Clint landed the Quinjet in a green meadow as the sun rose behind them.  The Avengers made out of the jet, following Clint who was supporting Nat. Tony had one arm around Y/N's waist to help her walk as she still hadn't fully recovered from her sudden and severe anxiety attack that left her weak.

"What is this place?" asked Thor as he and Steve walked behind Y/N and Tony up the steps of the porch.

"Safe house," Tony replied.

"Let's hope," Clint said and opened the door, leading Nat with him, "Honey, I'm home," he called out, "Hi." Laura Barton walked in, smiling at the appearance of her husband, "Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead."

"Hey," she smiled walked forward to kiss him in greeting.

"This is an agent of some kind," Tony told Thor.

"Oh, yeah," Y/N egged on, "You see?" she pointed at her swollen stomach, "She's promoted too. She might be bringing an intern in a few months."

"Gentlemen," Clint turned to them, one arm around his wife's shoulder, "This is Laura."

"I know all of your names," Laura smiled and quickly waved her hand with an excited look at Nat and Y/N.

Overlapping of footsteps down the stairs caught the groups attention and Clint walked towards it, "Ooh, incoming."

"Dad!" a little girl in pigtails rushed to Clint.

"Hi, sweetheart!" he picked her up and kissed another boy in the head, "Hey, buddy! How are you guys doing?" Steve mouthed soundlessly with a weird look and Bruce wrapped his arms around himself.

"These are smaller agents," Tony frowned, not believing the scene in front of him, and turned to Y/N, but she just smirked at him.

"Did you bring Auntie Nat and Auntie Y/N?" the little girl asked Clint.

Y/N's heart swelled with emotion and she smiled, walking forward with Nat, "Well, why don't come hug them and find out?"

She beamed at Nat's voice and jumped into her arms making Y/N gasp dramatically, "Now, that's offensive!" she placed a hand on her heart, making Laura and Clint chuckle. The girl quickly crawled into Y/N's arms from Nat and wrapped her arms around her neck. Y/N hugged her back with a smile and spun on her place, making her giggle.

"Sorry for barging in on you," Steve spoke up, watching Y/N and Nat catch up with the kids and Laura.

"Yeah, we would have called ahead," said Tony, crossing his arms, "But we were busy having no idea that you guys existed.

"Yeah, well," Clint draped his hand over his wife's and son's shoulder, "Fury help me set this up when I joined. He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D's files. I'd like to keep it that way. I figure it's a good place to lay low."

"Hey," Y/N walked towards Laura and placed both her hands on the sides of her swollen belly, "I missed you. How's little Y/N, huh?"

"I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Natasha," Nat walked to her side and faced Clint's wife.

"She's," Laura dragged and winced, "Nathaniel."

Y/N and Nat's face dropped and the latter bent forward to Laura's belly, "Traitor."

"You better name your next kid after me," Y/N said warningly.

"Next kid?" Laura laughed in incredulity.

"Yup. I bet Robin Hood's got a breeding kink."

"Don't use that word in front of children, Y/N," Nat hit her arm with a towel and gave her a stern look.

"What's a kink?"

Eyes widening, the three woman turned to the little girl, Lila Barton, who was frowning with a pout.

"Nothing, nothing," Y/N shook her head hastily and picked her up in her arms as Nat facepalmed, "Just a word that you should never use." She started tickling her and Lila squirmed in her arms, giggling loudly.

Control your emotions and channel it... He's my brother.... Cross my heart.... I was wrong about you....

Y/N stared at the mirror without blinking after changing into the clothes that Laura had given her. The images kept flashing in front of her when ever she blinked. She relived the very thing she wanted to forget, and it was haunting her now.

"You look even worse than me." Y/N turned around at the voice and saw Nat standing by the door with a small smile.

"What's that?" she pointed at the white box in her hand.

"Alprazolam," answered Nat, "There wasn't anything else. Clint always had your medications and kept stocking them for you. But it's too strong—"

"I don't care."

"You went back there too?" asked Nat and tossed the box to her.

"Is it really a surprise, though?" Y/N sighed deeply, "I'm guessing you did too."

"Yeah," She nodded.

"We really were bitches back then," Y/N huffed a chuckle, fiddling with the box.

"You were. But only to me," Nat shook her head with a smile, "And you kept sneaking out with my sister. It's a miracle you guys never got caught."

Y/N smirked to herself.

. ⋅ ˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ .

"I didn't expect you to make me a Black Ironman suit, you know," Y/N said as she she dropped a pile of logs on the ground for Tony and Steve.

"Black Ironman?" he shook his head, "No, no, it has a name, Y/N."

"Of course it does. What is it?"

"Cheryl," he responded, "Because Veronica and Cheryl keep fighting and are the polar opposites."

"I thought it would be called Betty," she frowned.

He shrugged and swung the axe down on a chunk of wood in front of him, "Thor didn't say where he was going for answers?"

