The events of what happened the previous nights are gonna be in italics
I remember opening my eyes.... I was so tired from last night.... my back didn't hurt which was strange due to me spending the last 2 nights in an on call room.... The bed felt comfortable, which made me realize I wasn't in an on call room anymore... I tried to remember what happened since I still didn't have the strength to wake up fully. I closed my eyes, I wasn't tired I just needed to remember....
We left the hospital and we arrived to an apartment complex. Kara lead me to her apartment which had 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, the kitchen and small living room. I said "This is a nice place Kara" She said "Thanks, I got it for a good deal..." We ate some take out and watched a surgery tape and headed to sleep. But before we feel asleep I overheard a conversation between Kara and Joey... Kara said "Joey I want to see you again but you gotta understand that Lia is here... Derek called her a whore and she needs a place to crash.... I'm not gonna kick her out because you want to get laid.... she's my person". I immediately felt bad because Kara felt like she couldn't do what she wanted because she pitied me. I feel asleep and I woke up the next morning, headed to the kitchen where Kara had breakfast ready and Kara said "Morning.... If you need to spend the night here again it's fine Lia" I said "No Kara it's fine.... I heard you on the phone last night.... I know you want to have some fun with Joey..." she bit her lip and said "Lia I can have sex anytime with Joey" I said "I'll go stay at the old house I will be fine Kara...." She looked unsure and said "Are you sure... you're more important than getting laid" I said "Kara it's fine...." After eating breakfast we left to the hospital. I entered the Intern locker room, placed my bag in my locker and Dr. Parker assigned me to the clinic where I spent the hole day just checking on patients. I was going to spend the night at my moms old house, but I remembered that I didn't have a car... I didn't want to bother anyone and I wasn't going to go home so I went into an on call room and spent the night there. The next day I was off so I had basically went to the cafeteria when no one was around, got my food for breakfast and lunch. I remembered since the cafeteria wasn't opened in the night I wouldn't eat dinner so I just went into the on call room and I don't remember anything else, I was just exhausted since I hadn't slept well.....
I tried to remember what I did last night. My whole body froze when I felt lips touching my cheek... I jolted awake and said "Andy?!" He said "Morning...." I said "I'm confused.... what am I doing in your room?" Andrew said "Well after the drinks, I took you to my house and then we had some really hot sex" I was disappointed since I didn't remember that and said "Really..." he noticed my face, laughed and said "I'm messing with you.... if we had sex last night you would have remembered" he winked and I rolled my eyes and said "That still doesn't explain how I'm here...." He said "Well Lia, I had a late shift last night......"
Andrew's POV of last night
I was working till late.... After a 13 hour surgery, I didn't have the strength to go home... I went into an on call room, but I was shocked when I found my girlfriend sleeping there... I tried to remember if she was on call, but she wasn't in fact she had the day off... I shook her awake and Lia groggily said "Huh...." I said "Lia it's me Andrew... what are you doing here, I thought you were staying at Kara's" she said "I was.... But yesterday Kara had plans with Joey and I didn't want her to cancel because I'm some sort of charity case... I was gonna spend the night at the old house but I don't have a car so I didn't want to be a bother to anyone so after working yesterday I spend the night in this on call room." I was shocked and said "Have you eaten anything...." Lia nodded and said "I ate breakfast and late lunch...." I was sad and felt bad for her, she was avoiding Derek that she spent the last two nights in a uncomfortable bed and I said "You're coming home with me...." Lia said "Andy no... I don't need you to take care of me...." I said "Lia I want to...." Lia angrily said "I'm not some charity case Andrew, I don't need you to take care of me because you feel bad" I answered "You're not a charity case Lia, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna leave you here when I can take care of you" Lia said "You feel sorry because you feel guilty my dad called me a whore... because of the hickey YOU left" I said "Yes I feel bad about that because Derek shouldn't have said that, Yes I feel guilty but I...Care about you a lot! And I'm going to take care of my girlfriend because when you're going threw something I don't want you to hide or push me away! I want to be here to help you!!!" Lia was still angry, I thought she was gonna walk away but instead she wrapped her arms around me and said "I'm sorry.... and I um....Thank you...." I