Park Eunbyul did a little wiggling-dance as TREASURE walked into Gentle Monster's NUDAKE Dessert Shop in the HAUS DOSAN Flagship Stores. They tasted the café's newest addition to the menu, which was a black pastry crust with a rich matcha cream dip called PEAK CAKE.
As TREASURE enjoyed the delicious taste of capitalism, Hyunsuk received a video message on the company tablet, which he played for everyone as they paused their eating. Except for the growing babies of the group who multitasked as they paid attention to the video — as well as their food.
"So Junghwan, what did you sign us up for?!" Eunbyul quipped, looking up from her dessert while trying to understand what was happening. She couldn't hear the whole audio clearly, but she heard 'let's go to Busan' and that was enough for her to get riled up.
"It's nothing weird, I promise!"
"That's not convincing enough!"
After calming the female by stuffing pastry into her mouth, Hyunsuk and Jihoon broke down what Junghwan meant. Since their Iksan video reached a million views, everyone promised to visit Busan to tour the place since it was Jihoon's hometown.
But little did they know what their trip comprised, and for starters, they weren't even going to Busan.
TREASURE moved onto the eyewear section, trying on different styles of glasses as they were endorsing Gentle Monster's HAUS DOSAN as a whole. It was their first endorsement, but rather than being nervous, everyone was playful, just being themselves as they promoted the eyewear.
Eunbyul checked on the glasses, randomly choosing one as she wore it, blabbering the generic statement where she advertised the product, encouraging the viewers — their fans — to buy their eyewear from Gentle Monster. Asahi followed her everywhere she went, finding joy in pestering the youngest after hearing that she got flustered every time he was near her from Yedam.
"That glass looks really pretty on you. Do you like it?" He kept asking her as she tried on different glasses for fun. "Oh, that's a good one too," he commented, nodding along as he looked at the youngest.
"Asahi-kun, please stop," Eunbyul pleaded, folding her hands together as she gave a tight smile. The male had been constantly giving her teasing remarks ever since they recorded the TREASURE quiz episode, and Eunbyul had no one to blame except Yedam.
He had exposed her embarrassing secret, and now she couldn't hide from Asahi.
She simply sighed when he didn't stop, continuing to follow her as he kept putting various glasses into the little basket in his hands. Usually Eunbyul had enough brain-cells to understand what was happening, but she just looked confused at Asahi's actions.
But when he took longer to arrive to the car and came running with a Gentle Monster bag, Eunbyul put it all together. As soon as Asahi entered the car and handed the female the bag, she realised what had happened — and upon opening the bag and checking its content, Eunbyul only confirmed her suspicion.
Asahi had bought almost every pair of glasses Eunbyul had tried while endorsing the products — mostly the ones they both agreed to look good on her.
"ASAHI-KUN! THERE'S LIKE TEN SUNGLASSES AND FIVE GLASSES! THAT'S FIFTEEN! I DON'T WANT GOURMET GLASSES! I DON'T EVEN WEAR THEM!"

Eunbyul lied. Of course she did. After all, Asahi was the one who gifted her these expensive glasses, and she was going to wear each of them everywhere she went to well use them.
And that included the fake trip to Busan.
TREASURE groaned and whined, taking in their surroundings once the bus came to a stop. As soon as they saw the military camp, chills went down their spine, thinking of the worst-case scenarios for the T-MAP content they were going to shoot.
They were duped, that's for sure. The staff knew what they were doing and there was no way this was unplanned. Everyone stepped out of the bus, lining up outside as they stared into the distance, trying to see what was waiting for them.
"Boys, we are going to meet Byul's brother today," Jihoon joked, even though he was bummed about the fact they didn't get to go to his hometown.
Hyunsuk sighed, shaking his head. "He's in Japan, Jihoon-ah. Don't be stupid," he mumbled, feeling salty that they were brought to some military camp.
Before they all could take a deep breath and calm themselves, the general blew the whistle, asking them to fall into four lines. "You can stand at the side," he stated, pointing at Eunbyul.
The boys were slightly shocked to see the female wasn't exempted from the hell training they were about to go through, but questioned nothing, seeing as the cameras were rolling — they relied on their staff and trusted them in what they were shooting.
TREASURE fumbled at the orders the general gave, but still ran to the building when they were ordered to do so. It was all too sudden, but they silently walked into the barracks, following the rules the general had given them.
Eunbyul had her own uniform too, which she went to the ladies' room to change into. She almost squished herself while pulling on the strings to tighten her pants, since they were too baggy. Quickly changing, she ran to the barracks, standing with the boys just in time before the general officer arrived.
