Richa's phone was buzzing on the table in front of her, but her attention was somewhere else. She was completely lost in her thoughts.
"Richa... Richaa "
Rudra called
But Richa didn't react
"RICHAAA"
Rudra called a little louder than before
"hmm.. "
Richa asked, a little disoriented
"Your phone is ringing "
Richa looked at her phone and suddenly her face brighten up. She hurriedly picked up the call and walked away to the garden.
Rudra was surprised by her reaction, and he was curious about the caller now.
Rishi walked in and sat beside Rudra.
He looked tired and tensed.
"What happened ?? Why the long face ?? "
Rudra asked softly, he doesn't like it when ever Richa or Rishi are disturbed and upset. They are the most important people in his life and he wanted to see them happy and smiling. He was ready to do anything to make them happy.
"My stupid Boss !!! He literally made my life hell "
Rishi said frustratingly
Rudra turned towards him and pat his shoulder
" What did he do now?? "
" He is asking me to attend the meeting on his behalf in Bangalore next week "
"Why ??"
" Because his wife's sister is coming next week and he has to attend her with his wife "
"Oh, but he can do that after the meeting too na, it is only a day long meeting "
"Yes!! That's what I suggested him to do too, but he is such a 'Scared Cat' type of husband. Can't even say 'it's a important meeting ' in front of his wife"
Rishi said in a annoyed voice
"Sometimes I literally want to pull out all of his hairs and make him bald"
Rishi said with gritted teeth
Rudra smiled
"Calm down Tiger.... Calm down, you won't like it if you loose your job, believe me "
Rishi nodded dejectedly
"That's the only reason of that stupid man still having his hairs stick to his head "
Rudra laughed at his bickering
"Don't be upset about it like that "
"There is nothing happening which makes me happy either "
Rishi said irritatingly
"Come on I will give you a tight hug to make you happy "
Rudra said opening his arms wide
"That's not enough to make me happy"
Rishi said closing his eyes in frustration
"Oh!!! OK I will give you a kiss too, if that's make you happy "
Rudra said with a mischievous smile
Rishi eyes jerked open at Rudra's offer
He looked at him and noticed the mischief in his eyes
"OK "
Rishi played along
He leaned towards Rudra and opened his arms too.
Rudra engulfed him in his arms and patted his back
When he pulled away from the hug Rishi looked at him accusingly
"You promised me a kiss too "
Rishi said with a funny pout
Rudra laughed out loud
"You are really desperate.... Haan... "
Rishi crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked at Rudra
"Are you backing away from your promise?? "
Rudra stood up from the sofa
" if you are really desperate then you have to take it, I won't give in easily "
and Rudra sprinted away
Rishi run after him too.
When Richa entered the room she was shocked.....
Rishi was chasing behind Rudra and Rudra was running around the room, jumping on sofa and center table, trying to dodge Rishi.
They were laughing happily and shouting loudly, looking like some school kids.
Richa couldn't stop her smile watching them running playfully after each other.
Suddenly Rudra saw Richa and ran to her, he stood behind her holding her shoulders, trying to make her stand between Rishi and himself
"Richa save me, please... "
Rudra said still trying to dodge Rishi's hand
"What is happening here ?? Will anyone tell me ??"
Richa said laughing at their child like behavior
"He is teasing me again and again, now I will show him what I can do "
Rishi said trying to catch Rudra behind Richa
"What he is teasing you about ??"
Richa asked trying to make Rishi stand still in front of her
"He said he will give me a kiss to make me happy "
Rishi said eyeing Rudra sternly
Richa turned towards Rudra
"You did what..??!! "
Rudra held his hand up and tried to make it clear
"He was upset because of his boss, I offered a hug but he said it's not enough so I said I will kiss him if it makes him happy. I was only trying to cheer him up, I didn't know he will take it seriously "
Rudra tried to clear his point
"He is just messing with me, I will show him what it means to mess with me, Richa you just step aside, it's between me and him"
Rishi said walking past her
Rudra ran to the garden and Rishi sprint behind him.
Richa watched them with a smile on her face.
She prayed to God for keeping their Friendship intact even after knowing the truth.
She wanted her Rudra back as soon as possible, but now she wants this Rudra to be happy too.
Was it possible ??
She doesn't know.
At the dinner table Rudra remember the phone call Richa received in the evening.
"Richa who called you in the evening?? "
Rudra asked nonchalantly
"My friend, Rashmi "
Richa said smiling
Rishi looked at her and was going to say something but Rudra cut in between
"Is she very close to you?? "
Rishi remembered that he can't talk about Rashmi in front of Rudra so he stay quiet.
"Yeah she is my very close friend, we were working together in Delhi "
She said with a smile
"She is coming to Hyderabad next week, with her husband "
Richa told them
"I asked her to stay here"
She looked at Rishi
Rishi smiled at her but stayed quite
"Good, you will have more time to catch up if she stays here "
Rudra said happily
Richa nodded her head
"Yeah I have lots to catch up with her, we hadn't seen each other in last two years "
Rudra smiled at her. He was happy to see her happy.
Later that night.....
Richa was cleaning the kitchen
Rishi walked in, holding a water bottle in his hands.
"Rashmi is coming "
Rishi said while filling up the bottle from the water purifier
"hmm... Next week "
Richa replied
"I am happy that she is coming next week "
"why ??"
Richa asked
"Because I have to go to Bangalore for a meeting next week, I didn't want to leave you alone here and I was so stressed about it but now I am relieved "
"Oh, you didn't tell me about the meeting ??"
Richa said
"My boss was going to attend the meeting before, he informed me just this evening that I have to go instead of him"
"Ok, when will you be back ??"
Richa asked
"it's only a day long meeting, I will be back by the next morning "
Rishi replied, turning towards her
"How are you going ?? by Train or by Flight?? "
Richa asked again
" By car, I will be back soon if I go by car "
"NO, please don't... "
Richa said with a panic
"Richaaaa"
Rishi was confused by her panicked face
"Noooo...... Not Again... "
Rishi walked closer and held her shoulders
"No please don't go by car, it's not safe to drive at night "
Richa said with trembling voice
Rishi understand why Richa was behaving like this, she remembers the accident, which made their life miserable, a year ago.
"OK I will go by flight, OK... Don't worry "
Rishi said bending low, looking into her eyes
A tear flowed down from her eyes and she hugged him tightly hiding her face in his chest.
Rishi folded his arms around her shoulders and hugged her to him more tightly.
A sob broke loose from Richa's lips and Rishi pull away from her
He held her chin and raised her face upwards
Tears were flowing down from her eyes and she was biting her lower lip to hold back her sobs
There was so much pain and fear in her eyes that it clenched his heart
Rishi wiped her tears with his thumbs and held her face between his hands
"I promise Richa, I won't drive my car late at night again and I am going to book a flight, first thing in the morning "
Rishi said softly
Richa nodded her head, biting her lip harder
Rishi looked in to her eyes, leaned over and kissed her temple softly, then her eyes, cheeks and lastly her lips
Richa whimpered when Rishi pressed his lips harder on hers, her hands fisting in the back of his T-shirt, Rishi pulled her closer and deepens the kiss.