felt her relaxed immediately when I hugged her. I kissed her temple and said "Let's go...." I grabbed her bag, the hospital was half empty so in the hallway there was no one in sight and we left threw a back exit of the hospital and made our way to my car. After we got there, I placed her bag on the trunk and helped her in. I pulled out of the parking lot of Grey-Sloan and I started driving home at a slow pace since I didn't want any accidents to happen. After driving for a while, we got to the house and I noticed Lia had fallen asleep. I opened the car door, went to the trunk and got Lia's bag, I walked to the door of the house and opened it. I left her bag in the side and went to get her, I opened her car down and unbuckled her seatbelt. I picked her up bridal style and carried her upstairs to my room. I placed her down gently and took off her shoes and socks... I moved carefully trying not to wake her up and placed her under the covers so she wouldn't get cold. I turned on the air conditioner and turned off all the lights except a dim night light in case she had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I got my pajamas, toothbrush, underwear and hair products and headed to the guest room where I spent the night....
Lia said "Thank you for bringing me here... Did you sleep okay..." I said "Yeah I did... you?" I nodded and said "Do you remember anything from our discussion" Lia said "A bit but not everything.... I'm sorry you feel guilty for causing problems between my dad and I" I said "Lia yes I feel guilty... but you shouldn't feel like a charity case because of this... you should come to me when you need help I'm not gonna laugh or turn you away..." She smiled and said "Why did I get so lucky with you..." I smiled and said "I think we both got lucky..." She kissed my lips and I melted into kiss and started kissing her back.... Lia pulled away said "Thank you.... I'm gonna brush my teeth while you make breakfast..." I said "Deal...." I stood up and asked "Do you need anything..." Lia said "Where's my bag???" I pointed to the corner and said "I took it upstairs after I laid you down in the bed" I saw Lia nod, she stood up and I went downstairs to make breakfast.
Lia's POV
I watched as Andrew left the room, went to my bag, got some clothes and went to take a shower. As the water hit my face, I rubbed the sides of my head.... trying to remember what happened in the on call room.... I remember having an argument with him about him always trying to take care of me because he felt sorry for me.... but I was it really because of that... I just don't know why I don't let him take care of me.... I mean Carter did take care of me but not much as Andrew does.... I mean Carter took me hospitals, taught me techniques, bought me the most expensive and ugliest jewelry, I mean there pretty but their just to big. Carter was always busy and I always felt like he was embarrassed about me.... When Carter took my virginity it was suppose to be when I was ready and looking back I wasn't.... I did it to please him which was wrong of me since I didn't listen to my head. Pushing Carter aside, I finished taking a shower and put on my clothes. Since I had the day off, I had no idea what I was going to do. I headed downstairs to check on the food. I leaned against the wall and watched my boyfriend cooking while listening to some music on his AirPods, I smiled at the way he seemed to be cooking pancakes, while doing a small dance. He turned around to change the song but looked up and noticed me looking and he said "Enjoying the view?" I smirked and said "Hmm I was, the little dance was adorable" he said "Shut up...." I rolled my eyes and said "Can I have a grilled cheese" Andrew said "Hmm sure...I knew you liked it" I sat in the counter while he cooked and I said "Do you have work today?" Andrew answered "I do, but I leave like at 5:00 pm today" I nodded and said "Alright... I know this is a lot to ask but can invite Kara over.... I need to talk to her about something and I don't have a car with me..." Andrew turned around with a plate of pancakes with bacon and he placed it on the counter and he looked at me and said "Kara can come and you two can have your talk and whatever... and if you need to stay here tonight again I don't mind, all I ask is for one thing" I said "Sure what is it?" Andrew answered "I'm bringing dinner and after we eat, we can watch a movie" I said "A movie...." Andrew said "I don't care what movie, what matters is that your in the couch with me" I said "You're very cheesy" Andrew said "No I'm not..." I said "Mhmm.... make sure not to burn my grilled cheese babe, I'm going to get the table set" Andrew answered "Alright..." I began setting the table for breakfast while Andrew cooked. After 15 minutes he made our food and we began eating. Andrew said "It's funny how your enjoying the grilled cheese you hate" I rolled my eyes and said "Shut up don't get cocky" Andrew said "I knew you liked it" I rolled my eyes and kept eating my grilled cheese.
