Broke

I groaned when I heard my phone made a noise. I won't actually bother to even check it, but it keeps on ringing and I badly need and want to sleep, but I can't freaking sleep because of its annoying ringtone!
The ringtone was not actually annoying, but it keeps on ringing and it was bothering my sleep! Gosh!
I was still closing my eyes while I was proning on my bed when I extended my hand to take my phone that was on the side table. When I reached it, I immediately answered the call while still closing my eyes.
"H-Hello?" I answered huskily.
My eyes were still closed and I can't think of anything, but to sleep. Goodness. Anong oras na ba ako nakatulog? Madaling araw na yata.
Hindi ko na kasi namalayan ang oras dahil sa masyadong tutok sa pagpipinta hanggang sa makaramdam ako ng pagod. Hindi pa rin iyon tapos at sa tingin ko ay ipagpapatuloy ko lang iyon mamaya o bukas kapag nakabawi na ako ng tulog.
"Did I wake you up?" The other line asked with its soft and gentle voice.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked with my morning voice. "It's so early to call! So annoying."
"It's Esther, Francine. And what? Early? Are you kidding me? It's already one in the afternoon!"
Halos mahulog na ako mula sa aking pagkakadapa nang marinig ang sinabi ng nasa kabilang linya. Ala una na?! What the hell!
"Oh my gosh, no!" I exclaimed as I saw that it was really already in one in the afternoon. Oh my gosh!
"Can you still make it here? I can tell them that you're not feeling well." Tanong ni Esther sa kabilang linya na agad ko namang sinagot.
"Hindi, kaya ko. Sasama ako." Pinal na sambit ko habang kinakamot ang aking ulo. "Give me ten minutes."
"Do you want me to fetch you?" He asked willingly.
"Ah, hindi na. Magpapahatid na lang ako sa driver namin." Sambit ko habang naglalakad papasok ng banyo.
Damn it! Why did I forget about today?! Ako pa mismo ang unang nakabasa noon kagabi! Damn you, Francine Kae! Damn you!
"Sigurado ka ba? May dala naman si Psalm na bike. Pwede ko 'yon hiramin para sunduin ka dyan. O 'di kaya naman ay pumunta na lang kami diyan." Suhestiyon pa ni Esther.
"'Wag na. Magpapahatid na lang ako. Baka mapagod ka pa kakapadyak o 'di kaya naman ay sayang sa pera." I said as I brushed my teeth.
"Are you really sure about it?"
"Yes. I am more than of sure." I said before putting my toothbrush back on.
Ibababa ko na sana ang tawag nang hindi na siya sumagot nang bigla na lang niya ako tawagin. Mabuti na lang ay nakaspeaker iyon kaya narinig ko agad.
"Francine," He called.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Good afternoon." He greeted sweetly which made me stilled.
When I looked at my reflection on the mirror, I saw how my cheeks blushed. I bit my lower lip to prevent the smile that was slowly forming before clearing my throat.
