Waking up first, Maleeka was surprised to see both her parents cuddled against each other asleep.

It was odd seeing affection given like this. She was so used to seeing the two of you attempting to kill each other, yelling, not really talking, or just tolerating each other. After your memory loss, you and Hisoka got along, but the actions were merely friendly.

But this time, the feeling that filled the entire room from the two of you sleeping like that together was..Love.

"Was this how the two of you were in high school?" She distantly whispered.

Although for the entire time Maleeka had never said anything, she could never forget what she heard during that fight. The fact that she was a mistake, and the reason her parents 'broke up' was because of her existence. It was a tough pill to swallow. Even bigger for a small kid.

So seeing the two of you in each other's arms again made her feel light again. The energy she saw radiate from that prom picture taken many years ago, was a similar energy that she got right now.

"Mm, I should get these two to sleep together in the same bed more often. I wonder if they realise they are cuddling together." Maleeka deviously thought.

As much as Maleeka wanted to be apart of that cuddle, she had a feeling that the two of you needed this time together alone undisturbed more than anything right now.

So after taking a sneaky picture of the two of you on your phone, Maleeka quietly got off the bed to go to the bathroom.

After another an hour or two, the two of you woke up in the most classic way ever. The ringing phone.

Frowning a bit because this felt too familiar and you were 'tired' of this constantly happening, "Hisoka your phone." Your half asleep self informed.

Hearing the phone vibrate aggressively on the bedside, you murmured again. "Hisoka." You deadpanned.

Peering to her side, Maleeka found the interaction rather cute. You ended up somehow sleeping over Hisoka's entire body. Legs in between his, arms either side of his torso, and your head rested in the croon of his neck. She truly loved seeing her parents together like this.

She always wished to have two parents all affectionate and happy with each other like she saw on TV.

Even long before she met Hisoka, growing up, she always dreamed about having those father-daughter relationships like in the movies or what she sees in the parks. But of course Maleeka never wanted to make you feel bad or upset you at the mention of being fatherless.

You were always enough for her. But she was still a kid that wanted what everyone else had.

"Oi.." You groaned, tapping his cheek lightly.

Slowly peering open his eyes half way, Hisoka let out a tired but irritated sigh. Contemplating why he put his phone back on after his shower.

Extending his left hand to the table because his right was comfortably holding you. Hisoka answered the phone.

"Yes?" His deep silky voice boomed smoothly.

Feeling your body drop with his second sigh expelled from within the chest, you could tell that he was partially annoyed with the usual work nonsense.

"Okay." Hisoka curtly replied before cutting the call and calling another contact.

"Sebastian. There's an issue at my club. Can you sort it out?" Hisoka asked rather than demanded.

He didn't see his inner circle as his members that work for him anymore. He respected them enough to call them his friends now.

"If you can't, it's fine. I'll sort it out." He added, feeling rather generous this morning.

"Okay. Thank you." He, out of character, appreciated. Cutting the call.

Putting his phone down on the bed, Hisoka now held the sides of your shoulder blades comfortably with both hands. Enjoying how your body felt on his.

"You have to go?" He heard you mumble against his neck.

Slightly smiling, "No. So rest more if you must." He replied.

It was clear as day that after the two of you had sex, there was a sense of intimacy and comfort that developed. Although it was a friends with benefits type of sex, you couldn't help but subconsciously feel you belonged to Hisoka after last night.

Feeling Hisoka tenderly stroke his hand through your hair at the back, and being blissfully intoxicated with his scent, sleep stole you away once more.

As the minutes ticked by, Hisoka opened his eyes upon feeling the bed subtly move. Before he could look to the side, he felt Maleeka already rest her head over his broad shoulder.

Taking his one hand off you, Hisoka shifted his arm so could hold Maleeka from behind too.

It was this moment that made everything seem worth it. Worth the pain. Worth the distance and time apart. To have you and his daughter in his arms. Hisoka will never truly forget this family moment.

He never thought in a million years this is how his life would turn out. Being loyal to one woman. Having a child he never wanted, but now would destroy the world for.

A man that never wanted to settle down. But now was absolutely content with having the two woman his heart was fond up nuzzled against his neck as if he was their protector and salvation.

"Are you and mum together again?" He heard her timidly question.

Averting his gaze down to his side, meeting her big golden-hazel eyes. "Not yet. I'm working on it." He lowly replied.

