"Yo daddy is such a dumbass for real. Auntie Ava got you though baby, for life." Ava says to my stomach, making me laugh. I am now 4 months pregnant, still heartbroken over Jon cheating. It made me feel so worthless, being pregnant and getting cheated on is a horrible feeling.
It felt like he didn't want me, regardless of how many times he apologised or how much shit he sends to my house. He is only sorry he got caught. "What are you thinking about?" Ava asks me, resting her head in the palm of her hand.
I tilt my head to the side and blink a few times. "I'm hurting." I say smiling, trying not to cry. Ava holds my hand and rubs her thumb against it. I manage to hold back the tears as she starts to talk.
"I know you're going to hate me for this and I'm NOT justifying what Jonathan did. It's just that something about this whole situation doesn't make sense." I furrow my eyebrows and clear my throat, indicating she should carry on.
"Dani stopped fucking with you and Jon for a while. Now all of a sudden, she pops back up? Like it's weird." I shrug my shoulders, itching the top of my head. "I mean yeah it is weird but what can I do? It happened." I say rubbing on my temples.
"I don't want to put ideas into your head, but I think he was set up. Yes I know he still cheated, I just really don't think Jon would make that decision if he was sober. That girl probably got him black out drunk to get him to sleep with her." Ava says sitting up on my bed.
"But who?" The conversation comes to a halt as the doorbell rings. I get up from my bed stretching and then go downstairs to answer the door, Ava following behind me. I get on my tiptoes to look through the peephole. I smile as I open the door.
"Gabi. Hey!" I give my little sister a hug and then pull her inside. "Hey Ele. Hey auntie's baby!" She says to my belly. "Uh uh. I'm going to be the favourite auntie." Ava says. Her and Gabrielle get to bickering but I ignore them as I walk into the living room.
They were going on for a while, play fighting. "Y'all, get it together please." I yell out to them from the couch. They come into the room pushing each other. "Who did you come with?" I ask Gabi. "I got an Uber." I nod my head and then tie my hair into a low bun.
"What was you guys doing? Where is Serenity?" Gabi asks turning to me. "We were chilling. Serenity is with her father." Gabi nod her head. "Y'all still broken up?" I nod slowly and she hums. Ava picks up the TV remote and puts on Netflix.
I knew I wasn't going to be paying much attention to whatever she put on, so I picked up my phone. I had a message from my boss Shaya.

I laugh at her message. I wasn't really supposed to be around bleaching products at work. It can be harmful to my baby. If I was going to be around it for a short amount of time, I'd have to wear a mask.
I seen I had a message from Jon but ignored it because it wasn't about our baby or Serenity. Since the first time Renny called me mommy, she hasn't stopped. I'm really becoming a mommy to two little people.
Gabi starts to record my belly and daps it up. She saw this idea on Tik Tok and started doing it to me. She is doing it every month until the baby gets here. It is cute but I think she'll forget. Gabi saves the video to her drafts and continues to scroll through Tik Tok.
I answer a few messages from Kehlani, we had made a song together. We have both been in the studio with producers, just writing music. It's been amazing. I put my phone down and try to focus on what was on the TV, but couldn't.
I look over at Gabi and she was glued to her phone. I look to Ava, she was watching the TV and playing with the promise ring Khalik had brought her. I found that adorable. It's funny how Ava got a ring but I got a baby. It is what it is, Jonathan has a different way of showing love I guess.
"Gabi? You staying for dinner or do you want me to take you home?" I ask her. She locks her phone and looks at me. "Well Carmen said she'll be able to pick me up in a few hours. She'd be on her way back from her new friend's house." Gabrielle says.
I make a weird face and laugh. "What friend? She only really rock with Alexis. Since when did she start making new friends?" Gabi shrugs and picks up her phone again, this time going on Instagram. "I don't know. Some girl called Dani."
My eyes widen and my jaw drops. I turn to Ava, seeing she had a similar look on her face. "Gabi, do you know what this girl looks like? That name sounds familiar." I try to say nonchalantly. "Erm, hold on let me think." Gabi says.