After eating breakfast, I was watching tv in the living room and Andrew said "Hmm I never pegged you to like Sofia the First" I said "I don't know what to watch.... What channel do you recommend?" Andrew said "Go to Netflix and watch whatever you want" I said "Alright...l'll see you when you get back" Andrew said "Okay.... Don't let Kara drink all of the liquor and don't drink much" I smiled and said "I know babe, we won't trash the place." He kissed me quickly and said "Bye babe!" I said "Bye!!!" and he went to work. I went to Netflix and kept scrolling until I clicked on Bridgerton since it was on Andrew's recommended.
After watching 2 episodes, the door rang and I paused it to answer the door. I saw Kara with drinks and she said "Soo your staying with DeLuca and still haven't jumped his bones" I rolled my eyes and said "Nice to see you too" I let her in and locked the door and we went into the living room and she said "Bridgerton hmm hot... You need to see Simon without a shirt he's definitely hot" I said "He's very hot..." Kara then said "Soo where are the glasses?" I said "In the kitchen I'll get them" I went towards the kitchen and got the glasses for our drinks, gave them to her and she served us some beer. After serving our drinks, we sat on the couch and Kara said "Soo what's the deal..." I said "With what..." Kara answered "You and Andrew have been dating for what almost 4 months why haven't you guys done it... can't he not perform....". I said "No its definitely not that..." Kara said "Then what is it" I answered "I don't know... I mean I want him.... badly but.... I feel like if I don't fulfill his fantasies or needs... then he will break up with me... I mean he's 25, Bello screwed him in the hospital all the time... he likes it rough and I like it rough too but I feel like I won't be enough for him... He will leave like Carter did because I wasn't good enough...." Kara sighed and said "First of all, your beautiful and you seem like you'd be good... Your sex drive must be high... considering your Derek and Meredith's daughter and all of the stories I've heard them I'm pretty sure your okay in that. Second of all, we've covered this Carter is an idiot your sexy and smart while he's an idiot for cheating and also the way Andrew looks at you... he cares about you so much., it's sickening his eyes get all shiny and he has this stupid grin he does it's very stupid" I smiled and said "His grin is adorable.... I just....It's probably stupid...." Kara sighed and said "When you are ready to do it with him then you will... he's being patient not many guys are like that *cough* Nick *cough*" I laughed and said "To be honest... I do want do it with him.... I just need to talk to him, I don't want to do it tonight obviously I want to fix things with my dad before anything" Kara said "When are you thinking of talking to Derek?" I said "Tomorrow it's been 4 days now..." Kara said "He misses you... he's all sad and I heard Dr. Pierce talk about how Andrew went against Derek and defended you...". I said "What?" she nodded and said "Yeah... he told off Derek about how he shouldn't have called you a whore" I said "He talked back to my dad?" Kara said "Yeah... Derek apparently fell quiet and Dr. Yang also agreed with him apparently" I said "Alright...." I changed the subject and said "Enough about me... You and Joey have been a little friendly" Kara said "It's just sex Lia...." I said "You sound like Nick... he's sleeping around again" Kara said "I know... he better not get syphilis" We both laughed and we sat on the couch making small talk.