"You seem happier though." She maturely observed.

Smirking, Hisoka gently caressed down Maleeka's cheeks with the back of his thumb.

"From fighting wildly with her, I managed to get her asleep comfortably in my arms. Of course I would be happier. Your mother used to be only girl that I couldn't easily get. Now she can't resist." He confidently stated with a smug undertone Maleeka couldn't help but giggle at.

"How did you get mummy to fall in love with you?" Maleeka whispered.

Hearing the word love instantly made Hisoka's internal self grow still. That word was so seldomly used and felt in his world.

"Hmm.." Hisoka hummed distantly as he looked up at the ceiling.

"It just happened.."

"Because she had to live with me, we naturally grew closer. We Learnt about each other. Went though a lot together, and somewhere along the line we-she fell in love." Hisoka smoothly corrected. Maybe he was still in denial, but he didn't care too much about that. He wanted you and he was fond of you. And he would be damned if any other man had you. That's all that mattered. The use of the word Love was odd to him.

Uttering such emotive words for himself wasn't up his alley.

"And you?"

Looking attentively back down at Maleeka, "And me what?" Hisoka asked.

"Why do you love mummy?" Maleeka innocently asked.

Oh, that word again. Staring intensely into Maleeka's eyes, Hisoka couldn't seem to speak for the first time in his life.

But this was his daughter asking the question. He had to answer. Although he was new to parenting, he wasn't dumb enough to not understand the importance of a child hearing why their father is fond of their mother.

It was only fair Hisoka returned the favour. Because for seven years you spoke good about him to Maleeka.

"She's my ride or die Maleeka." Hisoka calmly answered with distance lingering in his undertone.

"Mm?What does that mean?" Her confused young self asked.

With a small side smile, "When you're older you'll understand." He used the most infamous line a parent can use.

Pouting a bit, "Well then, tell me something else I'll understand!" She childishly whined.

Growing quiet again, Hisoka thought about it for a bit. Not because he struggled to find reasons why. He just had never openly spoken about this before.
The others always knew Hisoka had a thing for you, and never once questioned it.

Since it was just Maleeka, and you were asleep - because he will never tell you all this to your face. He could openly talk about it now?

Averting his gaze away from Maleeka over to you. Hisoka's intimidating and tough demeanour shattered. As always when his eyes landed on you.

"She's the strongest and smartest person I've ever come across. And in my field of work, there's a lot. But none can compare to her Maleeka."
He calmly began to answer the question.

This was so hard for him to talk about.

"Your mother was the only woman to ever see past my exterior. Took her time to get to know me in depth. And not once was judgemental despite the ugly layers of me she came across in me."

"...She's forgiving and patient with me. And in overall on the same wavelength as me. It's only her that could distress me. Someone I could have real innocent fun with and have a real conversation with for hours. She's just.." Hisoka trailed off into silence. Getting lost by staring at you.

"She's?" Maleeka gingerly encouraged. Staring up at Hisoka in awe by the kind words he used to talk about her mother.

"..Beautiful.." Hisoka almost inaudibly stated. Now being completely lost in a trance by the visual of you.

Hearing Hisoka mutter that word, Makeeka's eyes immediately lit up ten fold. She knew her father was a bit emotionless and secretive in terms of talking about his thoughts, so hearing him speak such emotive words stirred Maleeka's heart. After this, she definitely saw her father in a new and positive light.

Hearing tiny squeals of happiness coming from his left side, he was mused out of his hypnotic trance your sleeping image put him under.

"What's happening to you?" Hisoka asked with a raised eyebrow.

"What you said was so cute!" She couldn't help but beam. A bit loud enough to cause you to stir in your sleep.

Glaring down with seriousness but playfulness at her, "S-sorry." She giggled lightly through the whisper.

"I hope one day I can find a partner that loves me that much." Maleeka commented.

Since you stirred in your sleep - moving off Hisoka, with that now free arm Hisoka smoothly pinched Maleeka's cheek. "You are not allowed to date until I'm dead." He warned.

"Ow." She winced, swatting his hand away. "But you and mom d-'' Before she could finish her defence towards Hisoka "No boy will be good enough for you. If you find someone, he has to go through several tests I'll put him through. End of story. Besides you far too young to worry about that. Your mother and I weren't even interested in relationships at your age." Hisoka calmly subdued Maleeka's protests.

