Chapter 29: Ethan

"Maria calm down it's still me." Said Ethan. He looked around at our faces.

Does it think we were born yesterday?

"Ok guys um... Ok so... Hey remember that werewolf hunt we had that everyone got really messed up on right before we came to the bunker. Well... I got bitten so I'm a werewolf now. Maria I would really appreciate it if you would put the silver knife down."

"You're what?" Sam asked.

I casually stepped in between Sam and Ethan. I had no idea what Sam was going to do and if Ethan was actually Ethan and not a shapeshifter then I wasn't going to let anyone shoot him, werewolf or not. If he was a shapeshifter then he was the only one who knew where the real Ethan was.

"Look see" Ethan held up his hand. His fingernails lengthened into claws, his eyes turned yellow and wolf like, and his teeth got bigger. "Werewolf."

"You can change when there's not a full moon?" Asked Jason.

"Yeah I think I'm a "pureblood" werewolf." Ethan made finger quotes around the word pureblood "I was bitten by a first, second, or third generation werewolf and so I have control over when I change." Said Ethan.

"Why didn't you tell us?" I asked.

"Um Maria you are standing in front of me with a silver knife." Said Ethan.

"Point taken." I set the knife down.

"Werewolves need to eat hearts though," Alfie said "so how are you still alive?"

"I sneak out every now and then and kill a cow or something." Ethan said "I didn't attack anyone human."

"That's good I guess. Ethan could you just go upstairs or somewhere? And find Dean and tell him to come in here?"

Ethan looked a little relieved to be getting out of the room. After he did I just sat down on the floor. I held my face in my hands.

Why does this sort of thing keep happening?

"What are we going to do about that?" I asked.

"About what?" Dean asked walking in "Ethan said you guys needed me to come in here."

Sam then explained.

"How did 6 hunters not notice that?" Asked Dean.

"Looking back I guess there were a few things..." I said "we weren't paying attention. Like when we were fighting vampires Ethan got to me from across the room in a few seconds, werewolf super speed. I asked him about it and he lied... I was a bit distracted by the vampires. Then when we were hunting that wendigo he heard Jenny's husband yelling way before the rest of us could."

"There was other stuff. And he was awake in the morning before me and Alfie a lot." Jason added "He was going out to find hearts to eat I guess."

"That's gross." Said Alfie.

"Would you rather be dead or have Ethan eating chicken organs?"

"It's still gross" Alfie said.

"Yeah don't tell him that." I said. "What are we going to do?"

"Figure out a way to get animal hearts without Ethan going wolverine on a cow." Said Dean. We looked at Dean.

"What?" He asked.

"We just didn't expect you to be so calm about this." I said.

"He didn't kill anyone." Dean reasoned "He seems pretty in control and some werewolves have managed it before."

"Garth" said Jason.

"That's still freaky." Said Dean.

"We could be worse." I said "I mean, we're not slashfans or anything."

They made faces at the mention.

"Destiel" Marcey whispered. Sam laughed. Dean glared.

"Sabriel." I added. Now they looked confused.

"Don't ask" Jason said shaking his head. "You don't want to know"

"Don't get them started." Warned Alfie.

"So you're fine with us staying in the bunker and everything still?" I asked.

"Yes." Answered Dean.

"Ok what the heck is Sabriel?" Sam asked.

Jason and Alfie decided this was a really good time to leave the room.

So I tried to keep my promise but this won't upload.

I researched it and just touching silver does hurt werewolves according to Garth but not enough to leave a mark or anything. I had to watch 3 depressing episodes to get this information so I hope you're happy.
