Four walls keep a free spirit
From the outside world
"To give you a childhood." The cage-master coos.
"To protect you." She insists.
Protection?
From whom?
You can't protect someone from what was bond to happen.
Protection?
From whom?
You needed it more then me
Your decisions from your past are placed upon me
Why? I have no idea
I'm not you and he's not daddy
So why persecute us as though we've sinned against God by meeting and finding someone we could love.
God, the misery of being a canary in this ornate cage.