Everyone went back into the field, falling into four lines while Eunbyul stood beside their lines. "Yoshida, forward!" The general announced, confusing the boys as they didn't know what it mean. They awkwardly repeated it, looking between Yoshi and Eunbyul, eyes going wide when the female stepped forward, standing straight.
"Recruit 13! Park Eunbyul! Yoshida Hoshi!" Eunbyul enunciated each other, saluting the general as she stood with her back, facing the boys.
Of course, Eunbyul was a part of everything. Her oldest brother, Daichi, served both in the Korean and Japanese military with his multiple citizenship — which meant he had his connections. The production staff contacted him, having a plan in mind and asking for help, to which he referred them to the military academy he gave his mandatory service in.
As the sister of an army commander, Eunbyul was supposed to know everything — which she didn't. But after countless of early morning video-calls and training, she had a good understanding about how things worked in the military.
Obviously, she didn't know whether her training would help — but at least she was in the good books of the general, and that was enough for the time being.
"At ease," the general said, and the boys watched Eunbyul's posture loosen, her feet slightly apart, with her hands behind her back. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Yoshida. I assume you can show your colleagues the basic stance." The female smiled, hearing someone call her by her mother's last name.
"Yes, sir!"
"Go ahead, Yoshida."
Eunbyul turned to her members, slowly taking off her glasses as she tucked them on her shirt. She maintained a blank face as she saw the angry looks of betrayal on their faces, going ahead with the order that was given to her.
"Recruits 1 to 12, I am Recruit 13, Yoshida. Your numbers are sorted according to your birth order, from oldest to youngest. I hope we all can work together to show our enthusiastic selves in order to convince the general and the field officers of our passion!" Eunbyul did a great job in yelling out the order, her deep voice heard loudly across the field. "We'll start off with the basic stances!"
Now just because they were basic, didn't mean that TREASURE could do it.
There were a lot of casualties, after which Eunbyul taught the boys from the beginning — with the first lesson showing them what is left and what is right. Everyone got their sides mixed, and Eunbyul tackled that issue first before showing the other stances the general officer had ordered them to do.
However, half an hour later and the boys still couldn't get the stances down, stressing the youngest female, as the same members kept messing up. "Ah, oppas! Come on! We have learnt choreo that are harder than this! Get it together!" She yelled, squinting her eyes as the sun hit her face directly.
They put in everything they got into perfecting the stances, doing the best they could for their female maknae. After another fifteen minutes, they got down the moves, having memorized each direction and stance.
"You can stay here and show them the exercises," the general explained, and Eunbyul nodded, standing in front of the four lines as she warmed up for the training. "You can wear your glasses if you can't see well." He pointed at the glasses the female had tucked on her shirt, wanting her to see well and do the exercises properly.
"Oh, it's alright. I have good eyesight, but Asahi-kun got these for me." The words fell out of Eunbyul's tongue before she realised the military general probably didn't care. "They are pretty, aren't they?!" She continued, unable to hold back as it caused a few of the boys to break into laughter.
"Yes, they are, Yoshida." The general played along, shaking his head while contemplating why he even accepted to train these idols. It was only an hour or so, but they were fun to be around. He wasn't going to lie. "Let's start the training!"
The rest of the training was full of stifled laughing. No matter how many times she tried, Eunbyul couldn't control her laughter whenever her gaze landed on Asahi — and the after eye-contact with Jihoon didn't really help either. With great difficulty, the TREASURE members somehow got through the hell-training, panting and puffing by the time they were done.
After finishing off a few laps around the field, everyone got together for a drill training review, where the general officer and field officer looked over their posture and stances. Most of them did well, and the review finished quickly, with the officers giving slight compliments.
As the man was informing them about the latrines, the wind in Pohang got harsher, treating to have TREASURE's paperdolls — Asahi and Doyoung — almost fly away with it. Eunbyul stood between Jihoon and Haruto, rocking along with the wind as she found it fun, only to have both of them hold on to her hands, keeping her in one place.
"I will not fly off, let me be."
"Don't worry, Byul. I'm just holding on, so that if I fly off, I'm taking you with me."
"And I'm holding you to make sure Jihoon-hyung doesn't take you with him."

After wearing the necessary gear, TREASURE travelled to the other side of the academy to have a go at ranger training. They watched another recruit show them how it's done, which made everyone clap at the soldier as they watched in fascination.
Eunbyul went rope-climbing last since she had no one else to go with, but the young recruit offered to join her, putting on his gear quickly. "Permission to show off, sir!" He stood straight near the ropes, looking at the general officer.
