After a month of training and preparation for the big title fight both fighters were in prime fighting condition as in just 22 days Lincoln Loud and Bruno Martin will meet in the Pontiac Silverdome for the undisputed WBC,WBA, IBF heavyweight championship of the world and both were really looking forward to this titanic clash but also the public and the press wanted this big time rematch and it seemed like the fight was destined to happen or so everyone thought it was. oh how life can be cruel even to our antagonist in the story
Speaking of the Undisputed leader of the heavyweight division, Bruno Martin was in the middle of a sparring session with sparring partner with young amateur fighter and the potential future of the heavyweight division Riddick Bowe who recently missed the 1987 Pan American Games due to an injury, he was now preparing for the Olympic trials against nemesis Robert Salters who beat him a year earlier by tko as well as their controversial split decision draw in their second meeting six months ago and now this third fight for the right to go to the summer Olympics next year ment the world to Bowe not only for a chance at redemption but also if he once again fails to achieve salvation it means he won't be going to the Olympics which for fighters is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Now back with Martin and Bowe the two were sparring for the 23rd round before Bowe landed a brutal left hook to Martin's nose which caused heavy swelling as well as some bleeding despite his protective padded sparring helmet which stopped the sparring match and got the trainers to step in and assess the damage to the champ's nose and the doctor confirmed their worst fears Bruno Martin suffered a broken nose and they knew he couldn't fight in this condition and the doctor estimated it would take a month for his nose to heal and the team decided to try to postpone the fight at least one month
Meanwhile with Lori she was at home cleaning the attic and then she found some of Lincoln's old toys and comics and old video games among them was his beloved stuffed rabbit Bun Bun and seeing him in particular brought back so many memories of her brother playing with this toy and although he was annoying with it was great seeing him smile with that rabbit of his. So she decided to keep the doll for now as she has some plans to get Lincoln's forgiveness

Tyrell Biggs beat Sammy Scaff by second round knockout before that win he lost to Michael Dokes by Unanimous decision
Michael Dokes got back to winning ways after beating Tony Tubbs by Majority Decision and also defeating Tyrell Biggs by a close unanimous decision
Mike Tyson fought Renaldo Snipes and knocked him out in the fifth round as he prepared for his big rematch against James Bonecrusher Smith
Tim Witherspoon knocked out Bernado Mercado and then he followed it up with a unanimous decision over Trevor Berbick in the seventh round to stay on his rise up the ranks
Meanwhile with Carl The Truth Williams he got back to winning ways with a Split decision win against James Buster Douglas and he was now done fighting for the year but he did set up his next fight as he will be battling Trevor Berbick early in 1988
Meanwhile with the rest of the world when news broke of Bruno Martin's injury and of the fight will be postponed for a month sent shock waves across the world especially for one man this news was disheartening. For the number one challenger Lincoln, the news was the worse piece of news for him as he was really looking forward to this fight and now Martin was finding ways to get out of this fight and that really pissed him off
After discussing it with his wife he decided to call a press conference for the 8th of September right now he was at the gym sparring with his sparring partners Lynn Jr included although she was a pain in the ass each and every day and loved to piss him off during sparrings by calling him week and as well as insulting his style and his ability to punch we tune in to one of their sparring sessions
7 September 1987
Lynn was attacking him in the corner as Lincoln boxed back but he was getting frustrated as Lynn kept ducking avoiding his brutal punches as well as firing her own shots at him which unlike her brother's punches some of these are landing flush and hard on his head and body and she already gave him a black eye today and to add insult to injury she was humiliating him in front of the gym and questioning his manhood as a fighter which got Lincoln to take the fight to center ring and avoid the corners
Lynn Jr: You hit worse than a girl Lincoln ( dodges a right hand) I'm sure even Lily when she was a baby hit harder than you!
( Everyone in the gym started laughing)
Lincoln lands one good left cross on Lynn's jaw as well as some body attacks but she only laughs them off before firing her punches at him which he dodges
Lynn Jr: Is that all you got? I expected better from someone who used to be the heavyweight champion of the world and that person wants the title back not the crap I'm getting here ( takes a clipping left hook from Lincoln to the jaw) Weak!!! How are you gonna beat Bruno Martin with those powder puff punches? Huh
Lincoln decided to get serious he needed to put Lynn Jr in her place as he started ducking her punches and backing off trying to make her get frustrated and it works after a while as she chases him all around the ring
Lynn Jr: fight me like a man stinkoln and stop running since when have you turned into Ali?
Lincoln: I used to be his sparring partner in the 1970s what do you expect and ( Sarcasm) since your the superior athlete why can't you catch me? ( he starts landing jabs on her face repeatedly)
Lynn Jr: Why you little!
After a playing around with her for two minutes he decided to end it as he caught Lynn coming in as she threw a right hook towards him but he ducked and made her miss before he hit her with an uppercut which dropped almost immediately after it collided with her chin
Lynn moaned as she was dazed and confused for some moments
Lynn Jr: What...what in the heck happened?
Lincoln: You got schooled!
Lynn growled in irritation
Lynn Jr: I want a rematch! That was a fluke knockdown!
Lincoln: Wish I could but I got a press conference to attend see you goodnight everyone
Later on the following day Lincoln was addressing the issue at hand regarding Bruno Martin
Lincoln: There are a lot of People coming here, plane loads of them with tickets they bought with their hard earned money to watch the fight on the 21st but now the bum broke his nose and ruined everything and noe it's just a big mess, they should let us fight on the date instead of postponing if the fight stopped on a cut anywhere near the nose area then we have to agree to fight again in six months just so we can get this thing on
Reporter: But the doctor said he is in no condition to fight for a few weeks what should we do now?
Lincoln: Well then send Mike Tyson over we'll fight him, send James Bonecrusher Smith we'll fight him send Michael Dokes send anyone over we'll fight them I'm putting out an open challenge to anyone in the top 10 to take me on the 21-24 September and it has to be in Michigan on in neighbouring States no further away than that
Reporter 2: Lincoln isn't that a dangerous thing to do going in to such a big title fight to be risking your health and potentially your title shot taking on whoever accepts your challenge?
Lincoln: At this point I got nothing to lose and there's nothing more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose press conference over
He walked out
