continuation of "The Lunar Attempt" (snippet no. 40)
The unfamiliar feel of excitement tugs at his lips. Before long, the Moon releases all control, and a full smile spreads across his face. In tune with the refreshing lightness in his chest, his glow intensifies, filling the entire length of the dark hall with a forceful effervescent beam.
Even the shadows lingering around Meteorite become a hazy memory.
"Amused, are you, sire?"
"Very much."
She raises a single ashen eyebrow.
He opens his mouth to tease a secret he knows himself when tremors course through the ground beneath them.
"Where is this coming from?" Meteorite looks to the Moon, whose gaze is focused beyond the shuddering walls.
"Earth."
