Day 4 of the 31 days of Christmas prompts!

Prompt 4: Sick in bed

Chris knew that you hadn't been feeling all that well recently. He just assumed it was a changing of the seasons cold that you caught. But the sickness didn't go away as quick as you two thought so of course you decide to go to the doctors. You wait for almost an hour to be seen. You should've brought something to do since you had to wait so long but Chris made it entertaining especially since the waiting room was dead silent. You tried to keep your laugher to a minimum as to not disturb any of the other people sitting around you both. But when Chris whispered a specific joke in your ear you couldn't help but let out a loud laugh. This causes Chris to crack up as well, people quickly turning their heads to look at you two in disgust. You both didn't pay any mind as you were too busy laughing your asses off at each other.

You almost believed you were going to get kicked out for disturbing the peace. Eventually you both compose yourself, snickering to each other occasionally until a nurse calls for you. "Y/F/N Y/L/N?" She questions, looking around the room for you.

You stand up and make your way over with Chris close behind. She takes you to a small room where you'll get examined. You hop up onto the bed while Chris sits in the chair in the corner. He watches intently as the nurse takes your vitals, scribbling them down on a yellow notepad. After asking you an unnecessary amount of questions she leaves, telling you the doctor will be in shortly.

Shortly your ass. It took almost twenty minutes for a grey haired man in a white lab coat to come in. He didn't seem very convincing. But whatever, you felt shitty so if this was the best you were going to get then so be it. He asks you more questions and you're starting to get pissed off. You just want them to tell you what's wrong with you and let you go on your way.

After more waiting they tell you that It's the flu. Of course you get it the one year you decide not to get a flu shot. 'I'll be fine' you said 'I'm strong' you said. Boy were you wrong. This sucks.

Chris wasn't the most fond of sickness, germs in general weren't particularly something he wanted to fester in. But for you he'd do practically anything. That included sitting very close to a sick person, something that would usually make him gag.

Once you two get home, he carries you to bed since you looked pretty weary as you got out of the car. He tucks you in gently, kissing your forehead and telling you he'll be right back before walking out of the room.

You felt pretty bad that Chris would have to take care of you all day. You felt even worse because you knew he hated germs. You almost wanted to push him away and tough it out yourself so he wouldn't get sick himself. So that's what you did. For the first hour you successfully kept him away, even with all the protest he threw your way. But as soon as he came in with a bowl of soup, you knew you couldn't keep him away for all that long. He knew just the way to your heart, food.

He sat on the edge of the bed with a small smile as he watched you eat. Even sick, you were beautiful to him. Once you finished he put the bowl on the side table and jumped into bed with you.

"Chris no!" You shout, trying to push him away so he doesn't get sick.

He chuckles and pins your arms above your head only moving so he's closer than before. "Fuck it." He mumbles to himself, totally not caring about getting sick at this point. He leans down and kisses you softly.

Even though you feel like shit, and you really don't want your beloved boyfriend to get sick, you couldn't help but kiss back. He pulls away moments later with a huge smile.

"Germs be damned."
