"That's disappointing.. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you Jotaro, there's always a second application- or third.." I comfortingly smiled at my long time friend, Jotaro Kujo. I've known him since my third year in high school, and we haven't really left each other's sides since the faithful day we met. I've always been happy to help him with problems but I'm not good with job applications... Specially since I didn't have trouble getting hired where I work. "Yeah... I can't loose hope yet," Jotaro sighed and I nodded. "Well of course! I can't believe those companies didn't hire you! You're such a good friend I think you'd be fine at anything!" For an instance, a rare, small, smile appeared on his face. "That's nice of you to say." I smiled back at him before looking down at my watch. "Oh no... Sorry Jotaro, I promised Ayaka I'd be home before 8:30... It's already 8:00.. I need to go." I slightly waved before turning around and starting to head in the direction of me and my wife's house. "Can I walk you home?" I heard Jotaro ask as he grabbed my arm. It freaked me out for some reason. "No, I'm good! Marina's probably waiting for you too." He let go of my arm. "Later, Kakyoin." I once again started the walk to my home.
After ten minutes of walking, only about 15 minutes from my house I heard footsteps behind me. The Autumn leaf's making a slight crunching noise. I didn't think much of it. There are many small animals around here. That thought soon disappeared when I realized the footsteps where only following me. They were not going in any other direction nor scurrying in front of me to hide. I turned around. No one was there. I heaved a deep sigh before continuing to walk home.
"Wow.. I'm impressed, you got here just one minute before the deadline." I heard the elegant voice of my wife call out. "Yeah.. Sorry, I was talking with Jotaro and lost track of time." I said as Ayaka walked towards me and gave me a hug. "That's a believable excuse.." "Nono it's the truth!" I laughed a little and smiled at her. "Uh-huh whatever you say sweetheart." She smiled back at me. "C'mon.. I don't want dinner to get cold so move your ass~"
The Next Day
~★~
Not even 15 minutes into my walk to work I heard those same footsteps from the day before. This time I just chalked it up as my imagination. It's just cliché horror movie shit. The main character getting stalked for a few days... Does nothing about it.... Then boom! Gets kidnapped or most of the time, murdered. I don't watch much horror though.... My heart's very uh- gentle. I can't handle that stuff. I am not soft or whatever, if that's whatever your thinking. I just get scared easily.
"Hey Kakyoin." I turned to see Jotaro infront of me. "Ah! Where'd you come from, Jotaro?" I laughed a little. He'd startled me. Why hadn't I seen him when I was walking? I mean- Well... Maybe he's just fast. "I was just hanging around and saw you. So I wanted to say Hi," He said. "Ohhh!! Well, hi! How are you today?" I smiled at him. "I'm alright, how about you?" "Oh... I'm alright as well. Just upset, I may or may not have scared myself on my walk here because I thought I heard footsteps behind me." He stared at me for a moment. His green.. blue? Eyes stared soullessly at me. He was starting to freak me out. "Jotaro?" "Yeah? Sorry, I zoned out for a moment. Hearing footsteps behind me would creep me out too." I slightly smiled and laughed. "Oh? I thought nothing scared you Jotaro!" He smiled at me for a moment. "Yeah... Well some things scare me." "Oh yeah? Like what?" "None of your business." I glared at him and elbowed him childishly. He smirked at me. "Well... I need to get to work soon, see you later Jotaro." He nodded and slightly waved before I started walking past him.
"Sounds like a great horror movie. 26 year old man thinks he's getting followed at night. But the twist- is that he was never being followed!" My other friend, whom I also work with, Polnareff pointed and smiled at me after I told him about the footstep thing. "I'd watch it." I slightly smiled back at him. "Even if nothing happened, I'm sure you would still piss yourself halfway through." "Hey!!! That's not true!!" I shouted at Polnareff. He snickered before turning around and walking away. I haven't known him as long as I've known Jotaro. I met Polnareff when I started working here, which was about- 1 year ago? He's been an asshole since the day I met him. But hey... He's my friend. It's his job- well... Not really but you know what I mean.
Those God damn footsteps.... Is this still just my imagination?! I sighed and started to calm myself down. I thought to myself. "No... I'm just overreacting.. it's nothing." It's just weird noises right? Maybe it's not even footsteps.... Maybe it's the wind? I feel so compelled to turn around right now.. should I? What if it's nothing and I am actually just worrying myself for no reason? I sighed quietly before slowly turning around. What's the harm in it?
My eyes widened in fear as soon as I turned around and fully noticed the familiar figure behind me...

Hello, it's me, Misa! How have you all been? I hope you've been alright. And I hope you thought this oneshot was alright. Haha- I'm sorry I say that so much- I get really insecure. And yes, some of you may have noticed I deleted some oneshots. Mostly because I didn't like how they turned out. Also- I didn't mean to delete "Drunk Confession" I liked that one- that was on accident. So I'll rewrite it.
Anyways, hope you all have great days.
Arrivederci my Crusaders~
