C H A P T E R 6

(Y/n's pov)

Today I felt lazy.

I usually wake up before the sun rose, but the sun was already up.

My face covering left prints all over my face, and I hated that.

I kept turning and tossing, until I gave up.

I finally had the courage to get up.

The weather was nice out, so I took my daily stroll in the forest.

I would usually pass by Muichiro-san's house first.

I saw him outside, getting ready to leave.

"Morning." I yelled, as I made my way to him.

"Oh, good morning Y/n." He replies.

"Where are you going?"

"I didn't have anything to do, so I wanted to walk around."

"I see."

"Did you sleep well? Because your eyes look droopy."

"I did, but I didn't feel my usual energy."

He hummed in response.

"Wanna go to headquarters and see if there's anything happening there?" I asked.

"Sure."

We both started walking, side-by-side.

Something about this boy... I can't really explain with the right words.

When we arrived at headquarters, it was empty and quiet.

I opened the gate and walked in.

"Well, what are my children doing here? There's no meeting being held." Oyakata-sama said, standing under the shade.

"We know, it's just that we didn't have anything to do, so we came here to find something that'll keep us busy." I replied.

"Ahh I see. Hm... you could be really helpful if you could redo the gardening out here."

"Alright."

"Thank you Y/n and Muichiro."

We both bowed.

Oyakata-sama nodded and went back in.

"Okay let's start here." I said, dragging the boy by his wrist.

He hummed in response.

After a while of working, I felt shadows behind me.

I turn my head around.

"Oh, hello." I greeted the other Hashiras.

"Hello!" Shinobu said waving. "What are you two up to?"
