We focus too much on the color
Then the content
Darks are lovely
So are creams
Black women should be proud
Beauty is what kills us
Striving for thing unattainable
Seems to be the status quo
We pick each other apart
Instead of lifting up our sisters
Kitchen slaves were no better then field slaves
No matter the location they were all in bondage
Colors are abundant
And so are we
So never forget
We're all queens
