title. Because even if there's not a king, a queen can rule her life and change it according to her taste. Take for a example- in chess game, queen had better moves and better position to defend and she is also the one who shield the king from getting attacked and also she is the one who has best way to give check mate. So if you pull your courage together and explore your talent and then make a good use of it, let me tell you no one can stop you. Because you know from your heart and mind that you are already a queen to win.
I always portrait the head strong queen type heroins - why? - is to give you a good example, That life can bring many problems to give a break down but it's not living. Giving up will never be an option. If you fail then stand up and try again. Try until you success. Life will get tried of bringing up the challenges if you fight for it. Fight to win and fight to be a queen. It's not easy to become queen. You need to have courage in heart and determination in mind. And once you achieve it- the world will be under you.
I hope my stories and my words can give you entertainment and also a good lesson to survive the life ahead of us. Even if stories are fantasy but it also represents reality.