The older man gave a short nod, wanting TREASURE to have a look at what their soldiers could do. "Me too! Permission to not get hurt because safety comes first, sir!" Eunbyul requested, saluting the general as she smugly smiled at the response she had for the cocky recruit.
The general chuckled at her response, giving her a nod as he watched her climb the rope net and come down in record speed — although it wasn't as fast as the recruit, it was faster than her members.
But when they went onto the third floor to try out the obstacle course laid out for them, Eunbyul immediately fell back from the group, feeling totally uneasy as she accidentally looked over and saw how high they were from the ground.
"You alright?" Junghwan was the first to approach her, knowing how afraid she was of heights. "We can tell the others if you aren't fine." Eunbyul shook her head at his words, mustering the most genuine smile she could give, masking her fear as she shrugged, looking excited to try the obstacle course.
"I'm doing great, Hwanie. This looks exciting!" She stated, chuckling so she wouldn't start whining.
She didn't lie, actually. It looked excited, but she just didn't want to be a part of it.
Like always, Eunbyul was set to go at the end, which in a way was helpful, as she could see how the boys tackled the obstacles and learn from the mistake they may do. To anyone with keen eyes, they could clearly see how out of it Eunbyul was as she watched her members cross the ropes.
"Is there anyone with a fear of heights?" Eunbyul watched as Junghwan and Haruto raise their hands as they answered, with the general giving Haruto words of advice while he complimented Junghwan on his bravery.
Even though Eunbyul didn't raise her hands, her shaking pupils didn't go unnoticed by the general and the field officer. The two older males exchanged looks, checking if they both saw the same thing.
"Yoshida, are you scared?"
"Not at all, sir."
The general raised his hand, gesturing the youngest female to do the same. "Raise your hand like this." He ordered, watching as Eunbyul unknowingly copied his gesture.
The female's hand shook slightly as she held it up, and even with the slight rain in their eyes, everyone could see how scared Eunbyul was before she quickly kept her hand by her side, flexing it as she blamed it on the cold weather.
While Yoshi was making his way back to the others, Eunbyul got ready, standing at the edge as she waited for the order from the general to start. "Are you feeling confident?" He asked, covering his eyes from the rain that poured slightly harshly.
Eunbyul shook her head. "Not at all," she answered, the enthusiasm drained from her voice as she sounded absolutely terrified.
"Are you ready?"
"Not at all!"
"Are you going to give up?"
"Not at all!" Eunbyul gave it her all as she yelled, clinging to the ropes as she squinted, trying to see the next step despite the rain. "Park Eunbyul, Yoshida Hoshi! Ready to cross!"
Steadily, the quivering female somehow got across the first rope-line, pausing as she stood at the big pole, leaning her back against it as she took deep breaths. She tried to convince herself to cross the rest and finish it, but her heart was hammering against her chest each time she raised her foot to take the next step.
But alas, her best friend and birthday twin had her back.
"Byul-ah! Are you going to fall down like you did when Asahi waved at you?!" Jaehyuk teased, loudly speaking over the noise. "Or are you going to cry like you did at the haunted house?!" Junghwan added, holding back his laughter as he saw Eunbyul look angrily at his words.
"IF YOU GUYS DON'T STOP–"
Junghwan took a deep breath, ready to shoot his shot again. "Hyung, do you remember that time she wouldn't stop complimenting Yoshi-hyung and calling him an angel?!" He yelled, making sure his birthday twin heard him. "Yeah! But do you remember that time when she met Jihoon for the first time and wouldn't stop talking about how cute his eye-smile was?!" Jaehyuk continued, causing Eunbyul to glare even though they couldn't see her.
"YAH, DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!"
Their tactic seemed to work, as the fear of her being exposed any more drove the fear out of her, causing Eunbyul to get through the obstacles quickly. As soon as she kept her feet on the wooden floor, she landed two punches on Jaehyuk and Junghwan. Her face completely flushed as she felt embarrassed that the officers had to hear them, too.
Jihoon was the first to give the youngest a hug, patting her back as he complimented her for facing her fears and completing the obstacle course without bailing. Everyone gave short compliments and head pats, showering her with lots of love once they were back at the barracks.
Yedam opted to dry Eunbyul's hair, taking his time as he ruffled her hair with the towel, making sure her hair was wet as she could get sick. Eunbyul, however, couldn't get the scowl off her face, immediately taking her phone as she dialed her brother's number, not caring if he was busy or not.
"Yoshida Daichi! What in the world were you thinking?!" Eunbyul had exploded as soon as he answered before her brother could get a word in. "You know very well that I am scared of heights, and you put me through the ranger training! You told me that was the scariest one!"
