I fucked up.
I completely fucked up.

They had seen it... they had seen my fucking tattoo, which meant that by now everyone in the gang knew about my little secret.
I would've loved to slap myself, but although I was more than frustrated about the outcome, I didn't regret anything.

I didn't really want to admit it, but today Donghyuck almost got shot and the thought that I was able to prevent it comforted me a little bit... even if it wasn't supposed to.

With my lips pressed together and my eyes completely shut, I was laying on the soft bed of the guest room while signing dissatisfied. The sun was slowly but surely setting, causing golden rays to break into the small room and fall upon me with a pleasant warmth.

Although I loved the effect of the sun on my skin, I couldn't enjoy the moment as there was still an unbelievable pain in my body, making it nearly impossible for me to concentrate on anything else but the dreadful pulsation of my nerves.
One of the medics had given me painkillers, but the effect was slowly but surely vanishing.

So I continued to lie there in silence, my hands clenched into fists, my chest rising considerably with each deep breath and my head that seemed to go crazy with the whole situation.
The day was really about to end just like that, huh?

Several more minutes went by in which I desperately tried to distract myself somehow, until there was a sudden knock on the door, my head automatically shooting up.
At that moment I tried to lift my heavy body a little to lean against the wall behind me, energy quickly leaving me once again.

"Great," I laughed ironically as the door opened shortly afterwards and two all-too-familiar figures entered while a obvious fake smile formed on my lips, "the boss and his puppy have decided to pay me a visit. Unfortunately, visiting hours are from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., so feel free to turn around and leave me alone."
