(Y/n's pov)

Today was the day we would train some low ranked demon slayers.

I woke up early, before the sun could peek through my window.

As I wandered around the forest, like I usually do, I remembered the crystal Muichiro-san gave me.

I always kept it with me, inside my pocket.

One by one, the pillars' started emerging out of their estates.

Every time I passed them, I would bow and asked if they needed any assistance.

Since they all replied with a no, I continued walking.

Then I felt a shadow behind me. I stop my tracks and turned around.

"Good morning Obanai-san."

"Mhm yeah." He replied, looking at me with his snake eyes.

"Is there something I need to help you with?"

"No."

"Okay."

I bowed, and continued my trail.

I could still feel him looking at me. Of course I thought nothing about it.

Soon, I got tired of just wandering around, so I sat under a shady tree.

Just as I was about to doze off, I heard a pair of wings flap.

"Kaw, kaw, kaw! Kakushi L/n F/n, please report back to the headquarters so training could begin!" The crow screeched.

With a sigh, I got up and ran.

I saw all the Pillars' lined up in their usual order.

I walked to the end of the line, where Giyuu-san was, alone, and held my arms behind my back.

As Oyakata-sama made his entrance, we all got on our knee.

"Hello my children. As you know, we will be training groups of demon slayers to prepare them for future battles, so, you will each be assigned with a small group and once you hear the bell ring, you swap groups."

We all nodded in response and got up.

The sound of the gate opening alerted me right away that they had arrived.

I know I wasn't that strong, but the demon slayers looked weak and small.

How did they even pass final selection?

"I sense that they have arrived, very well. You may start with your training. I wish you all luck." Oyakata-sama said, kind of scaring the demon slayers.

I am still questioning why people were so afraid of the Hashiras'.

Rengoku carefully counted and split the demon slayers into 4 groups.

A few of them trembled a little when the pillars looked at them.

I watched all the groups depart.

Now, I was left alone at the headquarter.

Where should I go first?

I bet Sanemi's team would be entertaining.

I made my final decision and ran to the wind pillars' direction.

Before I even reached his estate, I could hear yelling.

I figured he would do that.

Once I reached his house, I saw a bunch of demon slayers already out of breath and exhausted.

"Oi! You, Kakushi." Sanemi said pointing at me. "Fight me. Show these weaklings how to do it."

"Mm okay." I hummed, dragging my legs.

My specialty was dodging and I knew, through Sanemi's actions, he made careless moves, as long as it was able to knock the enemy down.

I was suppose to be watching and assist them, but I guess this would be helping.

The white haired boy gripped on his sword and let out an evil grin.

So I was suppose to fight bare handed?

I always used the same strategy when Oyakata-sama trained me.

First I came running at Sanemi, then once he fell for my trap, I struck behind him, swiped his feet and elbowed him down.

I knew he was going to strike back with the back of his foot, so I used my legs to block him down.

"I was going easy on you because you were a girl." The boy mumbled.

I didn't say anything and got off of him.

"AND you were lucky I didn't slice you in half." He continued.

I had enough and started heading for another group.

"HEY COME BACK-"

Before he could finish I waved as I slowly walked out.

I wanna see what Muichiro-san is up to.

I took a short route and arrived at the mist pillars' house.

There was nobody in the front, so I assume their working in the backyard.

I could hear clinging sounds of the swords clashing together.

I opened the door to the backyard, and watched.

Muichiro looked at me with his same no-expression face.

I bowed and walked to him.

Soon I noticed another Kakushi as well. She sat under a small shady tree with her arms crossed.

He already had some help, so I'll take my leave then.

I turn around, but then stopped by a tug on the wrist.

"Wait." The boy said softly.

I knitted my eyebrows in confusion.

He walked to the Kakushi and signaled her to leave.

"I just got here-"

I couldn't really see what was happening since Muichiro turned his back on me.

The girl soon had a terrified look and jumped up immediately.

"I mean- sorry! I will leave right away. Forgive me!" She ran right out the door.

The demon slayers looked at each other not knowing what to say.