Thankfully, the youngest was ranting in Japanese, so only four out of the twelve boys could fully understand what she was saying. And with the way their faces went pink, the others could figure how badly Eunbyul was scolding her oldest brother.
Daichi chuckled, listening along to his sister's complaints as he nodded, not wanting to worsen her mood when she was already pissed. "Was it that bad? It wasn't that bad ten years ago," he stated, trying to appeal to the female. "How bad was it?" He inquired, sympathizing with his sister as she pouted.
"It was so bad, I wanted to eat a whole cucumber."

Park Eunbyul felt her soul leave her body as soon as she saw the food they were going to have for lunch. Not that she wasn't grateful — heck, she would be immensely grateful even if she got a strawberry milk — but eating the food they served would definitely be her last meal.
Having an allergy to cucumbers, another food Eunbyul usually stayed away from was zucchinis. And sadly, it seems that the military people only got their energy from those two vegetables. Other than the sausage stir-fry, bean sprouts and kimchi, there wasn't anything else Eunbyul could eat.
Seeing that the soup also had zucchinis in it, Eunbyul closed her eyes and internally prayed, risking it all as she took a serving along with a bowl of rice. She took the remaining seat beside Asahi, arranging the tray in order as she waited for the general to give them permission to eat.
"We will be strong and awesome! Thank you!" Everyone recited loudly, staying still even after the general gave the order to eat. "Oppas, you can eat," Eunbyul whispered, her chopsticks already in her hand.
As Eunbyul ate, the field officer walked by, questioning Asahi why he didn't get any soup before turning to the female and asking why most of her tray was empty. "I can't eat them on my diet, I'm sorry!" She shortly replied, not wanting to inform everyone about her allergies.
"What diet do these kids need? They are all bones," the officer muttered to himself, unable to address the situation on camera since they were idols and they had images to uphold.
With the little amount of food on her tray, Eunbyul ate fairly quickly, finishing her plate with the others as they waited for Junghwan to finish eating. "Slow down, or you'll choke," she warned to her best friend, stifling her laugh as he continued stuffing food into his mouth.
"Why leave your potatoes?" The general inquired Hyunsuk, peering down as he looked at everyone's trays. He moved to Eunbyul, frowning as he saw the leftover zucchinis in her bowl. "Are you going to die if you eat zucchinis?" He stood behind her, waiting for the youngest to answer.
"I think so. I'm not sure, but I think I might," Eunbyul answered, causing everyone to stifle their laughs as they thought she was joking with the general. "I'm allergic to cucumbers, so I can't eat zucchinis either. But if you want, I can ..." She grabbed her chopsticks, picking a few zucchinis and looked at the general, dead serious as she waited for his order.
TREASURE couldn't hold back their smiles as they burst into laughter, unable to believe Eunbyul was ready to risk it all and eat the leftover zucchinis. "No, no. Just leave it." The general shook his head, walking away from the female before he lost his mind.
After everyone went back into the barracks, the field officer came in, informing them that due to the wind and sea advisory, they couldn't do the naval training — and that their training for the day was over. Eunbyul took a deep breath as she turned away from the officer, struggling to contain her smile as she heard the news.
As soon as the two leaders went to get snacks for their members, Yoshi tackled Eunbyul into a hug, surprised when the youngest didn't whine or pull away. Yedam joined their hug, which soon turned into a sleep session as Eunbyul laid down, pulling the other two with her.
"Okay, good night, Yoshi-kun. Good night, Yedam-oppa," she muttered, intertwining her fingers with Yedam's as she tried to — actually — fall asleep. The two males said nothing but look at each other, communicating through eye-contact as they realised the youngest was too exhausted to the point she didn't care if she was falling asleep on camera.
Although with what Kim Junkyu had in plan, sleeping wasn't an option.
Eunbyul sleepily laid on the floor as the others put on a talent show, doing the wildest things they could thing off the top of their heads. "Fanta for me!" Eunbyul called out as Hyunsuk and Jihoon came with their snacks and drinks.
While sipping on the orange soda, Eunbyul didn't really speak much, nodding along in agreement to everything the others said. As they were cleaning up, the general came in, complimenting TREASURE for how they put up with the training, while wishing for them to become global artists.
"TREASURE, fighting! Fighting! Fighting!"
"T-Bye!"

a/n: sorry it took so long, but good news is it's finally out, and i think i'm down with a fever. but i'm kinda okay with it bc at least this chapter came out before the next one comes - otherwise they all are going to pile up.
