Author's POV

Aman and Aneesha sat silently with many thoughts going on in their minds. Both were feeling equally nervous and awkward. None knew what to say or how to say.

"Umm, Hi. I'm Aman." Aman said breaking the silence. He forwarded his hand with a smile looking at Aneesha.

"Hello. I'm Aneesha." Aneesha replied slowly while forwarding her hand for a handshake.

"I know this is quite awkward and you must be feeling equally nervous like me. But we need to say what we have in our hearts. We must be honest and try to know each other. It's about both our lives." Aman said as a matter of fact

"Yes, you are right." Aneesha replied while serving him tea

"Umm so I'll begin since I feel you are not so comfortable. And that's completely alright. I understand." Aman said politely.
Aneesha smiled at him feeling grateful.

"So I'm Aman Raizada. I'm 28 years old. I work as the CEO of the Raizada industries. I did my under graduation in Delhi itself and went to London for completing my masters and did internships there to gain experience before stepping into our family business. I wanted to be capable enough for the position. People might say I got it the easy way or that I was born with a silver spoon but I've never taken my position for granted. I've given my heart and soul to my occupation.I live with my grandmother, parents and younger sister as you might know. My paternal uncle and his family live in the adjoining house to ours. We might live in separate houses but we are always together and really close. In fact my bhabhi knows Kanika bhabhi as well. I think I've spoken a lot. I'm sorry." Aman said

"Oh you don't need to be sorry for anything. To be honest, I was enjoying listening to you. It's rare to see so much love in a joint family these days. Touchwood." Aneesha replied honestly making Aman smile.

"Umm so what should I tell about me. I'm Aneesha Singhania. I'm 23 years old and completing my MBA from Delhi itself. I plan to do internship in a few months to gather experience. Then I want to join our family business and help dad and bhai. I have a very loving and supporting family. My parents, bhai, bhabhi and our little munchkin Arush." Aneesha replied

"May I ask you a question? If you don't mind." Aman said

" Yeah sure. You don't need to ask." Aneesha replied

"Why did you agree for the proposal? I mean I know nothing is final yet but it's just that you are young and still studying. Is there any pressure? Trust me if there is any issue I'll go and talk to everyone. You need not worry."

"Oh no no. I appreciate your concern. My parents have never forced me for anything ever. Marriage was not there on the cards for next few years. But then this proposal came that got them thinking. I trust them and there is no harm in meeting once. I won't lie. Initially I was hesitant and resisted but then I know my family would never force me and final answer would be mine."

"Oh okay. Good to know. So Umm anything you would like to ask or know?" Aman asked while sipping his tea.

"What do you expect from a relationship or marriage?"

"Understanding, respect, honesty, trust and loyalty. I look forward to friendship and companionship. I think they are the foundation of any relationship. Only then can love follow. I want a partner who can understand my silence. She must love my family and keep them together like I've seen my mother, chachiji and bhabhi do. What about you?"

"I agree with what all you said. To be honest I'm surprised to see a guy understand relations to this extent. I want my partner to be my best friend first and then my lover. I want to be able to be me in front of him. No filtration, no barrier, nothing. The one who is able to see through me. He must love my family like I would love his." Aneesha replied
