"From Beck?" I ask
"Uh yeah that's what it says" Harley nods looking at it again
"Thanks" I take it and everyone looks at me as if I'll open it and read it aloud
"I think I'll go read this in my room" I look at them each slowly showing that i would like some privacy
"Ah man"
"Whatever y/n"
"That's okay kid"
"You do that"
They all answer at once
I walk off and go to my room with the letter.
I look at the envelope for a few moments at my desk.
Then I get the courage to open the letter.
The writing is neat but was as if he was rushing at the last part.
In the first section he wrote about his progress. Therapy, owning up to his faults and mistakes. Self healing.
That part made me smile. I was happy that I could make such a big difference for him.
Then in the second part of the letter he asked me about Wanda. Said he had heard my name on the news a few times in the past couple days...
That part worried me more.
I dropped the letter and sat with my knees close to my chest as I thought about Westview.
In my mind that place holds amazing memories of the family I wish I still had... but in reality it was like a prison to all inside the town, being bent to Wanda's insane perception of a perfect life.
I don't know it till I snap back that there's a tear running down my face.
Like dad said the fbi can only question me about it but I still feel guilty for some reason.
I know if pietro and I get questioned we would be defending Wanda till the death of us... which would only make us more guilty
We were only trying to help Wanda...
"Y/n"
I hear peters voice at my door
"Yeah?" I snap up
"Can I come in?" He asks
"Sure" I nod
The door opens and he comes in
"Soo I called aunt Nat"
He says nervously
"Really!? I was actually already thinking of calling her after you suggested it" I smile
"Yeah! She said she was already planning to come check on you anyways" Peter nods
"She must've heard too then..." I look down thinking of how worried she must be about not only me but Wanda as well
"Do you think Dr. bruce is coming with her?" Peter asks with a glimmer of hope in his voice
It would seriously be good for all of us to have a family reunion
"Let's hope so pete. I miss everyone" I sigh
"Is the letter good?" Peter asks looking at my desk
"Well it's not bad... he mentioned Wanda.." I look at the letter uneasily
"So everyone in the world probably knows then..." Peter says
"Yeah even people in maximum security prisons" I try to joke as I sit on my bed
"Do you know where Wanda went?" Peter asks sitting next to me
"Not really no" I shake my head
"I'm surprised pietro didn't follow her" peter makes a good point
"Well I wasn't exactly doing very well when she decided to up and leave" I frown
"But I mean they're twins.. I know Harley and I would follow you anywhere to make sure you're safe" Peter nods proudly
"Even across the world?" I smile softly
"Across the galaxy" Peter chuckles
"Across the universe?" I put my pinky out
"Across the universe." He links his pinky with mine and we share a laugh
"Wanna play Mario kart till Nat gets here?" I smile
"Yeah!"
We beat Steve in Mario kart like old times
"Visitors have arrived" jarvis announces
"Thanks Jarv!"