"Continue." Muichiro said in a plain voice.

We both sat down on a small bench and watched the training go on.

His strategy wasn't as painful as Sanemi's, but they didn't do much except swining swords at each other.

"Hm..." I hummed.

The boy looked at me as I got up.

I whistled, signaling them to stop.

Everybody turned their heads at me.

"How long have they been training like this?" I asked.

"For a while or so."

"Okay."

I turned my head back at the demon slayers.

"Alright, you won't need your swords for this." I announced.

They all placed their swords back in.

"I watched each of you carefully and noticed some things you should work on, so let me demonstrate."

I pulled the mist pillar up.

"You guys aren't very defensive in open areas that your enemy could possibly strike. If I were to battle one of you right now, I would've knocked you out to a 2 year coma. Watch carefully, okay?"

They all nodded.

Muichiro listened and understood what I was trying to do. He positioned himself and so did I.

I made the first move, he blocked, then he made the next strike, I blocked.

Seeing open areas were just like seeing the thread when your about to slay a demon.

Just as I was about to make a kick for his hip, he grabbed my leg and flipped me over.

He caught my hand just before I could fall onto the hard ground.

I gained back my balance, and stiffened my body.

For the first time, a strand of hair fell, which I didn't even noticed.

I usually tied my face covering pretty tight, and it still somewhat came loose.

Everybody, including Muichiro, looked surprised.

I looked at all of them confused.

"What?" I questioned.

Muichiro grabbed my hand to turn me around, facing him.

I watched his hands motion close to my face.

I felt his soft hands on my forehead.

He tucked the few strands of hair back into the covering.

"O." I said covering my forehead. "Oh it's just a piece of hair, don't be so surprised."

I looked at my occupied hand.

The boy still held it, looking deep into my e/c orbs.

Some weird tension struck me.

Was it because I can hear people whispering and looking, or was I physically hurt somewhere?

I didn't know what to do. Muichiro just gripped onto my hands.

That didn't matter. I had to keep the training going.

"Okay. Let's continue on, pretend that stuff didn't happen."

One demon slayer raised their hand.

"Yes?"

"Do you guys like each or something? Because your auroras seem very bright and strong together." A boy replies.

"That's not related to your training, so I will not be answering it."

Muichiro just continued to grip on my hands, but also looked clueless at the same time.

"Anyways, go into pairs and when you begin your combat, I want you to look deep and closely like your looking for that thread when your about to slay a demon, but instead it'll be opening areas. I'm sure that will improve your fighting skills when it comes to high leveled demons. Trust me, if you don't follow this strategy, you'll get killed within a heartbeat."

I finished my lecture and signed them off into their lesson.

After that, I looked back at the boy who clinged onto my hands.

He looked back at me.

"Why aren't you telling me to let go?" He asked.

"Am I suppose to?" I replied.

I saw a pink tint colored on his cheeks.

Muichiro finally let go of my hand and hid his face in embarrassment. He looked like he was questioning himself.

I chuckled and just patted his small head.

I shouldn't have done that because now I could feel my face burn up.

This time I was questioning myself.

Why did I do that? What is wrong with me? Am I mentally unstable? Possibly yeah. WHAT THE FU-

People used to question me all the time on how I didn't die from a heat wave with all the covering on my face.

To be honest I don't know. I never really thought much of that, only because I stayed in shady areas.

I wasn't doing much, but the hard working demon slayers were fighting in the hot scorching sun.

I felt bad at the same time, though they would have to go through this if they were to become a powerful slayer or even a Kakushi.

We sat down in silence.

"These guys deserve a break or something." I mumbled, before coming up with an idea.

My eyes stretched opened.

"Got it."

"Hm?" Muichiro hummed.

"Keep working, we'll be right back. If you stop and get lazy you'll face some scary consequences." I announced.

I grabbed the mist pillars' hand and dragged him inside.

Once we were inside the cool temperature home, the boy looked at me for a response.

"What are we doing exactly?"

"You'll see." I answered, carefully lifting up my sleeves.