"Sometimes my teammates don't tell me things," Steve walked over to Y/N's side and glanced at Clint, who was in the porch with his son, Cooper Barton. "I was kinda hoping Thor would be the exception.

"Aw, don't be offended, Mr. Skinny Jeans," Y/N patted his shoulder with a mock pout and Tony snickered, "He just wanted to protect them," she placed a large wood chunk on the stand for Tony. "And as for Thor, give him time. We don't know what the Maximoff showed him."

"'Earth's mightiest heros'," Steve said, "Pulled us apart like cotton candy."

"Seems like you walked away alright," said Tony.

"Is that a problem?"

"I don't trust a guy without a dark side," he pointed to Y/N, "I trust Y/N with my life. She seems to have been through a lot." she rolled her eyes at him and he chopped a piece of wood with his axe, "Call me old-fashioned."

"Well let's just say you haven't seen it yet," Steve replied.

"You know, Ultron is trying to tear us apart, right?"

"Y/N?" Laura called her from Clint's side, "It's Steve and Tony again."

"Yeah, same thing here," she muttered under her breath and turned to her, "Keep them in separate coops, Laura!"

"Coops?" Tony raised an eyebrow, "What coops?"

"Oh," she grinned, "I named the chickens after you guys."

"Very amusing," Steve remarked.

"Oh, it is. There're 4 chickens in total. The two chickens that keep fighting with each other are Steve and Tony. There's this one which is always with it's chicks- I named it Clint, don't tell him. And the one that does nothing but eat, sleep and throws fits every now and then, is Thor," she elaborated and the two men stared at him, dumfounded.

"Wait a minute," Tony was the first to recover, "Why's there not a 'Bruce' or a 'Natasha'?"

"Because they're my favourite."

Tony scoffed, "I gonna pretend you didn't say that."

"Y/N!" Laura yelled over again.

"Coming, coming," she told back and patted the men's shoulder, "Try not to rip of each others heads while I'm off."

She jogged over to Laura, ruffling Cooper's hair who was right next to her, "What's up? Are the chickens still—"

"No, no, it's not that," Laura shook her head, "It's the tractor. It seems like it doesn't wanna start at all. You wouldn't mind, would you? I thought of asking Stark, but—"

"It's okay," Y/N smiled, "I've got it. Should be the same as fixing a jeep, right?"

Y/N walked into the barn, looking around at the old machines and farming instruments in them. She walked towards the tractor in the middle of the room, "There you are," she opened the engine tank, "Now, let's bring you to life, shall we?"

"Do me a favour," said a deep familiar voice and she closed her eyes. "And try not to bring it to life."

"Of course. Laura, you sneaky little shit," Y/N sighed and looked up at Fury, "How was vacation?"

"Artificial Intelligence," Fury walked towards her, "You didn't even hesitate. I expected more from you, Y/N."

"Well, sorry to disappoint, 'dad'," she air-quoted sarcastically, "Is that rumour still going on, by the way?"

"How're you feeling?"

"Like I'd like to be anywhere else other than here," she kicked a pebble on the floor.

"I'm talking about your anxiety attack."

She froze and snapped her head up at him, "How'd you know about it?"

"Oh, yes, of course," Tony sneered, walking into the barn and the two turned to him, "Ms. Barton, you little minx. Maria Hill called you, right? Was she ever not working for you?"

"You're late, Stark—"

"Look, it's been a really long day," Tony cut him off and slowly stepped towards him, "Like Eugene O' Neill long, so how about we skip to the part where's you're useful."

"Look me in the eye and tell me you're gonna shut him down," Fury buried his hands in the pockets.

"You're not the director of me."

"I'm not the director of anybody," he shook his head and sat down on a nearby stool, "I just an old man, who cares very much about you two."

"And I'm the man that killed the Avengers," Tony scorned, "I saw it. She did too," he pointed at Y/N.

"We didn't tell the team," she continued and glanced at him, "How could we? Everyone dead, along with the whole world. And you didn't kill, Tony. I'm pretty sure it was me. It's the bloody ledger from my past. I told you I wasn't ready and worth enough to become an Avenger, Nick. But you never listened."

"The Maximoff girl," Fury told, "She's working you two. Playing on your fear."

"We weren't tricked. We were shown," Tony corrected, "Wasn't a nightmare. It was our legacy," he pointed between the two of them, "The end of the path I started us on."

"You two've come up with some pretty impressive inventions," Fury got to his feet, "War isn't one of them."

"I was born from one, Nick," Y/N hugged herself and scoffed with a humourless smile, licking her lips, "Remember? I was always about a war. I was born because of a war. A battle, a mission. Nothing more. And what happens when you add a person like me to a group of righteous heros? Chaos. Mayhem. Bloodshed. I saw the only real family that I ever had and love die in front of me," she pursed her lips and Tony looked up at her from the tractor between them, "And guess what? It wasn't even the worst part. No sir."

"The worst part," Fury walked towards her, "Is that you didn't." Y/N fiddled with the edge of her top and looked down.
