Love sometimes hurts but...
Fluttering...chirping...fresh morning breeze against my face. This was pretty much the amazing things I wake up to each day.. I just got accepted into my dream university VINCEBRIDGE UNIVERSITY but VU for short and I still haven’t told my parents, I think I might die holding in all these happiness. My university has a totally different environment from my home, part being that it is in the city.. well mostly because it was in the city. And because it was a university that everyone wanted to attend which was not surprising though.
My name’s Samantha, but my parents and friends call me Sam for short, my older brother Chase, he calls me man, but Sam on a good day. I’m 16 years old and I love nature which is why I want to study zoology. I have always been a straight A student and sometimes my parents try convincing me to study medicine, saying I have the brains for it, that might be true but what is most vital is the passion! And no Sir! I have no passion for it.
“Sam!!!” I hear chase call. “Its time for breakfast! “
“Well you don’t have to shout chase, you are standing right in front of my door" replied. I was really enjoying my early morning reflection stroke meditation.
“Well" chase said while moving closer to me and sitting on my bed “what is little man up to?” He asked now standing and going through my stuff.
I roll my eyes and get up from my bed “private stuff" I said, grabbing my notebook from his strong hands.
“I got accepted by the way, into VU. I’m going to be a zoologist pretty soon “ I announce proudly.
“Whoa!!! Seriously? This calls for celebration “ chase said popping an imaginary champagne.
“Sam! Chase! You two better get down here before the food gets cold! No one wants a cold breakfast!” my mom called out to us.
“hey, slow down Mr, I haven’t told mom and dad yet, got the email yesterday and only Hayley knows for now and you... so please no telling “ I said
“Fine, tell them over breakfast though. We have a lot of preparation ahead of us. How’s Hayley by the way?” Chase said ,trying his best to sound casual.
I always knew those two had feelings for each other but they couldn’t bring themselves into admitting it and its just so annoying and sad all the same time.
“She’s fine, she’s coming over today, we are going shopping.” I say looking over at Chase with my side eyes and I immediately notice how his body tensed with excitement... I chuckle.
“OH, okay. Umm.” he clears his throat “let’s go down before Mrs Ross comes to fetch us her self" he says with a quiet laugh.
“Yeah" I said.. following close behind as we head downstairs.