"Mmm." She grumbled childishly.

"Daddy." Maleeka's tone changed.

"Yes?" He answered.

"You remember when you told me that men whom wear earrings like you do, and dress all serious are all leaders in their work line?" She recalled vividly.

"Yes?" He encouraged her to continue.

"Well, I was up for a few hours before now, and I went down to the lobby for a mini walk, and I saw around, 10 men like that. Sitting together in the reserved area of the lobby."

Obtaining this information Hisoka abruptly sat up and stared down at Maleeka seriously. Almost worried.

"Do you know what they looked like?" Hisoka asked.

Sitting up with Hisoka, "Um..One had short black hair with blue earring studs. And a cross on his forehead. One had long black hair, very pale skin. He had this sharp purple tattoo running down the sides of his nose. His earrings were sliver, a bit long and sharp with a circular pattern in the middle."

"Ahh.." Maleeka thoughtful trailed off.

"Oh yes! There was this guy with orange spiky hair. He had a lot of piercings all over his face actually. This other guy was extremely tall and muscular. He had blonde hair and gold earrings. I think he had pink sunglasses on and this pink feathery coat on. I can't remember the rest I'm sorry."

With thousands of scenarios running through his mind, Hisoka took his phone and got up off the bed. "No, that's perfect." Hisoka responded before disappearing into the other room to make a call.

"Illumi, I need a favour urgently." Hisoka said with a noticeably stressed undertone. Although the others, besides Sabastein . Were giving Hisoka the cold shoulder because of Hidan's death. Illumi was the other 'friend' that didn't really have an opinion about Hidan's death because of his indifferent personality.

"Yes, what's the matter?" Illumi answered.

"There seems to be a leader gathering of 10 where I am. Happened over night. I don't have a good feeling about this. How fast do you think you can organise a plane to Belgium. I don't want to risk taking my plane because I don't know if it had been tampered with overnight."

"Belgium? Why there?" Illumi asked.

"Because I'm going to drive there after this call. I don't want to stay in Paris for any longer waiting for a plane. I rather keep moving."

"I have some contacts in neighbouring countries. It'll take you 3 hours to get to Belgium. By 2pm there should be a plane waiting for you at Brussels Airport." Illumi informed.

"Thank you." Hisoka relaxed a bit after knowing there's a plan.

"I don't understand. Paris is run by Chrollo. He's our ally . You should've been fine." Illumi confusedly stated.

Sighing deeply, "I know. But what's making me nervous is that Dolfamingo is here. He is as fickle and shady as they come."

"Dolfamingo?" Illumi sounded a bit surprised. In the background Hisoka could hear Grimmjow's muffled voice reacting to that name with detest.

"Hisoka." Illumi sternly uttered.

"Yes?" Hisoka strenuously responded, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.

"Do you need us to travel with you? Right now 10 leaders know you are alone. That's dangerous."

Remaining quiet, Hisoka stressfully ran his fingers through his straight hair. Things weren't the same anymore between him and his gang. And for no valid reason too. And he wasn't going to force it.

"No. I can handle it. After this favour. I'll owe you. Repay it and that's it. None of you have to worry anymore about me." Hisoka abruptly commented.

"..."

Having cut the call, Illumi looked at Grimmjow a bit taken aback.

"Is he cutting ties with us?" Illumi asked.

Before Grimmjow could respond, Orihime got off the couch to walk away. "I wouldn't be surprised if he did. You guys made him feel unwelcomed." She commented.

"..Hisoka will be fine don't worry. He can handle himself." Grimmjow assured Illumi, although it sounded a tad bit like he was trying to convince himself.

"That's just it. Hisoka isn't by himself. He has to worry about Maleeka and Y/n. Word must be spreading in the underground world that Y/n is alive and Hisoka has a child. Whether we have allies in other countries or not. Everyone wants a seat on the throne. Hisoka only ever had us too trust and aid in defending him." Illumi logically thought. Maybe almost emotionally thought out aloud.

Inhaling one deep puff of smoke, Grimmjow flicked the dying ash off his cigarette a bit stressed out. ".. He will be fine Illumi. Hisoka is as clever and witty as they come. Even if 10 gangs are there, he will outsmart them. Hisoka isn't at the top for no reason."
