Luke's POV:
What's happening?
One second everyone could see me and the next, nobody can. Not even my best friends.
"Guys, what's going on?" I ask as I start to panic. I look at Emily to see she had confusion written all over her face along with everyone else in the room. Emily, Alex, and Reggie rush of the stage and go to the Avengers, probably to ask what was going on.
This is too much to handle.
Emily's powers brought my memory back, but they also made me completely invisible.
I see Mr. Stark walk up on stage and start to speak. "Alright everyone, I know that you all might be thinking 'oh my goodness where'd the boy go?' Well I'm here to tell you that we're trying to figure that out, but in the meantime let's get back to the party!" He says as the DJ plays another song and everyone goes back to normal. He walks off the stage and goes back to everyone else.
I walk up to Emily and see that she was starting to freak out. "Where did he go? He just disappeared all of a sudden!" She says as everyone tries to calm her down. "Look Emily, I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this." Willie says as Betty furrows her brows. "Emily?" She says. "It's a long story." Emily says as Betty drops it.
"Vision, you can't see him either?" Wanda asks as Vision nods his head no. "No I'm afraid not. He disappeared to me the same moment he did for you all."
How can I get their attention?
All of this would be so much easier if Emily remembered who I was.
Suddenly that's when all the emotions that I previously had came back.
The heartbreak, the love, everything.
What can I do? How can I make her remember.
That's when an idea pops up into my head, but I wasn't sure if I was ready.
I could play Unsaid Emily for her.
She would be able to hear me and I would be telling our story all over again.
The reason why we lost each other in the first place.
But how would it work? I can't just start playing all of a sudden. I need to practice the song.
I teleport to the the living room in the compound and walk around til I find an office.
I look around until I find a sticky note and a pen. I write down on it and when I finish I teleport back to the party and place the sticky note on Emily's chair.
Maia/Emily's POV:
Where did he go?
One second he was up on stage with us, and the next he was gone.
No one knew where he went or where he could've gone.
I go back to our table to sit down for a minute to process all of this when I see a sticky note on my chair. I pick it up and see that it says,
"Meet me on the stage in an hour."
The handwriting looked familiar but I couldn't quite figure out who's it was.
"What's that?" Alex asks from behind me. I hand him the sticky note and he reads it.
"I guess we'll find out who wrote it in an hour." I say as he just hums in response.
As the time goes on, it feels like the closer the clock was to 11pm, the more anxious I became.
Suddenly a bunch of flashes came into my mind and they were all of Luke and I, but they weren't from tonight.
How is that possible, we just met. Didn't we?
I shrug it off and continue to think about what to do. Should I actually go on stage? What if it was a mean prank. I don't know!
"Hey, it's alright. Trust me, everything gonna be okay." Alex says as he gives me a hug, trying to make me feel better. I sigh as we both let go.
"I know, I just...I don't know I've been feeling weird all night and it's just getting worse."
"Don't worry, it'll be worth it." He says and walks off.
I look at the time to see that it was exactly 11pm, here goes nothing.
I walk towards the stage and as I do, my hands begin to glow.
I ignore it and continue to walk until I was alone on the stage. The DJ stops the music as he notices what was going on. Everyone looks at him confused until their eyes land on me. The birthday girl alone on stage with glowing hands.
An orb floats out of my hand and slowly makes its way to the big TV in the room. When it makes contact, the whole thing glows and that's when music begins to play.
But it wasn't a recording, it was live.
It was a guitar, and it started playing for a few seconds before a voice began to sing.
Luke.

The tv turns on and a video of Luke and I pops up, only it looked like we were arguing.
It didn't have any audio so I couldn't make out what we were saying, but it showed Luke starting to head out my room.
When things got loud
One of us running out
I should've turned around
But I had too much pride
I look at my family, hoping that they had an answer but they looked just as confused as I was.
No time for goodbyes
Didn't get to apologize

A video of Luke showed up and it looked as if he was crying. He was sitting down with a pen in his hand, just looking at the sky, almost as if he was thinking about something.

Emily...that was my name.
Wait a minute...I'm starting to remember.
Another orb leaves my hand and it immediately shoots to the other side of the room, hitting a figure and the person started at appear, but they were glitching.
It was Luke.
Silent days, mysteries and mistakes

Reggie and Alex teleport to the stage and play the song, everything was starting to make sense.
The more the song went on, the more I remembered.

The tv showed a video of the boys practicing this song, proving that this wasn't the first time that they played it.

A video that I knew all to well popped up on the screen. The day the boys passed away.
I was crying as Bobby was holding me back, when suddenly Luke popped up with the red and blue sirens lighting him up.
He was crying and singing the song at the same time.