After a few hours Kara headed home and I cleaned up the glasses and threw away the beer bottles. Kara drank a lot but she wasn't tipsy or anything and I drank only 2 beers so I was fine. Andrew opened the door and walked in when he saw me he smiled and said "Hey! So I bought some chinese, I bought a little of everything" I smiled and said "Perfect..." he placed the food on the table since I had already set the table and served us some water before he arrived. He went towards me and pecked my lips and said "Let's eat then." We sat on the table and we both ate a little of everything. After dinner, he washed the dishes while I threw away the empty containers of the food. After we finished cleaning up, we went upstairs to his room.... he was getting some pajamas since he was planning on staying in the guest room like last night and I said "Andy.... Do you have expectations?" Andrew looked confused and said "Expectations about what?" I said "Well when we do it..... I mean I don't want to disappoint I mean Sam must have been good... You guys did it in the on call rooms and skill labs....and I" Andrew face had softened and he said "When we do it there are no expectations, Sam and I well it was just sex, I mean I liked her but it was toxic.... She took pieces of me every time we got back together, it was off and on all the time and every time she took a piece of me breaking me slowly.... When we do it.... all I want is to show you how grateful I am to have you in my life Lia... that's all please don't compare yourself to Sam there's no comparison" I smiled and hugged him while he hugged me back and kissed the top of my head. After we stopped hugging I said "Can you stay with me tonight?" Andrew smiled and said "Thought you never ask" I laughed while he went to the bathroom to change into his pajamas. While he changed I went to my bag and got my pajamas. After a few minutes he came out of the bathroom and I went in and changed into my pajamas. I came out of the bathroom and Andrew was already laying in the bed waiting for me. I climbed into the bed and leaned into him laying my head in his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my temple and said "Good night Lia" I said "Good night Andy..." and we feel asleep.
The next day...
I woke up in his arms....He was staring at me while playing with my hair and I said "Why are you watching me sleep?" Andrew answered "Well you looked to comfortable and I didn't want to move you and also you looked adorable it's hard not to look" I rolled my eyes and he brushed my dark haired tresses from my neck and began planting kisses in my neck and my fingers went to his hair. Andrew looked at me and said "Did you sleep well?" I answered quickly saying "Mhmm" I smirked and said "Your breath sucks right now, no offense Andy" Andrew pouted and said "Now I'm hurt..." He slowly took the hair off my face putting behind my ears while he smiled. I touched his chin and said "Well we don't want to hurt your feelings would we...." Andrew just leaned in and kissed me, to be honest fuck his bad breath. Andrew is a really good kisser and right now his breath doesn't matter just his lips molding with mine in perfect sync. Our lips continued their sensual dance, Our tongues dueling in each other's caverns. I kissed his lips one more time before pulling away. He smiled and said "Breakfast?" I nodded and Andrew stood up while searching for a change of clothes and I said "Sure but wash your teeth first" Andrew looked and me said while smirking"You didn't seem to mind my halitosis while we were kissing" I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him which he dodged and he went to wash his teeth in the bathroom and take a shower. I decided to grab my phone and checked the messages my dad had left me. He really felt bad for what he did.... there was more than 40 messages.... I felt guilty for not answering he must be worried sick... I didn't notice Andrew coming out and rubbing my shoulders and said "You okay...." I sighed and said "Yeah... just my dad messaged me a lot and I didn't answer none of them" Andrew said "It will be okay... You'll both talk today and work things out..." I said "I guess..." Andrew said "Now what you can do is change and take a shower while I make us some food" I nodded and said "Can I help you cook today..." He said "You don't cook like Meredith right?" I said "I do not! I know how to cook..." Andrew said "Alright take a shower and I'll begin taking out the ingredients for whatever will make for breakfast" I nodded and headed quickly towards the shower.....
