A Curse of Luck (A kidnapped story)(7)

Start from the beginning

"Yes, yes he is fine and yes he is being sold as well. Please try to stay calm when you do see him try to stay close, after you are both sold you will be taken to be transported to your destinations."

"Won't the people that bought us, I spat, that part out, be taking us with them?"

"No most that are in power send servants to do that work for them, and have their well, merchandise delivered to them so you both are in the same carriage."

"Merchandise that what we are to them products!"

"I know it is awful, but that is what's become of this world now hurry they will be coming to take you to the auction room. No more question, and I am sorry this is all I can do for you. You seem very nice and kind much like my daughter was, you should not be here."

We are both silenced by a knock on the door. I quickly stick the necklace down my shirt, no were else to put it, another reason I hate dresses.

Lesley walks in and looks me up and down. "You look very presentable."

I just glare at her I'm sure I do like some living doll waiting to be bought, it's sickening which I would have said if it would not get Fran in trouble. Who knows what they would do to her if they did find out.

"Come it is time", Lesley motions me out the door I look back to find Fran is following. Thank goodness, I feel just a little bit better with her close by.

We continue down the same hallways as before, and I'm pretty sure we are heading to the same room as before.

Yes, it is the same room, that looks more like an interrogation room than an auctioning place, not that I have ever been to an auction especially one for people.

Next the door opposite of the one I came through opens to reveal Will, I'm so relieved he looks fine and in good health. He looks pretty relieved to see me himself, or I might be mistaken.

“ALL RIGHT LETS BEGIN, WE WILL START WITH THE MALE." The voice spoke from speaker once again. Will is pushed forward in front of the two way mirror.

“WILLIAM HUNTER AGE 21,

SPECIES DEMON, TYPE UNKNOWN.

IN EXCELLENT HEALTH, BIDDING WILL START AT $100,000."

Demon, he just called Will a demon what's with these people, is this some kind insane asylum.

But Fran did tell me things aren't what they seem. Will glances at me and gives me a small smile, I cannot help but give a small smile back.

“TURN TO THE SIDE", the voice orders Will.

He obeys, It's quiet for a while, I'm glad it's like a silent auction. I would be ever more of a wreck if I could see the sick bastard that is buying me. I get knots in my stomach just thinking about it.

"SOLD!! FINAL AMOUNT $550,000"

Wow, is all I could think someone paid that much, putting a price on someone alone is disgusting enough. Will is pulled back to the sidelines, that's when I notice he was shackled his wrist and feet. I wonder why only shackle him, and not me?

"NOW FOR A RARE OCCURRENCE, Lesley pulls me forward I am so nervous I start to fidget, tucking my hair behind my ear and observing my nails like they are the most interesting thing on the planet.

“PLEASE, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND TURN IN A FULL CIRCLE, SLOWLY. "

I do as he says, my dress flowing with me as I move. I'm getting pretty anxious. Fran made it sound as if her and Will have a plan, but she couldn't give me any details. I don't know what's going to happen and It unsettles me.

“WHITNEY ROSE, FEMALE, AGE 18.”

“POSSES DEMON GENETICS MORE REVILED AFTER PURCHASE.”

“HEALTH, SUPERB CONDITION.”

“STILL A VIRGIN.”

THE BIDDING WILL BEGIN AT $450,000."

I gasp what kinds of people have that kind of money, and for a person. And did they say demon genetics, what the hell does that mean?

I'm just hoping that no one will sees me worth that much, and I won’t be sold, but Will was sold so if I'm to stick with him like Fran said to do, I need to be sold, and with any luck by the same person.

Then again I'm talking about my luck here.

I'm doomed nothing ever goes my way.