His figure walks up to me and continues to flash. I walk up to him slowly and when we meet in the middle of the room I reach out to hold him.
When my glowing hands make contact, a big flash of light erupts in the room, making everyone turn away to shield their eyes, including me.
When I look back, I feel my hand touching something, Luke.
I see my hand cupping his cheek. His eyes were red and puffy, hair a bit messed up and his eyes were desperate to meet mine.
"Luke?" I say as his face turns from upset to relieved. "Hi Angel." He says as I look at him in disbelief.
After all of this time, I finally got my Rockstar back.
I smile and I engulf him in a huge hug which he returns. "I missed you so much." I say as we continue to hold each other tight, afraid to let each other go again. "I missed you too, love."
Both of our memories came back, all because of my powers.
We let go of each other and I keep my hands around his neck while he keeps mine around his waist. We stare at each other for a while, faces inches apart before we were interrupted by another voice.
"C'mon guys, just kiss already!" Alex says as everyone including us laugh.
Luke and I turn back to look at each other, we start to lean in until I couldn't wait any longer and smash his lips on mine. He immediately kisses back and the room erupts with cheers and applause which makes us both laugh in the kiss.
We release from each other and he kisses my forehead and we hug each other again.
"Wait, does this mean that Luke is alive again?" Reggie asks as we both turn to look at him. "I think so." I say as both boys rush in to join the hug.
They all begin to glow in the group hug, proving that they were about to be brought back to life as well.
"Looks like Sunset Curve is back." Luke says as we all let go of the hug and smile.
"And it's gonna stay that way. We won't lose each other ever again." I say as they all agree and my family comes up to congratulate the boys.
• TIME SKIP •
It was the end of the party, mostly everyone had left except for the guys and Betty since she was chatting with Reggie at the lounge area. Willie was also still here and was talking with Alex on the stage.
Luke and I were sitting at our table, holding hands and my head on his shoulder, just enjoying these moments together.
"You know, I still don't understand how I was able to bring you guys back to life." I say as we both chuckle.
"I'll explain it to you another day, right now let's just focus on the fact that we're back in each other's lives again." He says as I lift up my head and we look at each other. He kisses my hand and I smile, thankful that I finally had him back.
"Let's go outside, there's something I want to show you." I say as I drag him out of the ballroom and over to a balcony in the compound.
The balcony had the most beautiful view of the city and I always came here whenever I was feeling stressed or anxious.
When we get there I stop and take in the view. Luke hugs me from behind and lays his head on my shoulder.
We just stared at the view, savoring this special moment.
"I love you, Angel." He says as he lets go of me and turns me towards him. I smile and give him a quick kiss before saying, "I love you too Rockstar." He smiles and stares at me before resting his forehead on mine. Something he did when we were having our cute moments.
He holds on to my hands, rubbing them with his thumbs.
"You know, I can't believe that after all of these years, after all of these obstacles we both faced, we're still here together." I say as I look up at him. "It's because we're meant to be, Em."
He grabs my hand which had the promise ring that he gave me all those years ago.
"And this...this is a symbol of everything that we've gone through to lead us to this moment." He kisses my ring and we both decide that we should head back to check on everybody.
When we get back, we see everyone dancing to a slow song that was wrapping up.
"You know, we still technically need to have our first dance as a couple again." He grabs both of my hands and leads me towards the dance floor.
We stop in the middle and he excuses himself before going to the DJ and requesting a song.
"What's he up to?" Reggie asks as I just shrug my shoulders.
Suddenly a song that I immediately recognized started to play. It was the song that Luke had sung to me during Homecoming in our freshmen year of high school.
FLASHBACK, October 22nd, 1993
Los Felix High School
Homecoming Night
Emily, Luke, Alex, Reggie, and Bobby all made their way through the school doors and into the cafeteria where Los Felix's official homecoming of 1993 would take place.
Teens were running up and down the halls, hand in hand with their dates. Everyone was so excited to finally go to their first homecoming, especially Emily who was hoping to finally confess her feelings to her recent crush, Luke.
They've been friends since the beginning of the school year, meeting after Alex had introduced the two and immediately she felt the butterflies in her stomach.
He was perfect in her eyes.
Little did she know that the boy felt the exact same way.
"C'mon slow pokes, my grandma walks faster than that." Bobby says as everyone rolls their eyes. They make their way to an empty table and sit down, everyone's eyes immediately taking in the sight.
"So this is what a homecoming looks like." Alex says as he turns to the girl in the group, her eyes glowing with excitement. "You look excited." He says as he nudges her with his shoulder. "How could I not be?! This is the place where anything can happen."
"And by anything you mean..." Reggie says, clearly confused. "I mean, that this is where the magical stuff always happens in movies." She says as everyone chuckles at her enthusiasm.
Emily was a hopeless romantic and it was clear to Luke from the moment they met to the moment she confessed it to him.
Ever since then, he had been wanting to do something for her that could come straight from a movie, but what?
That's when it hit him, he was literally a singer. He could write a song for her.
When he came to the realization, he made a plan to sing her a very special song towards the end of the night, hoping that by the end of the day they would walk out of there hand in hand.
As the night went on, Luke became more and more nervous. Emily quickly took notice but he insisted that he was fine. She even took the liberty of offering to go home but he refused, not wanting to give up this special opportunity.
The time had finally came to sing his song and with the help of the guys pushing him on stage, he was finally able to calm down after seeing the girl of his dreams in the crowd watching him.
Luke takes a deep breath before strumming his guitar and singing the words that he couldn't bring himself to say to the love of his life.
With the final strum of his guitar and looking straight at the girl who this song was dedicated to, he could see the big smile on her face.
He leaves the stage and goes up to her, his nerves coming right back. "I uh..so d-did you like the song?" He says while scratching the back of his head.
Emily stays silent before taking a huge step and crashing her lips on to his, feeling relieved that the boy she'd loved since the day she laid eyes on him felt the same way.

They danced to their love song, foreheads resting on each other and hearts beating in sync.
Luke was happy because the girl that he had been in love with for two years (technically 27) was finally in his arms once again despite all odds being against them.
Emily was happy because she'd finally felt the familiar butterflies in her stomach despite thinking early on in the year that she would never feel them again. Let alone be able to see the face of the boy that she had learned to realize was her soulmate.
Both knowing that they would do everything in their power to never let each other go again.
For the love that they have was stronger than any force, any distance, and any power on this Earth.