I run to the door with Peter and Harley
I open it and smile so big my jaw hurts
"My kiddos!" Nat smiles standing with Bruce
"Nat Bruce!" I yell jumping on her for a hug first
She squeezes me tight as I take in the warm comforting feeling
"I missed you" she giggles
"I have so much to tell you" I tear up a bit as she lightly touches my cheek
"Sounds like you need a girls night" Nat reads my emotions well
"Come on y/n we all wanna say hi!" Harley jokes nudging me
"Alright. Hey big green, you're looking quite normal!?" I smile seeing Bruce as his normal self
"I can turn it on and off! Impressive right?" He smiles lightly
"I knew you could do it" I giggle
"Heard you've been busy" Bruce asks
"Yeahhh Seems like everyone has heard" I nod
"It's alright kid. We're here for you" he pats my shoulder
"Gamma rays and the assassin?" Dad chuckles coming to the door
"Tony" Bruce smiles giving dad a hug
"Why don't you come in" steve waves our guests in and greets them
"All we need is Robin Hood and lebowski and we got the team back together" dad jokes
"I'm here for family support Stark, no more team ups right Captain?" Nat smirks
"Whatever red head" dad rolls his eyes jokingly
"She's right, our team did our duty" steve sighs putting his arm around dad
"Now I need to talk to my wonderful niece so we can figure this whole situation out" Nat smiles at me
"Yes please" I sigh stressing
I go with Nat to my room where we sit on my bed
"Ooh I almost forgot!" She smiles and pulls a small tub of edible cookie dough out of her bag and 2 spoons
"No way" I giggle
"Dig in" she smiles handing me a spoon
"Thanks.. so what have you heard?" I ask sticking my spoon in the cookie dough
"Hmm well, you and Pietro tried to help out wanda and.. things did not go as planned. Let me guess Wanda is on the run again?" She asks
"Yeah... she didn't say where to" I nod
"Wonderful. So what you were submerged in her own little reality?" She asks as we share cookie dough
"Oh my god Nat it was awesome. Scary power, but amazing abilities." I nod covering my mouth as I chew
"And now the authorities are searching for her because of that power" Nat shrugs
"That and she took a whole town hostage.." I sigh
"So what's your dilemma?" She asks
"The feds are looking for pietro and I, most likely for questioning. Pietro went to basically hide out with clint and try to find Wanda." I explain
"And you need to hide as well? You know who your parents are right?" She chuckles
"I know Nat but I honestly don't think they could get us out of this one... you know I'd defend Wanda till the end" I say seriously
"I know kiddo me too... so let's figure this out" she sits back a little to think
"You're the one person I know could hide me good enough" I smile
"And I know just the place. Up for a trip?" Her eyes light up
"You'll have to talk to the bosses" I laugh
We rush to the living area where everyone is sitting
"Okay shell head I'm taking my niece with me on a family vacation" Nat declares more than asks
"Oh really?" Dad looks at me questionably
"Nat has a plan for me, the feds won't find me" I nod confidently
"Are we sure this is the right decision?" Steve asks looking between dad and I
"elaborate" dad asks Steve
"Well I mean what if they only want to ask a few questions and it's no big deal" steve shrugs
"Valid point" dad nods
"Or y/n and pietro could get roped into being blamed for the incident since main cause, Wanda, is nowhere to be found" Nat argues politely
"You still doing ballet?" Dad asks off topic
"Ugh I'm going with nat" I roll my eyes
"Going where!?" Peter runs in from the kitchen
"It's a surprise" Nat smiles
"A few days without y/n around? Sounds good to me" Harley snorts
"He doesn't mean that" Steve shakes his head
"I know he doesn't" I smile softly
"Where are you going anyways?" Harley asks trying to act like he doesn't care
"Only Nat knows that much. I'm just along for the ride" I smile at nat
"Like I've been saying it's a family vacation" Nat shrugs to Harley
"Yeah, yeah but if it was family wouldn't we all be going?" Harley crosses his arms
"Kids got a point Nat" dad nods
"You guys are just looking too far into it. Dad, pops, I'm going with nat till I figure things out. I'll keep in contact." I nod assertively
"You got it kiddo be safe" dad salutes me
"Make good choices" steve smiles with a thumbs up
"Alright pops let's play a round of Mario kart" Harley claps his hands together jumping on the couch with our parents
"Oh! I wanna play" Peter uses his webs to grab himself a controller
"Bruce up for some Mario kart?" Dad looks at the doctor who shrugs
"I think they'll be just fine without you" Nat laughs
"I'll grab my things" I smile softly
I run to my room and pack a good sized bag. I grab enough clothes for a trip and my toiletries then I'm out the door.
"Okay let's go!" I run to the door
"I'll start the car" she nods
"Y/n" I hear dad call me
"Okay" i watch Nat walk out the door
"Hey kid" dad says getting closer
"Yes dad" I smile turning
"Be safe okay? And stick with Nat. Let me know if you need anything at all" he says seriously
"Thanks dad. I'll be back soon" I smile softly
"I love you kiddo" he opens his arms for a hug
I hug him back and he kisses my head
"I love you too" I giggle
"I love you more" he whispers Sweetly
And with that I'm in the car with Nat and we are driving to wherever she has planned!
I better call pietro...
