Lilly POV
It's been about two months of planning to rescue Rora and we'd finally figured out a plan that wouldn't get us all killed.
"I promise she'll be ok," Thomas promised for the fifth time this hour.
"You've already said that," I reminded him.
We were waiting for Tony and his group to be ready. So, we decided to snuggle on the couch while we waited.
"Ok let's go!" Nat exclaimed running downstairs.
I got up off the couch and pulled Thomas with me.
"Can you stay here and-" I started.
"Keep Newt company, yes I can," he said hugging me.
Newt had been sat in his room for days upon days. He would move between his room and Aurora's room, if anyone tried to tidy anything he'd yell at them to leave it. He rarely ate and everyone was concerned that he'd never be the same.
"Be safe." Thomas mumbled in my ear.
"I will. And I'll bring Aurora back." I whispered.
"Even if you don't bring her back, stay safe!" He demanded quietly.
I nodded and walked out with Wanda and Nat.
Aurora POV
Two months. That's how long I've been here. Stuck in this tiny white room. WCKD was kind of good to me though besides not taking the shock collar off me and keeping me in this room and the tests they continuously ran on me, ok they weren't yay good. Still, they would come in and bring me food, which I rarely ate because of the collar, would allow me to go to the bathroom and let me rest between tests. WCKD had kept their word with Newt. I just hoped they would stay away.
"Janson we have already done a test today! We should wait." I heard Ava say from outside.
"If we wait more people will get the virus," Janson replied unlocking the door.
The door groaned as it was pushed open and I slowly looked up at the two. Ava held herself respectfully and Janson had his hand over his gun as if I was going to get up and pounce at them any second. I could barely move, they'd taken a lot of blood to run tests and my arms were strapped to my body in a white suit so they couldn't move. I glared at them as hard as I could.
"It's ok sweetheart, just a few more tests and you will be done till tomorrow," Janson said coming over and hoisting me out of my seated position.
He dragged me out of the room. I tried to keep up but my legs weren't working properly and my eye sight was a bit blurry. I stumbled after Janson and Ava before Janson ordered guards to carry me to the second room I knew so well. They carried me into the 'prep' room and tied me to a familiar table, I didn't struggle it would only cause more problems. They unstrapped my arms and shoved them into restraints on either side of the table.
"This shouldn't hurt a bit," Ava smiled.
I turned my lips up slightly trying to smile back. Ava was the only one that was actually reasonably nice to me. She wasn't the best person to be friends with, but she helped quite a bit.
"Here's the syringe, Dr Paige." One of the ladies mentioned handing Ava Paige a syringe with blue liquid.
The liquid wasn't like the one Lilly and I had before. They filled it with the flare and gave it to me every day to see the effect. Although I hadn't had any problems for the last couple of months but Janson still insisted hey continue to try in case it was a fluke.
Ava inserted the needle into my fore arm and the liquid seeped in yet again. I writhed and arched my back in discomfort and as I felt a sharp pain in my leg I groaned. I haven't a clue why I wasn't used to this. It had been done everyday for the past two months.
"Nearly done," Ava mumbled pulling the needle out.
I relaxed and my body dropped completely onto the table. My body had destroyed the flare upon entry yet again as well as partly healed the reopened wound on my leg that was put there by Janson every day.
"Take her back to her cell," Janson demanded and with that the guards lifted me off the table and to the white room.
Lilly POV
"Coming up on the facility now," I said lowering the quinjet to the floor. It wasn't an ideal landing but I was still getting used to this thing.
The door lowered and we all walked out. By all I meant Tony, Nat, Wanda, Gally, Minho and I. I wanted some people she had been with for ages to come too and Newt was a mess so he couldn't come.
"Remember. Stick to the plan. Get in quickly and quietly then get out. We are only here for Aurora, no one else." Gally explained quietly.
We nodded and advanced towards the door close to us and we slid inside. All the walls were different shades of grey and white. We lightly ran down the stairs to the level we guessed Rora was on. We ran through the corridor, checking around each corner to make sure there weren't any guards. As we got to the door Wanda used her magic to unlock it and I rushed inside.
"Aurora?" I whispered before turning to Tony. "Wrong room."
He nodded and we all ran to a different on slightly further down.
Aurora POV
I heard shuffling outside my room and the click of the lock. I looked up from my corner to glare at the intruders, Janson said they were done with me for the day so I wasn't prepared for visitors. Then Lilly ran through the open door.
"Aurora!" She exclaimed.
A shush came from outside as Minho poked his head in.
"Quiet you dumb shank or they'll know we are here!" He whispered.
Lilly nodded rapidly before running to my side and placing a hand on my shoulder.
"We're gonna get you out of here, ok?" She whispered.
I slowly nodded my aching head. A headache had formed and even the slightest movement would make it worse.
"Now to get this off you," She said examining the shock collar. "Wanda, come quick!"
Wanda ran in and over to us.
"Oh Aurora I'm glad your ok," she whispered.
"We need to get this off," Lilly told her.
Wanda nodded before smiling at me and placing her hands over the collar. I felt her magic creep around my neck and in between my skin and the metal. We heard a beep and the shock collar fell off. I smiled thankfully at her as Gally ran in.
"We gotta go!" He said.
"WCKD soldiers?" Lilly asked.
Gally shook his head and picked me up bridal style.
"Janson is coming this way," he mentioned running out with me.
Lilly followed us out and they ran down hallways and all of a sudden they came to a halt.
