A second chance

Kaminari stood up from his bed with a sigh, having finally finished the book. His vision went black and the whole world spun for a second as he stood, swaying on his feet.

"Woah there," he mumbled to himself as he regained his balance and vision cleared.

He came to the conclusion he should find something to eat. He hadn't eaten dinner the night before, and he hadn't had the chance to have breakfast, so it had almost been a whole day since he'd last eaten anything.

He continued his search through his wardrobe from a couple hours ago. All he needed was something with a collar he could flick up. But he couldn't find anything that would properly hide his soulmarks.

Ok then. He'd have to figure something else out.

Hey Mina
Can you get me some food?
Please?

Even though everything was figured out now, Kaminari couldn't help but let out a groan. He hated this.

He heard another ping from his phone and pulled it out again.

Hey maybe this will make you feel better. Bakugo and Kiri are mucking around in the foyer, it's so cute!

He opened the image, and his stomach twisted in envy. The problem was, he didn't know if he was envious of Bakugo, for hanging out with his crush, or Kirishima, for enjoying time with his soulmate.

And that's when it hit him. He'd been rejected. By his soulmate.

And sure, his entire childhood he'd had to be careful, making sure that he didn't meet his soulmate. He wore the choker, because he didn't want to be violated. And he'd never told anyone about it, in case they thought he was joking, or overreacting.

But, deep down, he'd always hoped for something better than that. He'd hoped that they'd meet when he was older.

Maybe he liked to hookup? Maybe he liked being choked? Maybe his soulmate would be nice?

All these maybes, because he knew it wouldn't be like that, but he had always hoped. He couldn't help it.

And now? Now he knew who his soulmate was. And his soulmate had rejected him. For-

His other soulmate.

Kaminari stood up with a start, and then rushed over his mirror.

Now that he thought about it, not all of his soulmarks had been activated. He had one activated handprint on his neck, but he'd actually had two white ones before.

His arms were still relatively untouched, with only one hand on his shoulder. Bakugo had barely touched him really. His fingers were also amber, from where he'd struggled against Bakugo's grip.

But the main one was his lips. Bakugo had most certainly not kissed him. Which led Kaminari to only one conclusion.

Bakugo wasn't his only soulmate.

Kaminari continued to look over his body, checking over all his soulmarks, and couldn't help but getting excited.
