"Hi big boy!" Wild yelled, wrapping her arms around Damask. We had finally got back to Minril City to get my things and Wild got her moment to reunite with the weasel while I did so. The warp weasel looked down at the fairy holding him with a soft disinterest and I almost laughed. Damask clearly didn't care that much about being away from Wild.

My attention was drawn quickly when a thin tail slapped me in the face. I turned my head quickly and swatted at the flying creature. The three brothers danced around my head annoyingly, way more excited to see me than I was them.

"Okay c'mon, I want to show you my house," Wild said, dragging me to Damask and basically pushing me on. Instead of jumping on with me, her wings unfurled and she lifted herself into the air. I clicked the reins on Damask and sent him after the flying fairy. I was surprised to see her so energetic after the events that just transpired but it seemed the other fairies were going on with their day as the normal fairies flooded back into the area to clean up and organize the fallen.

We pushed our way through the trees at an easy pace, only needing to jump through one portal. Wild looked back periodically to make sure we were following and each time, we sent each other smiles. Though I could see the weariness in hers.

We passed by a couple houses, each looking different than the other. Some were hollows in the ground, some were platforms built in the trees, some were just regular cabins. Wild let her wings flap out and dropped into my lap as I slowed Damask. I grabbed onto her side and held her close as she pointed a small finger towards a cabin built on a platform on a large oak tree.

"That's my brothers house."

"You have a brother?" I questioned, I hadn't even thought about Wild having any family.

"His name is Ocean," Wild informed. I hummed in understanding and watched as the tall fairy with blue hair I saw days earlier landed on the porch before I lost sight of him behind the leaves. I had so much to learn about Wild.

Wild took the reins from my hands and kept Damask walking until we reached a large clearing surrounded haphazardly by a low wooden fence. The fence was broken in places where trees grew, acting as parts of the fence itself.

In the middle, near the back, a huge red wood tree stood proud. As we got closer, I could make out various windows and doors along it. There were balconies attached, walls built up, and at the bottom there looked to be rooms built around the base.

Wild slid off and turned, waving her hand at the tree. "This is my home," She announced.

I joined Wild on the ground and admired the tree. Lots of work must have gone into making it the way it was.

"It could be your home too, if you'd like?" Wild mumbled, slipping her hand into mine. I smiled and turned to see her eyeing the ground with a blush on her cheeks.

"I'd love to stay here with you Wild," I said, leaning over and pressing a kiss into her hair. Wild smiled before she began pulling me forward. Damask stayed in the front yard while Wild dragged me around the tree.

I looked around the backyard that was significantly smaller than the front. There wasn't much to see. Other than a giant plant. I followed the large stem up until I was almost staring straight up at the sky. The venus flytrap was so large it blocked the sun from my eyes.

I quickly took a step back, dragging Wild with me. Wild swatted my hands off of her and approached the plant without any caution. She placed a hand on the plant's large stem and smiled up at it.

"This is Venny. He protects the tree while I'm away," She explained. She only smiled at my shocked expression.

"Is Venny safe to be around?" I questioned, refusing to step any closer to the large man-eating plant.

"Of course he is. I raised him myself. He listens to me," She boasted, throwing one last look at the oversized plant before leading me into the house through a back door. Wild opened the door, and with one glance I saw it had no lock. That would be changing very soon.

We entered into the building built around the base of the tree. The base of the tree was clearly visible on the inside, situated near the middle of the large room.

"This area is the kitchen." She gestured around at the counters, stove, and magical ice box. Cabinets were placed above the counters and a four person table was situated nearby. She grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the kitchen and into a room with a couple chairs and a small couch. A fireplace was unlit in a corner of the room with the seating circling it. I knew I saw some kind of chimney structure outside.

"Sitting room obviously. Over there is a bathroom." I followed her finger to a room situated in the other corner.

"Good to know," I commented. She turned towards a set of stairs that went up and around the trunk of the tree. I followed her up to a second floor and examined the relatively empty space. A couple shelves lined the walls and four doors decorated the room.

"That's an empty room. Another empty room. That also is an empty room. Surprise, surprise, that is another empty room," She joked. Or at least I hope it was a joke. How long had she been in this house alone?

She led me up another set of stairs and showed me a second bathroom and a couple more empty rooms. I went to go up the stairs again but she stopped me.

"The next floor just has my room on it."

"Don't you mean our room?" I said, throwing an arm around her shoulders. She blushed and quickly rushed up the stairs. I laughed and took the stairs two at a time to catch up with her quick steps.

A small room was at the top of the stairs with a single door that had been left open by Wild when she entered. A tiny table sat next to the doorway, almost overlapping it, with an ugly blue lamp sat on top. I'd never tell Wild that though.

I stepped through the threshold and took in the decent sized room. There was a large bed situated along the back wall covered in warm-looking furs and wool blankets. The bed looked messy, like Wild had thrown the blankets off in a rush. It would make sense that she had.

There were a few shelves hanging around the bed along with a dresser, mirror, and chair set up to the left side. There was a nightstand on both sides of the bed; only one side looked used. There was also a large wardrobe on the right side of the room. There were a few random articles of clothing hanging off the slightly open door of the wardrobe and most of the shelves were filled.

"Do you like the house?" Wild nervously, giving me a sheepish look.

"It's perfect, Sunshine."
