Okay now for tips.
I draw my people anime style. But now I am trying a new style, which is still anime-ish, but less of the usual wide anime eyes and more of a catoon eyes like in that one pic with all my girl OCs. And less of the chin which seems to be very pointy and may lead to accidents.
I draw my animal eyes without a lower lid.
Eyes are round pupils, different kinds eyelids and eyelashes (round, almond, etc.) one highlight at the top left of their eyes (still depends on where the light is), round irises (or those black thing in the middle of the eyes, idk what is that) as well, two streaks below the iris for the color part of the eyes which idk what is that called.
Pardon I don't do digital drawings most times, but when I do, I use a dodge for highlights (I use Photoshop to color, btw) and shade from Highlights/Saturation on a usual -15 to -40 color, depending on the light.