She closes her eyes in thought and then opens them again. "I know she got blonde curly hair. That's one thing that stood out to me. Carmen was at the house and she was on Facetime with her." I grab Gabi and hug her tightly then kiss the top of her head a bunch of times.
"I love you so much." Gabi looks at me confused but shrugs it off. "I'll take you home later if you don't want to stay." Ava offers making Gabi smile. "Yeah I'll stay over, but can you take me home so I can get some clothes?" Ava nods and they talk amongst each other.

My own sister? Why the fuck would she do this to me? I need to stop asking myself these questions and find Carmen's ass.
I let out a breath and shake my head. "Gabi, can you make me a sandwich please?" I ask sweetly. She gives me a fake smile and taps my hand lightly. "Only because you pregnant." She responds, making me laugh and she leaves the room.
I turn to Ava looking at her seriously. "Dani? Really? That fucking bitch." I try to say lowly. I pick up my phone and search for Carmen's contact. I click on her number and listen to the phone ring. I put it on speaker so Ava could hear the conversation. Carmen answers on the fourth ring and it sounded like she was outside.
"Hey sis. Where you at?"
"Hey lele. I'm just uh, with a friend right now. You?"
"I'm just at home. Facetime me real quick? Let me say hi to your new friend." I click on the Facetime icon and she starts to stutter. She declines it and stays on the voice call.
"Girl, I look a mess right now and my friend is in the shower."
"Oh well can you come over? I need to talk to you."
"Yeah I'll be there in an hour."
"Okay cool. See you soon."
Literally the second before I hang up, Ava chimes in. "BITCH!" I slap her arm and laugh. "I think she heard that." Ava shrugs. "What are you going to say when she gets here?" She asks me.
"I need to keep it calm. I really want to put my hands on her but I need to remember my niece is in there. But I'm done with her. I literally want nothing to do with her at all."
I rub a hand on my chest. "That baby is saving her life for real. I'd have a field day beating her ass." Ava says punching the air. Gabi comes back into the living room with my sandwich. "It's turkey. I know ham makes you a little queasy." I smile and take the sandwich from her.
Aww, she remembered. She hands me a Kool-aid Jammer and then sits next to me. We all talk for a while as I eat my sandwich, the TV playing in the back. It did take Carmen more than an hour to get here but she finally does.
Ava walks with me to the door, she wasn't going to miss this. I open the door seeing Carmen stood there. "Hey Ele." She tries to take a step in but I stop her. "Where did you just come from?" I ask her. She looks stunned and tries to cover it with a smile. "Oh, just Alexis' house."
"Lie to me again. Where were you?" She stays silent for a few seconds. "I was with Alexis." I laugh lightly and clap my hands together a few times. "Ooh I wanna hit you so bad. Okay, I'll say this very calmly WITHOUT trying to get angry. Why are you chilling with Dani?"
Carmen starts to play with her hands. "Bitch! You don't hear her talking to you?" Ava says getting loud.
"I didn't want you with Jonathan. I was jealous. Mom and dad are always praising y'alls relationship, it was getting annoying. No matter what Taurus does, they don't like him at all. So I contacted Dani and asked her if she'd do me a solid by sleeping with Jonathan. Meaning you guys would break up. She got him drunk at an event and managed to bring him back to her apartment. I took a picture of them and sent it to theshaderoom and came to show you, so you'd break up with him."
I tilt my head a little. I was expecting her to continue lying to me, but she just started running her mouth. "You're a piece of shit Carmen. Your own sister? Family clearly doesn't mean anything to you." Ava says pointing in her face. I smile at Carmen clasping my hands together.
"I will NEVER forgive you for this. I hope you and your daughter have a great life, because I don't ever want to see you again. And I mean that with everything in me. You are a fucking scumbag for ruining my happiness. I'm starting a family and you out here playing homewrecker. You tried it with Ava and now your sister? I do not want anything to do with you Carmen. I'm sick of all this drama I just want to enjoy my pregnancy."
I step back and slam the door in her face. "I can't believe she did this to me Ava! She knows how much I love Jonathan and she just-" I break down into tears and Ava holds me, rubbing on my back.
