Two days later another news spread in temple that shocked everyone. Sumeska and Lakshya suddenly disappeared from the temple and no one knew where they left. Even master monk was not informed about this but he seemed not to care about such matter and even declared to all the people in temple not to pay heed in the news and continue to do their works.
In other side, Ageratina walked inside the room and stood behind Nandini "my lady there place has been settled"
Nandini nodded "good, let Egy pay attention to them"
"Yes" Ageratina nodded.
"My lady, why didn't you told anyone about this matter? I am just curious that what they did was something a big crime. Offending the royalty even doing such illigal things are clearly rebelling and not putting the royal palace in the eyes" Atropa said from the side. She watered the flower in regular basis.
"What's the point of that? In most case mother will hate her long known playmate and will get sad thinking about it. She will even doubt in future before interacting with other people. And for his majesty he would place them is dungeon then decree them to behead. But what important is, doing this will that pair of people realise what they did? Though Lakshya was manipulated by her mother but still she is an intelligent woman but it's pity she couldn't define the good and bad by herself. For a people like them, death is the simplest punishment. I would rather leave them hanging between life and death than giving a direct decree" Nandini said as she moved forward and sit on the couch.
"Besides, for a proud girl to live depending on medicine and knowing that she will die anytime. This kind of fear is enough to be the best punishment for her. And as for the mother, for a woman the most important part of her life is her children. And if she have to live a life where she will never be able to hear her children call her mother even though she has one , then isn't it better to die than live?the most treasured dignity being robbed from her because of her own conduct is the greatest punishment. Living with regrets is more painful than dying tragically" she explained.
From the start of bringing Red Pearl, both maids know the life of other party won't be good. Their lives become a fatal destruction because of their own sins.
"My lady, will marchent family do anything?" Ageratina asked.
"What will they do?" Nandini leaned on the pillows "that family doesn't care about them. If my guess is not wrong that bastard of a man in charge of family must be wishing for them to die already. He won't care whether they live or die. Besides he don't know what happened here. If he knew, he would kill them by himself for plotting against royalty"
"Her highness looked sad. She was worried about young lady's health" Ageratina reminded.
"Mother has kind heart but other party did not appreciated it and took advantage of it. Let her be. After sometimes she will get better"
In the evening, unexpectedly it rained. It was the first rain that happened after Nandini got married. She stood by the window watching the drops falling wetting everything. The flower plants decorated on window side become wet and flower petals dripping the drops of water on the wooden window frame.
"This is my first rain" Nandini mumbled as she stretched out and let the rain pour on her palm. Ageratina and Atropa smiled as they looked at her. The sky become already dark covering the scenario of outside.
"My lady I have prepared for the dinner. Would you like to have now?" Atropa asked.
"Where is his majesty?" Nandini asked as she withdraw her hand and turned around.
"I have not seen him from morning time. May be his majesty is busy with something" Atropa replied.
Nandini frowned. She gazed outside again. His majesty always stays in temple and there's not seems to be any urgent matter which would need his attention during such heave pour. Where is he? It's almost dinner time.
"How's the princess?" Nandini asked.
"The princess is fine. She is resting and her mental stability is healing with time. It seems General Kulya is doing fine with his health. He now can walk supporting with walking stick. The seniors taking great care of them. It won't be long before they will recover" Ageratina informed.
Nandini nodded "what about what I asked to be done?"
"It's already prepared my lady. Just waiting for the right time to execute it"
"Good, it will go good if it goes during that day"
"Yes" Ageratina nodded.
"My lady about dinner?" Atropa asked.
"Let's wait for a bit. His majesty should be here anytime. Besides it's quite early too. This is the first time his majesty seems to be disappeared" Nandini replied as she frowned. Something strange. She shook her head and sighed before walking inside and about to sit on couch when she heard a bang outside.
"What happened?" Nandini asked.
"My lady may be someone is out there. The heavy pour and thunder sound is too loud to hear anything from inside" Ageratina replied I will go and see.."
Before her words could finish they saw a silhouette appeared inside.
"Your majesty?" Nandini frowned as she walked forward.
"What happened to you?"
Manik's eyes were red and his body slightly trembled as he stepped forward. Nandini reached her hand placed the back of her palm on his forehead. It was slightly hot. Manik couldn't stand as he leaned on her.
"How did you got fever suddenly?" Nandini asked and glanced at Ageratina "prepare hot water bath"
"Your majesty, try to stand stable" Nandini hold his body trying her best to keep him stand.
"Atropa go brew ginger soup"
"Yes" Atropa withdraw immediately.
"Where have you been your majesty? How come you got fever?" She asked him.
"Went out with master to stroll around but never thought it will rain suddenly" Manik replied still leaning. His head was kept on her shoulder.
"You couldn't stand cold much. The weather outside will be colder of it rained" she sighed "anyway you need a hot bath to remove the coldness. Your majesty stay stable" she almost give in as he almost pressured his body on her.
God, this man is tall and muscled already. How can she withstand his weight on her. Just then Ageratina informed the hot bath was read. Nandini nodded.
"Your majesty help you wife to walk towards the bathroom. I can't bring you there by myself" she said again.
Manik was still conscious so he slightly lifted his body and helped Nandini to bring him to the bathroom. Inside the bath, there was a huge circular wooden bathtub filled with hot water. There was a cloth hanging stand where some robes and towels are already placed. Steams coming from the water and it has slight fragrance. There was some herbs floating on the surface of the water.
"Your majesty, help me to undress you and get you inside the water" Nandini said and helped him remove his upper cloth leaving his pant and helped him to get inside the tub and soak in hit water.
Manik sighed when he sat inside. A kind of relief expression filled his face. Nandini leaned and supported herself on the wooden frame.
"Your majesty this hot medical water will help you remove the coldness from body. And once it's done the fever will subsidy itself. You just need to soak the effects of hot water and the medicine"
Manik did not replied but sit there unmoved.
"Tiu should bring umbrella next time when you go out. Whether it's rains or not put the safety first. If I was not here then the fever could get high until you couldn't get out of bed for weeks" she said again then dipped her fingers to check the water.
"The temperature is perfect. Your majesty soak for a while. In meanwhile I will go and make some arrangements outside for you. After sometimes I will be back and check it again" she said and prepared to leave the bathroom but what she did not expected was a hand firmly gripped her wrist and tugged backward. Her balance lost and she directly fell in hot water and body collide with hard muscles.
The sudden act shocked her to the core. Before she could recover she felt her body being embraced by a pair of hand and pulled her even closer. Her breathing becoming heavy as she closed her eyes. The certain person behind her sighed and leaned his head and placed it in her neck. Their position is kind of intimate as other than her wet cloth there was nothing that separating their body from eachother.
The first thing she recalled was how come she ended up like this?
