Sitting on the edge of a cliff, smoking my cigarette
The world looks smaller from here
It feels like.. nothing really matters
I look down and all I can see is water and waves, fighting, playing, coexisting...
I wanna go for a swim.
I get up to go to the bench, grab my bag
I get my phone and call him
Ringing.. no reply
Ringing again. "I'm a bit busy here, call you later okay?" Hangs up.
Staring at my phone... I call again," is something going on?" He asks. Hearing people in the background, I hang up.
I go back and sit on my spot, I turn on the music.
Smoking and looking at the sky, the waves...then the horizon. What a small world we live in!
I wanna go for a swim.
The music is still on.. grabbing my bottle of whisky, I drink half of it in one go.
Staring at the waves until the world feels more wavy and blurry.. that temporary quick euphoria that hits minutes later...
It feels better when the music is louder so I turn the volume to its loudest

I look at the waves again,
I miss you... I whisper
I miss you... I repeat.
I wish you were here...
but you're not,
I wish I could hear your voice one more time, staring at my phone that is still on the bench, the music is playing still
I look at the sky... it's drizzling
If only you were here... I look at the waves again, then close my eyes
Breathing...
I wanna go for a swim.
I finally finish my cigarette,
The world feels better when I'm not sober,
when the music is louder,
I look at the ocean again,
Without a single thought crossing my mind...I finally jump in,
I fall into the water in a matter of seconds.. the cliff is so high yet I couldn't feel a thing...
I wanted to fly but my body was underwater in a flash
My head finally gets above water. It's freezing, I can't feel my body... I look at the sky
The clouds moving in harmony with the waves, it's beautiful
I close my eyes and feel the waves carrying me.. still hearing the echo of my favourite song playing from the top of the cliff,
.. I'm free...
I don't' know where the waves are taking me,
I don't know where I'm headed,
But I'm free.
