(ZACHS POV)//31st DECEMBER 2020//
I was so worried about Y/N even seeing her in that bed made me sick. She shouldn't have to go through the any of this.
I walk into the party, happily. I start to search for Y/N. I get a message.
Giggles😊: I'm in the guest room.
I smile. I changed her contact to Giggles after our second dated. I walk through the party and say quick hi's to people before opening the guest bedroom door. I see a beautiful girl standing in a beautiful dress.
"You look beautiful." I smile to her.
"And your looking handsome." She smiles hugging me.
"How are you feeling?" I ask her.
"I'm feeling better." She smiles.
"Thank god because if I ever have to hear my mom say you've had heart failure again I'm gonna have heart failure." I chuckle.
"Don't do that to me, it's not fun trust me." She giggles.
I didn't realise but as we were talking we had started to sway to the music from the house.
"What's your New Years Resolution?" She asks me.
"Well, have a great year." I say. "Yours?"
"Try not to faint every month." She says.
"That's not a resolution, you can't control that." I chuckle.
"But if don't, it's a miracle." She giggles.
I smile at her.
"Let's go and say hi to some people." I say to her.
"But then people will know." She says.
"Y/N we are friends as far as they know." He reminds me.
"Are you saying we aren't friends?" She smiles.
"I don't know are we?" I smile.
We both leave the room and disappear into the party.
//1 HOUR LATER//
I lost her as she ran off to her friends while I was talking to Crawford. Now I'm talking to Jack.
'So New Years kiss?" Jack asks.
"I don't think so." I say.
"What why!?" Jack yells. "Two dates and no kiss."
"Jack stop, I really want this to work out." I say to him.
"You know I never thought you'd settle down." He laughs.
"What?" I chuckle.
"When you were with Kay, before the guys and I knew that it was management. We all used to say you'd never settle down for a girl." Jack says.
"Yeah I guess." I laugh.
"You really like her?" Jack shakes his head with a smile.
"I really do but I'd Daniel or any other Seavey finds out my heads on a chopping board." I say looking at Daniel dancing with Franny.
"I'm sure, he'd only beat you up." Jack laughs.
//1 HOUR LATER//
This party was dying down, everyone was pissed faced. Most people having sex. I go to find Y/N.
Me: where are you?
Giggles😊: I'm with Adam in the kitchen why?
Me: how you feeling about the party?
Giggle😊: Zachary Dean Herron do you wanna leave the party? I'd never think I'd hear it.
I can hear her giggle in my head.
Me: do you wanna?
Giggle😊: yeah, I've had five guys ask if I want a kiss and tell me how sexy i am.
Me: okay I'm coming to the kitchen.
I was mad at people for talking to her like that. I walk into the kitchen and see Y/N talking to her friends.
"Hey." I say to them.
"Hey Zach!" Adam yells.
"He is drunk as hell." Lillian laughs.
"Where are you guys gonna go?" Katie asks.
"I don't know, just away from this." Y/N says looking at me.
"I know a spot." I smile.
"Don't have sex." Adam says.
He leans towards me.
"If you do use protection." Adam whispers to me.
We say bye and I take her hand. I lead her out of the party and we get into my car. The car ride we talk about the party before we get to the beach.
"I love the beach." Y/N smiles.
"I know you do." I smile.
I take a picnic rug out of the back of my car and we walk into the sand.
I set us up and we both sit down.
"It's beautiful here." Y/N smiles.
"It really is." I smile.
I wrap my arm around her. After a while we are both laying on our back looking at the moon. We are talking and just enjoying each other's company when my phone goes off.
"Happy new year." I smile at her.
"It's new year?" She looks at me.
"Yeah." I smile.
She rolls onto her side and I do the same.
"Happy New Year." She smiles.
We just lay like that for a second. I just wanted to pull her to my lips and kiss her.
"Zach?" She asks.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"Is it to fast for a New Years kiss?" She asks looking at me in my eyes.
"Not at all." I smile.
I pull her closer and kiss her soft lips. She kisses me back, her hands sit on my chest. One of my mine holding me up and the other on her cheek. She tasted like candy. We pull away and smile. That was the best kiss I've ever had.
"Happy New Year beautiful." I say as we lay with our heads pressed together.
Normally I'd want to be a party with heaps of girls on New Years Eve but having Y/N in my arms, on the beach having our first kiss tops every New Years I've ever had. We lay for a while just enjoying the sounds around us and talking every once and awhile. Then my phones starts to ring. I groan.
"Who is it?" She asks.
"It's Jack." I say rolling my eyes.
"Answer him." She says.
I put him on speaker.
"Dude where are you!?" Jack yells over the music.
"I left the party." I say.
"Do you know where Y/N is Daniel's looking for her?" Jack asks.
"I took her home." I say to Jack.
"Really cause I hear waves?" Jack says in a snappy tone. "Hello Y/N."
"Hey Jacky." She smiles.
"Happy New Years peeps." Jack says.
"Happy New Year Jack." Y/N says snuggling up closer to me.
She was cold.
"Did y'all kiss?" Jack asks.
We share a look before shaking our heads.
"No we didn't." I say.
"You both suck at this." He says hanging up.
I put my phone back in my pocket and lay back down.
"I should take you home." I say to her.
"Why?" She complains.
"Your freezing." I laugh.
"Fine." She says.
We both pack up our things and getting back into my car.
