I was still unsure at the whole situation over the next morning. The fact that Riley and Haley hadn't shut up about Chris over the last two days, didn't help my case. When I dropped them off, I enjoyed the silence on the car after their constant chit-chat and exclamations on how awesome he was. They were about to drive me to the edge, especially since I knew I was bound to see him in a few minutes.

What was I going to say? Hi Chris. We should get laid and get it over with?

Good grief.

That still sounds as awful as yesterday.

I parked next to the coffee shop with ten minutes to spare. Hurrying up, I left the car to get a coffee to-go as I thought about today's class assignment. Michael had sent us an email asking us to join him at our classroom. He wanted to explain some technical issues he'd seen arise in our projects. It was going to be a bunch of nonsense to me, anyway. I could never understand all those technical terms.

Either way, I had to go because it was part of our class requirements. It was also a good thing, because since I'd been all worried up with my friend's suggestions, I hadn't come up with an idea for today's project.

The inside of Emerson's College was quite edgy. In truth, I hadn't noticed how big the campus was. I thought it was just one building, but in fact there were several. My eyes roamed around the main hallway, next to the admission's office where I had to ask again where my classroom was. I passed next to various pictures of ex alumni celebrities, like the comedian Josh Lino or makeup entrepreneur Bobbi Brownie. I had no idea they'd been students here. It totally made sense why Chris was already working as a Sci-fi tech, then. He was clearly attending the right university for him.

When I finally found the classroom, after aimlessly wondering around different floors, the class had already started. I pushed the door, trying to shrink in and pass unnoticed, without many luck.

"Glad you could join us, Farah." Michael said right after I crossed through the threshold. He looked as fashionable as always, all dressed in a black suit with a dark color shirt underneath.

"Sorry. I got lost," I grinned sheepishly as he gestured me to take a seat.

On the front row, Caitlin was seated next to Tyrell. Her blond hair was down and framing her face. She smiled at me before I gazed around. The rest of the class was scattered on the last rows. Chris on the very last seat, right on the corner. Which was a good thing, since I didn't want to seat next to him, anyway. I took the free spot next to Caitlin.

Michael continued with his lecture. He was holding a camera and pointing the different buttons it had. He said something about manual and automatic focusing and more about exposure and back light. In my defense, I tried to pay attention for my parent's sake, more than my own. They were paying for the course and I had to learn something.

Grabbing my camera from my backpack, I started to look for the symbols he was referring to. Phew. I'm on the right track!

Finally, he stopped talking and encouraged us to make questions. More than two of my classmates approached him with their camera in their hands. I felt like I had just learned a gazillion things, so I didn't dare come closer to him. I took out my notebook and scribbled down the symbols he'd given us and their meaning in terms on how they could affect my pictures. In my own words, of course. We still had an hour left, so he sent us out there to take our daily pic.

I had no idea what book could work out as my inspiration, so I took my time putting everything away. Just as I was zipping my backpack, my phone bell's chimed at the same time someone else's in the room. I looked up to see Chris behind me, taking out his phone. This sounded like Cassie and Nathan.
