Peter led MJ and Gwen to the center of the open market where there were a lot of people. MJ got closer to Gwen trying to hide from the crowd.
Gwen: Hey Pete, where's that thing you talked about.
Peter: Over there
The brunette boy points over to bright red neon sign that said 'Public Karaoke'
Gwen: 'Public Karaoke' *Gasp* Oh my goodness, that is a great idea!
MJ: *Nervous* B-But I have to sing in f-front of all these people?!
Gwen: Come on MJ! Doing this will be a big help for getting rid of your shyness.
MJ: *Nervous* B-B-But I don't know if I'm ready to take such a big step.
The brunette boy grabs ahold of the shaking redhead, upon connect with his hand, she stopped and looked at him as he looked at her with a smile.
Peter: Hey, it's okay to be afraid. But you'll never get over your fears if you take baby steps. You just have to take a leap of faith. And I'll be there singing with you.
She looked down at the floor with a blush and then slowly looked up and nodded her head. Peter walked her over while still holding her hand. He went up to the machine and choose a song for a duet.
He handed her a microphone and got one for himself, MJ stood on Pete's right and they both got ready as the soft piano began to play.
Peter:
"What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down"
MJ:
"What's going on in that beautiful mind
I'm on your magical mystery ride
And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright"
Gwen was on the side with a smile as soon as MJ had begun singing.
Peter:
"My head's under water
But I'm breathing fine
You're crazy and I'm out of my mind"
Peter/MJ:

Many people stopped and turned to the pair as they sung and more and more people stopped what they were doing to listen to the soft but beautiful voices.
MJ:

Even when you're crying you're beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood"
Peter:
You're my downfall, you're my muse
My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues
I can't stop singing, it's ringing, in my head for you"
Peter/MJ:

Once the song ended both the pair let out a long sigh and turned around to be met by their audience applauding. This scared MJ a bit with so many people looking at her, but Pete's grip tighten and she turn to look at him smiling at her.
Peter: Great job MJ, I knew you could do it.
She returned the smile as she knew that she had taken a big step on conquering her fears.
