We had gotten back to the motel where me and Marcey were salting the doors and windows in the room we were sharing. The boys were in the motel room next to ours.
I had just finished the salt line on the door when Marcey dropped her salt can and spilled it on her arm and she jumped away.
Her arm sizzled and turned red.
"Marcey-?" I was cut off when Marcey's eyes flashed black as an invisible force lifted me off the floor and slammed me against the wall.
"Unfortunate," the demon said as I tried helplessly to move down somehow. I was stuck to the wall. "I liked being Marcey."
"How long have you been possessing her?"I asked.
How could I not notice my best friend was a demon?
"Oh don't worry" not-Marcey grinned "just since the graveyard it hasn't even been an hour. She's still in here screaming. Shes watching everything that's happening"
"Maria? Marcey? What was that noise?" Ethan asked referring to the loud bang it made when the demon used the force to attach me to the wall.
"Get out of her" I glared straight at the pitch black eyes that looked so strange on Marcey's face. "Or I swear I will send you back to hell myself"
"Last time I checked you were a bit stuck" it smirked.
Ethan tried to twist the handle and push the door open but it was locked.
"Oh I'll get down eventually. If you wanted me dead you already had several chances"
"Oh I wouldn't dream of killing you Maria" laughed the demon.
"Are you ok?" Alfie called. "Guys this isn't funny open up!"
"You'll wish you had" I threatened from my absolutely terrifying position of being magically glued to a wall my feet dangling a foot from the floor.
"No no I won't. some very powerful people want you alive" it said "and besides, what fun would that be?"
"Marcey? Maria?" Jason shouted banging on the door "ok stand back from the door."
"Who wants me alive?" I asked but didn't get a reply as Jason apparently kicked the door down.
And with that she disappeared and I fell from the wall and collapsed on the floor.