After I finished showering, I changed into my clothes and headed downstairs. Andrew said "Right I don't have a blow dyer" I told him "Andy it's fine... I normally let it air dry so I can get my curls" He nodded and said "I do like your curly hair" I was leaning into him and said "Hmm..... we have to cook breakfast..." I pulled away as he nodded and we went to the kitchen. Andrew asked "What are we cooking" I said "Hmm idk... what do we have?" Andrew said "Well we can make waffles, sandwiches or a frittata?" I asked "A frittata???" Andrew said "It's a dish made with eggs" I nodded and said "Okay, show me how you I can help" Andrew said "While I get what will put inside of it, you can crack 3 eggs in a bowl and stir them" I grabbed three eggs and began cracking them in a bowl. After I finished mixing them I handed them to Andrew, and he began cooking the frittatas while I observed since I didn't know how to make them. After he made us the frittatas, we sat down and ate our breakfast while making small talk. We just enjoyed each other's company, small part of me actually enjoyed waking up here in the morning. He's caring, intelligent and thoughtful, that's when I realized I trusted him.... But, after breakfast we went to the living room and watched some reality tv before he had to take me home.....
After watching reality tv, I was picking up my clothes and putting them in my bag. Andrew was helping me by getting the clothes I had washed and he said "Here are your clothes..." I just blurted "Is it bad that I rather stay here then go back home" Andrew looked at me said "It's not bad... I would love for you to stay here with me, but you need to try to make up with Derek..." I sighed and said "I know...." Andrew walked towards me and said "Your always welcomed here Lia and If you ever need to spend the night I have no problem..." Since I knew he was behind me, I leaned back and his arms wrapped around my frame as he held me and kissed my forehead. I sighed and said "My parents I haven't called them in 4 days...do you think they'll be mad...." I felt Andrew shook his head and he said "No.... all the anger and fear they had will fade when they see you because your safe and that's all that matters to them" I said "Okay....I'm gonna finish cleaning up" Andrew said "Okay...." he kissed my temple and stood up and walked to his closet to put on his shoes. I finished cleaning up and we both went to the car and headed towards my house.
After 1 hour, it was around 3:30 pm when we were close to the house. I told Andrew to park close to the trailer so my parents wouldn't see his car. Andrew said "Will you be okay....." I nodded and said "Thank you for everything" Andrew smiled and said "Anytime...." I leaned over and kissed him and mumbled said "Bye" Andrew kissed me once more before pulling away and said "Bye.... call me after talking to him" I nodded and got off the car. I waited for Andrew's car to pull out and leave and began walking to the house. I got my keys out and opened the door. No one was home so I went upstairs, placed my bag in my room and began putting all the dirty clothes in a pile to wash them and the clothes I didn't use back in the closet. After I finished, I decided to make dinner for my family since I had nothing better to do and made grandmas lasagna.
It was around 7 pm when I heard noise meaning they were here. The table was already set and the lasagna was heated. The door opened and I heard Bailey say "Mom didn't cook the food smells good" I heard Zola laughed and Ellis walked in and saw me immediately ran towards me saying "Lia!" I heard mom say "Sweetie Lia isn't-" she stopped talking when she and dad saw me. I said "Hi Elli-Bear" she hugged me while I hugged her and I said "Well I made dinner, it's grandmas recipe so it's good" Mom said "Thank you Lia..." she went towards me and while hugging me tightly said "I missed you...." she kissed my temple and I said "I missed you too mom" Zola said "Mom let's eat!" I looked at Dad and he looked like tired, his eyes had eye bags, he hasn't shaved and he looked like hasn't sleep in days. I gave him a small smile and I sat down and Bailey said "Alright let's see if your actually a good cook sis" I laughed and said "I'm better than mom" Mom laughed and said "Your suppose to all defend me" Zola laughed and Ellis said "That's daddy's job" Zola nodded and asked "Lia where were you the last couple of days" I said "Well Zozo I was working for the last 2 days and Yesterday and Today I had the day off and I was hanging out with my friends" Zola said "Ohhh.... being an intern is hard...." I said "Yeah...." I said "Zozo how your day been" Zola kept on talking telling me about her day then Bailey commented and so did Ellis and we just all talked catching up. Mom talked while Dad stayed quiet throughout dinner.
