"Yeah, that shower is absolutely amazing" she laughed as she walked over towards Austy, placing a kiss on his head as she sat next to him, happily watching as he finished up his eggs and sausage that I had cooked for him. "You did a great job dressing him" she complimented as she flashed me her brilliant white smile.
"You act like I don't know what I'm doing" I said rolling my eyes as I stuck my hand out to the side, her laugh lighting me up as I waited for her to explain.
"Well, not being mean here or anything, but judging on some of the outfits you've been wearing lately I was a little skeptical that our child might be sporting plaid shorts with a striped top" she laughed as I brought my hand up to my heart in fake offense.
"I mean... it works for me" I laughed, putting the last of the dishes in the dishwasher after producing a fresh plate of hot scrambled eggs and sausage in front of her.
"Let's keep it that way" she laughed as she started to dig into her breakfast as I leaned up on the counter watching the two most important people in my life enjoying their first meal in their new home. "So what are we doing today?" Charlotte asked, her hand coming up to cover her mouth that was still a quarter of the way filled with food.
"I thought I would show you some things to do around here and then take you into LA" I said, her eyes glancing up at me as she halted in her chewing, her eyes filled with anxiousness and nerves as she stared at me hard.
"Charlotte" I laughed. "I know you hate it, but we are going to be spending a lot of time there. That's where the studio is, that's where appearances are, my favorite restaurant is there. Just give it a fair chance" I said, reaching out as I started to slowly rub my thumb along her cheek.
"Okay, open mind I promise" she said playfully crossing her heart as she gave me a cute stare out of the corner of her eye.
I left both of them to eat as I walked out to the garage where I had dropped off Austy's car seat last night, grabbing it as I put it into the backseat of my suburban, only momentarily being stumped with how to install it when I finally figured it out, giving it a small shake to make sure it was in tight before shutting the door and heading back towards the house.
"So I want to show you some things to do around Tarzana for you and Austy just in case there is ever a time you don't want to com into the city with me" I said with a smile as I scooped Austy up from his seat, holding him tightly against my hip as I gently led Charlotte out of the kitchen and towards the garage.
We started making our way towards the downtown part of where I lived as I drove around to point out the different things for her to do from the Park and Recreation center that I knew she would love to go to with Austy, the Encino-Tarzana public library-another place that I feel she would frequent since she loved to read with Austy-and ending with the one place I knew Austy was going to love, The Treehouse Indoor Playground. I had half a mind to stop and take him in, but something inside of me told me that that was a bad decision today, especially if I wanted to spend the day touring them around their new home.
"Well?" I asked her with a hopeful smile as I reached over grabbing her hand in mine as I squeezed it gently as I waited for her response.
"It's cute here, I think I can adjust to this part of my new home. There seems like there are a lot of things for Austy and I to do and a lot of cute parks for us to go walking and playing in. But, all good things have to come to an end right?" she laughed as she looked over at me.
"Remember Charlotte an open mind baby girl" I playfully scolded her as she rolled her eyes at me.
"Not making any promises" she said as she held her hands up in front of her. I shook my head laughing at her. I knew that Charlotte was always a stubborn and hard headed person and when she got an opinion on someone or something it was always hard to break her from it, but I was going to do my hardest to break down the thick walls she had up about LA.
"Always a tough nut to crack Charlotte" I laughed, her hand still in mine as I gently rubbed my thumb over the top of it.
"And you would think that changed because...." she said, leaving room for interpretation as she ended her sentence.
"Good point, you were born stubborn. If I recall your parents always said that you were stubborn right from the time you were born" I laughed, a small smile breaking on her lips as she pulled her right leg up and rested it on the seat.
"Sounds about right" she laughed, looking over at me as she placed a quick kiss on my cheek. "I love you" she said with a smile as she sat herself back in her seat.
"I love you too" I smiled, picking up her hand as I placed a quick kiss on it. I was loving everything about today, the feeling like we have been dating each other for years building immensely from our friendship that had existed forever. "Are you ready to enter the lion's den?" I asked her with a chuckle, putting on my blinker as I merged onto US101 heading towards Hollywood.
"As ready as I'll ever be" she said through a nervous sigh, my hand squeezing hers tightly as I tried to reassure her that everything was going to be okay.

A/N: Okay, not going to lie I HATE everything about this chapter, but I know if I get rid of what I have you guys will be waiting forever for me to come up with something "good". So... here it is.