After dinner, Ellis said "Dad is time for you to tuck me in!" Bailey said "Yeah Dad it's time for bed" Zola said "I'm gonna catch up on some homework before bed" Mom said "Okay sweetie your bed time is in 30 minutes" Dad finally said "Okay Elli-Bear and Bails Let's take you to bed" then out of nowhere he picks them up and roars and Ellis giggles and Bailey laughs. I smiled and decided to help mom with the dishes. Mom was already washing and I said "Here....." Mom said "D-Dont do that again... I understand you were mad... and you have e-every right to be mad at your father...but for 4 days I had no idea what you were okay or where you were" I looked at my mom and I said "Okay....." Mom said "I was worried.... your dad didn't sleep for days he sat on that couch at night waiting to see if you would come home" I felt bad and said "I didn't mean to scare you mom...." Mom said "I know......" she looked at the door frame and said "I'll be upstairs I know you two have to talk" my mom kissed my forehead and I turned around to see the person I knew was behind me, Mom kissed Dad quickly and went upstairs. Dad and I were left alone and he said "Follow me...." I decided to follow him and we went outside to the deck. I was confused and he motioned me to sit down. My dad started talking saying "I have no excuse for what I said... it was wrong because you are every other thing than that.... I let my anger and fear take control of me and I called you names which hurt you and I deserve all the hate Im receiving. You didn't have a normal childhood, you didn't have the daddy daughter dances, the field days, clubs, prom, friends until you got to college. From school you went to daycare to hang out with Tuck. Then at the age of 10 you went away to college and did god knows what....." He cleared his throat and said "I didn't get the chance to beat your ex boyfriends ass, your mom and I never had the talk with you, because you were independent you've always been your own person..... I guess when I saw the hickey it shocked me because I didn't want someone taking advantage of my amazing little girl like that bastard Carter did...." I said "I know you mean good.... your my dad and I love you so much.... it hurt when you said it.... I know you were shocked to find a hickey... but it's not gonna be the last. I will make out sometime in the future with men or woman and I will have sex with them as well. And you can't stop it because it's part of growing up... you went threw it, I'm not gonna jump into bed with someone everyday like Uncle Mark but I will do it in the future with someone, I always use condoms and I'm on the pill better safe than sorry" my dad smiled and I continued "And if I do something reckless and end up pregnant you and mom will be the first to know...." Dad said "I'm sorry.... I am so sorry I didn't mean it.... Your anything but a whore I love you so much...." I said "I love you too Dad and I forgive you.... Bones break but they heal overtime, the pain sunk in but it healed with time...." Dad look at me and said "You've been in ortho too long next week I'm placing you on my service" I laughed and hugged him and he said "Your mother is inside and wants to cheer for Red Sox and what do we cheer for!" I said "The Yankees!!!" I heard mom opening the door saying "Red Sox!" Dad said "Yankees my team is superior and better than yours" Mom scoffed and said "In your dreams.... Red Sox!" They both kept discussing their teams and it was very funny until I interrupted saying "Children there's a better way to settle this" Dad said "How????" I went inside and got 2 suture kits and gave each of them one and said "First to do 20 sutures wins go!" They both immediately began suturing as I watch both of their techniques while laughing. It was nice to be home with my family, I had missed them, while my parents were on their 8th suture I texted Andrew saying "Everything is good over here, talk to you tomorrow good night♡︎" And after a few minutes, I just laughed when my mom finished suturing my dad saying "Only by one! I call rematch" while my mom died of laughter. It was fun to spend time together, they had a rematch which my dad had won making my mom mad. They were going to go again but I told them it was late and I was going to sleep, they kissed my forehead and I went upstairs to my room. I entered my room, changed into my pjs and laid down in my bed missing Andrew's body pressed against mine while we slept.
